Vacation rentals with a kayak in Pulaski County

We've rented numerous vacation homes, and Jill's is an absolute stand-out! Every detail has been thought of in the wonderful kitchen, the beautiful bedrooms, the living spaces and all of the indoor and outdoor recreation for all ages. We stayed there for Va Tech graduation and wish we'd had more time at the house to enjoy everything. The screened porches are amazing. We spent lots of time out there, watching wildlife around the lake, listening to birds, playing games, and even enjoying a rainstorm. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home with excellent views of the lake and valley--it was especially lovely as the leaves were turning. Also, the place has dark skies for star-gazing on a clear night. All rooms were clean and as-presented in the photos and description. Jeff sent some very helpful info and photos to help us drive in to the house--especially helpful since the last ~1 mile is on a private, relatively narrow road. Also, my Android Maps app on my phone was clearly sending me to the wrong location (i.e., not to the lake), so we relied on my spouse's I-Phone--which brought us right in. (Interestingly, Google Maps on my laptop had showed the correct location, but Google navigation on my phone was pointing elsewhere.) Recommend you pre-check your nav feature in advance of your arrival. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a serene location with great views and lake access.

Overall, it was a beautiful stay. We were grateful to be able to stay for our granddaughter's graduation. We felt like the animal heads were a bit excessive, and the young children were a little afraid, it was really like a museum, but a lot was displayed on the site, and it made the stay interesting. It was a little farther than we wanted to go, because we were all coming from the North, but overall, everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the home and stay. You may want to fix the chairs in the kitchen and give the outdoors a little facelift in the back, it's so beautiful, but looked possibly pre-season neglected. Also, we missed having a cheese grater. We really enjoyed the ground hog with the 2 babies, and it brought joy to everyone watching them come out and sun. It would be nice to have a hand guard rail on the dock ramp for seniors, it was pretty steep. Thank you again for hosting us for our joyful family occasion. It was very memorable!

Good location away from the town and great hospitality

We had a great time staying at Owens Oasis! The house is beautiful, super clean, and well stocked. The views of the lake from the home are amazing! The house offers plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and great amenities! This is one of the best places we have rented on Airbnb! The hosts are very friendly, very responsive and always willing to help with any questions you may have! This will definitely be our go to home to rent whenever visiting Claytor Lake!

We gathered here with family from NC, GA, and PA a few days after Christmas. There were 12 of us and one pet and ages ranged from 16-81 and there was plenty of space for everyone in this large home. Being winter we couldn’t take advantage of activities on the lake but there were plenty of board games and a game room that were well enjoyed by all. We highly recommend this home and Chris is a friendly and helpful host.

Absolutely beautiful location and Home. Kayak right off the property onto Claytor lake. It is in a remote location which makes it private and beautiful. But it also makes it a little further to get to any surrounding towns. a minimum of at least 25 minutes to get to Radford itself and any other activities could be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour away partially because of “country” roads. Twisty and hilly. We loved our stay, the house was set up perfectly for our 3 families vacation, providing everyone with privacy. Highly recommend.

Alicia was a proactive and responsive host to a great home that afforded a very restful stay. Amenities were the best we’ve ever experienced at an Air B&B. Coffee, snacks, toiletries, plentiful supplies and quality towels and linens added to the experience. The welcome gifts (a strudel from a local bakery and bottle of wine) were enjoyed and were a classy touch. We booked the home to relax with family over Easter. The home exceed all expectations. Highly recommend this home and host.

We had a fun time at Chris’ lake house. It was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities as described. Hot tub (with its private surround) was enjoyable during the winter temps. Ample kitchen supplies since there aren’t any restaurants around. Make sure to get groceries beforehand!

Thank-you Frank for sharing your New River get away house with us. We loved being able to drive back and forth to our nearby home in order to care for our other fur kiddos. I appreciate you being flexible to allowing us to bring Buddy last minute too. We didn't mind the train noise at all. Beautiful view on the front porch of the river, we really enjoyed how peaceful the place is.

Absolutely beautiful location! Perfect home for our nephews college graduation. We spent most of the days outside on the deck overlooking the peaceful lake. The entire home was comfortable and welcoming. We especially liked the record player in the living room. Would love to visit this home in the fall to see the foliage. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us on our special weekend.

We loved our stay at The Cottage! The home is rich with history, is so charming, inviting and so relaxing. The bikes and kayaks are a huge plus! Everything was great! We hope to return later in the year! Highly recommend!

it was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd anniversary. We felt refreshed and at peace. The sauna and hot tub were definitely a pleasure. My favorite night was when I was in the hot tub and it was raining on the tin roof. so relaxing. If we ever go back I will definitely want to stay there again

Tommy is an excellent host and communicated well and quickly to any of our questions. Very helpful with lots of recommendations. His cabin is a unique gem in the woods just as described in pictures and details. Very cozy comfortable with great things like fenced in yard for our dog. The pond and nearby trails. The little word pictures on the refrigerator door (a little detail that was wonderful idea). Definitely recommend Tommy and his cabin in the mountains. The town of Floyd great place to visit with lots of activities, restaurants, and friendly people. Location close to BR Pkwy and other local activities. Will visit again!!!

Beautiful cabin with a beautiful lake! Enjoyed my stay one immensely!! Made the best memories here! Owners are kinda amazing people! So sweet in offering their, asparagus, ping pong table, puzzles, and flower blooms in the garden for picking! 10/10 recommend. Oh and they have all the boats and kayaking gear you need for lake rides 👍

We wanted a relaxing weekend getaway to enjoy some family time and R&R. The remoteness of the cabin was perfect for that. Although we recommend arriving in the daytime, it was dark when we got there and that single lane road going in was a tad scary. Lol The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The amenities were spot on. There was plenty of room to accommodate our crew (2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog). The hot tub was great and we enjoyed sitting around the table playing games and sharing laughs. Definitely a nice relaxing weekend spent making memories!

Cozy relaxing cabin, endless amenities from linens, bath towels, towels for hot tub, Keurig and coffee makers, full kitchen, as well as dog bowls. Nice outdoor yard with fire pit and beautiful view of the starry skies! We felt right at home for our long weekend visiting New River Gorge NP!

The cabin was beautiful and in a nice, quiet location and the river was amazing.

Super clean and well appointed. Neat cabin, hot tub and sauna! Nice and secluded which was exactly what we wanted. Winery and restaurants about a 30 minute drive. You will not be disappointed if you stay at the cabin!
