WATERFRONT by Kabani Riverside

It was a great experience to stay in a tree house. It was my first time and I am not gonna get over this beautiful feeling of staying here anytime soon. There is calm river flowing right in front of the tree house. There is a beautiful farm where you can take a stroll and explore the various vegetation the family is taking care of. Mahima helped me set up a beautiful candle light dinner which definitely helped me to have one of the most beautiful experiences so far. Highly recommended. Please go and enjoy the hospitality.

Tree house - Spectacular sky views

MuraliRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay at the tree house. It was a great find for us - the property maintains a lush green environment. - the glass open views from the house was magical. Waking up to squirrels running and birds singing. - there is a nice private campfire set up. - especially the home cooked food and caretakers were amazing. Definitely don't miss the stay.

I would say it was a very blissful experience… Mohamed was a great host… he helped us from being to host to being a guide… he has a very great knowledge about environment and importance of one. The stay was awesome a turnaround experience. The place is beautiful as it looks, quiet & calm, maintained very well… i would recommend anyone going to Pondicherry to stay at Mohamed’s for a night and collate the experience. On whole more than anything around i would say Mohamed is a very kind, gentle and down to earth personality. He is surely a host we all would look in for… He served a detoxifying chai which was truly amazing. Would recommend this place 💯.. When visiting try to converse with him to gather wider knowledge. We really had a wonderful experience staying there and conversing with him was more amazing. Thank you Mohamed for hosting us and sharing your knowledge with us!!!!

A great place nestled between verdant tea plantation with scenic views was very refreshing and a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The host Mrs. Molly was really friendly and courteous, special mention to Sanu who is very knowledgeable and helpful and went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. We had a great experience overall.

The Granary:wooden cabin on stilts!

SiddarthaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Highly recommended if you're looking to escape the city and experience true nature. This cottage is designed for relaxation and is located in a serene area, with plenty of spots to explore within a 15–20 km radius. You can spend 3–4 hours roaming nearby places, then come back to unwind—the mornings and evenings here are pure bliss, especially in monsoon-like weather. The host is incredibly responsive and friendly. Thank you, Jyothi, for your warm hospitality, and a special thanks to Jyothsna for patiently addressing all my queries in detail. One small suggestion: it would be great if you could provide an induction stove and some milk in the freezer. It would have been perfect to enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee in this beautiful weather—we really missed that. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! 👍

Rejuvenate yourself at Rahut Tree House

ShrutiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you're a nature lover then this place is perfect! Our stay was everything that we thought it would be - we walked around the jungle and spent a lot of time in the water stream! Some things to know before you visit: 1. Important to carry an insect repellant since it's in the middle of a forest 2. It's a 20 min drive from Peravoor, most resturants are located here. Since the cabin is quite remote, you would need to visit Peravoor for meals. Plan accordingly! 3. MOST IMPORTANT - The water stream is a one of a kind experience, do not miss spending time in it :)
A studio-bedroom features a queen-sized bed with blue bedding, complemented by two pillows. Natural light enters through large windows, enhancing the earthy tones of the walls. A mirror reflects the room, while a ceiling fan is positioned for added ventilation.

And yet by bicycle , motorbike or TukTuk it’s very easy to explore all what Auroville has to offer . The garden is spacious enough to have privacy also when other guests are there . The shared kitchen is another plus . The staff is very friendly and discreet and keeping the place well clean . Rekha and Michael are great hosts . Luxury Farm Stay & Private Pool

ShanyaRating, 5 stars26 months ago
A wonderful weekend getaway. It's peaceful, unique and calm. You have privacy and can have a good time chilling in the pool. Although since it's in the middle of farmlands, there may be small insects around that are hard to keep out of the water. Aside from that, there's a functional kitchen and everything is accurately described in the listing. Vivek, the host, is proactive - they kept us informed days in advance, discussed the weather, things to do around, and directions to the exact remote spot and were available promptly for all queries. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend reset near Bangalore.

A nice place to stay along the Kabini river. We need to cross the river on a boat to reach the property. Clean and well maintained. The only con is that we need to cross the river using a boat everytime we need something small or to visit the market. Make sure to carry what you need beforehand.

The place is awesome exactly as shown in the pics. It’s not the place which made our stay amazing, it was the care taker Sivadas who made it memorable. Shivadas is one awesome proactive care taker available 24/7 for any help. Shivadas and wife Lata have excellent culinary skills you don’t have to find any restaurant for any food. From mutton to dosa everything was finger lickingly tasty. This will be our go to place in Ooty. Thank you Nisha and team!!

Tool House (1): Great Estate Stay for Remote Work

MagnaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The property itself has a beautiful rustic charm, perfectly blending into its surroundings of gorgeous plantations. The host was absolutely wonderful and genuinely passionate about making sure guests feel at home. Their team was also incredibly helpful, always around with a smile if we needed anything, but never intrusive either. And then there were the dogs and cats! The cats are pretty chilled out. If you love dogs, then you’ll be glad to know that they’ll accompany you for your walks through the plantations. If you are scared of dogs, please note that these guys are super gentle and they know to keep their distance in case they sense that we aren’t super playful with them. One small thing to keep in mind is that food needs to be ordered well in advance. But honestly, it’s a small ask considering that they source everything fresh from local businesses. And the quality of the food speaks for itself. We were looking for a peaceful place to spend a few days and Raho was absolutely it.
A cozy sleeping area is seen with a spacious bed covered by a vibrant orange blanket. Two individuals are positioned on the bed, engaged in activities. Natural light filters through a skylight, highlighting the wooden walls and colorful rug on the floor.

Tiny Hobbes @ Elephant Country, Bangalore

AnnRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Lovely spot to unwind and get away for the weekend. The room itself is well-maintained and clean. It was just about comfortable, but bordering on warm. (This is in the rainy season so not sure how the summer months would be with the glass roof). The highlight for us was the 6 dogs on the property who are very friendly and well-behaved. Staff are super accomodating and the food is great! (simple and homely meals made well!) Ram was especially helpful! John (the on-site host) also cooked us a lovely dish, which my husband and I really enjoyed! Data and network connectivity was quite poor and the Wifi didn't reach our room. It's a large property but not much to do other than walk around and chill with the dogs (not complaining!) I suggest bringing sports/games like badminton, board games, books, or crafts to keep yourself occupied. P.S. It's quite close to the Bannerghatta National Park so it's worth planning a day there if you're coming all the way.

Family Beach Cottage @Tantofarbeach

TrupthiRating, 5 stars55 months ago
I had an amazing cottage stay. The staff were sweet and helpful, there’s a pool, and a sea view from the common spaces. Everything was perfect, except the fact that there were hell lot of mosquitoes in the cottage even when we were using an all out. It has a private entrance to the beach, but not a private beach. It's budget-friendly, and I recommend this cottage stay:)

Offbeat Experience : Stay in a Shipping Container

RajeeshRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were initially skeptical about how secluded and serene this container home would be as it is so close to Bangalore city. But all we have to say about this place is positive. Right from the location to the hospitality, everything provided by the host is excellent. The service staff Pushpa was very polite and helpful. Everything is so meticulously planned and arranged to make the guests feel just like home, maybe even better! How they have managed to utilise the space and provide more than necessary things to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable is really appreciable! One would have to be really be nitpicky to criticise this place. They have placed a calling bell at the gate for privacy and security. They have also provided a washing machine with a drying area if you’re planning on extending your stay. The lawn was also maintained well and our doggo had a really fun time running around! Overall we had a very pleasant stay!

StayVista at The Goldilocks w/ Pool, Lawn, Wi-Fi

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The property is tucked away in a quiet pocket, yet still feels super connected — it’s that perfect balance of seclusion without isolation. The house has a sort of lived-in charm, like it’s meant to be enjoyed with friends, not just admired. What stood out most wasn’t the fancy bits (though the pool and garden are a vibe) — it was the warmth of the team, the quiet mornings, and the comfort of just... being. It’s not trying to be anything overly polished, and that’s what makes it feel real. You can sprawl out, read a book, have long late dinners, or just take it slow. Goldilok's felt more like borrowing someone’s much-loved home than checking into a rental. Definitely the kind of place that lingers in your head a bit after you leave.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Everything was just perfect — the setting, the view, and especially the pool, which was definitely the highlight for us. Roy, the caretaker, was wonderful and did everything we asked for. Though we had a bit of a language barrier since he speaks only Malayalam, Google Translate came to the rescue and it all worked out smoothly. A beautiful stay in a beautiful place — would definitely recommend!

Birds Eye Estate Geodesic Glamping Domes

Ravi Prasad Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
Place is good but can't exactly be called as Glamping as it is more within the compound of a house overlooking coffee estate. I suggest hosts provide at least some basic stuff to guests to make their own coffee & tea because the place is on extreme outskirts of the town and nothing can be bought or ordered from nearby. for everything we need to call and inform care taker & cook, who take inordinate time to get simple things. Otherwise they can inform the guests in advance to get their own things while coming. Also the food bill was not proper GST bill, though GST was charged at 12%, though Govt mandated GST is only 5%. Need to be transparent in such matters. Overall it was good but can be far better.
