Cabin vacation rentals in Province of Como

As soon as we stepped onto the steep footpath to follow Greta up to the hillside cabin we knew we were in a special place. Time becomes irrelevant as you gaze out over the beautiful lake to the forested mountains on the other side. You hear only church bells, cuckoo birds, and cow bells from the friendly little herd that roams around up there. The experience is priceless. It was only a short walk to the trail that leads up to the top of the mountain (and over to Switzerland if you want!). It’s a fun walk down through the village’s old stone pathways to reach the lake below. The cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable. Greta and her family cheerfully take care of getting your luggage and groceries up and down and are very attentive to getting you anything you may need. Enjoy your time!!

This house is just amazing! Beautifully placed on a very private spot, very well equipped and super clean. We had a wonderful stay with our family and would definately love to come again!

We had the most amazing stay here at wonderful. Everything was like the pictures and clean. The place had every amenity you could wish for it was the perfect stay. Walking up the stairs to reach the front door and seeing the view was a memory we will remember forever it is breathtaking. Waking up in the morning and seeing the lake and mountains was beautiful. Carlos and Andrea are great hosts and Andrea was always at the end of the phone giving us tips on parking and taxis as parking is minimal in Varenna. We would definitely book again as the place is amazing. Thank you so much for letting us stay

Eleonora’s apartement is very comfortable with a beautiful view for the lake. She’s very kind and helpful during all our stay.

Family weekend in September, we were able to enjoy the shores of the lake, the cottage is really on the water. Very nice view. Perfect for a relaxing weekend. Well equipped, just provide all the linens including duvets and dish towels. Tourist tax to be paid at the campsite reception.

The accommodation was as described. However, you should note, even if the description says that the path to the house is unpaved, you need a corresponding car to get to the house. We had our problems with our lowered car. But getting upstairs, you will be rewarded with an idyll and tranquility. You're practically alone up there. In the middle of nature. The house has everything you need, not too much, not too little. Lorena as a host was super nice. She waited for us at check-in and drove her way up with us for the first time. Otherwise, it was always great to reach and even when the boiler stopped working, she quickly found a solution. Within an hour, she accommodated us elsewhere where we spent the remaining days. All in all it was a very nice time and we will definitely be back.

Baita Ca Maria is located in the middle of nature on a mountain. Direct view of the lake around the corner. Accommodation is very lovingly furnished. Details make the little cabin a home away from home. There are opportunities to sit outside. The cabin is a short walk away.

We had a lovely stay at Marco's house with our three children. The environment and the view of the lake are the main assets but which are worth it! It's not easy to get to the mountain! This is an important point to keep in mind before booking!

The stay was fantastic, not only the architecture of the house, but we also loved the decor. And of course this view of the Lake of Como - unbeatable. The whole thing in an incredibly cozy village. A neighbor had even brought a bottle of wine to make it because of the noise because of the noise. Warmly. Thanks for the opportunity to relax for a few more days.

We were warmly welcomed by Silvia, who was very responsive and gave us lots of recommendations! The cottage was very clean, and the view was extraordinary. Having a good car to do the 30 min climb is a must, but the environment is worth it!! We'll be happy to go back! Thanks again!

Had a wonderful stay, close to the lake. Communication fast. Had no TV reception and wanted to see Olympic games. Was immediately resolved and a new cabinet installed. Will definitely come back!

Nice chalet on a nice campsite. Good location close to the lake of Lugano. Communication with Andre was very good, there were no ambiguities and Andre was quick to respond. We had a nice holiday.

Accommodation in a very quiet and quiet location. Very large for two people but also for four having two bedrooms. Check-in is online and there is therefore the convenience of arriving at any time. If you plan to arrive at night, I recommend carefully watching the film that will be sent to you to make it easier to find the place. Parking is super convenient within walking distance of the house. Apartment complete with everything you need : the heating is by means of a pellet stove: it takes a minimum of praricity to turn on! The double bed is a little stiff for my tastes but it depends on the taste. A very welcome note is the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. Overall recommended for visiting the area!
