Vacation rentals with a patio in Praia Formosa

We had a very pleasant stay at the place. The communication with the host was excellent, and the instructions to get to the apartment were top-notch. The host also arranged for us a pickup from the airport. My wife and I were mainly active outside during the day (hiking, tours, etc.), and the place was more than enough for what we needed. Even though the place is a bit away from the centre in the labyrinth of the streets, Taxi drivers and jeep tour guides had no problem finding the place. The place was peaceful, and the terrace is a very nice addition. To get to the centre, we always walked downhill (about 30 minutes). To get back we we're taking taxis (about 10€ with the taxiin app). The proximity of a store is an extremely good addition, where we bought things for sandwiches, cooking a soup, vegetables etc. The best time to go to the store is about 1 or 2 hours after it opens, as more fresh vegetables, fruits, and baked goods are delivered a bit after the store opens.

Super host - very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Great location to explore on foot and by car. Parking no issue, and easy drive to airport. Apartment was tremendous. Balconies allowed us to have breakfast in the sun outside admiring the views. Walk into town about 15 mins down hill - not too strenuous. Lots of Ubers that were inexpensive, so easy to get about. We had x4 full days in Madeira which were full of activities. Palace Gardens and Levarda walks were excellent. Truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

We were welcomed immediately very friendly by Connie, who gave us great tips for the restaurants in the neighborhood and some fresh vegetables from the garden. Connie and Johnny are always available for any questions, yet you have total privacy. The view is amazing, day and night. All furniture is from the highest quality, fully equipped kitchen, a perfect bed and an awesome bath. Worth every cent, just book it and you will have a dream vacation!

We will be talking about the wonderful stay we had at Filip and Renata’s place for a long time to come. The space is perfect for a couple or small family. The bedrooms and bathroom are spacious, the kitchen is exceptionally well stocked (there’s even Tupperware so you can pack sandwiches for a hike), and the outside space is comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Now I know why many other reviewers wished they had stayed in this location for the whole of their Madeira travels! The location is excellent for exploring the island and returning home at night is easy, especially with a dedicated parking space. What really makes this place shine are the hosts, especially Filip who offered many suggestions and treated us to fresh bread and other goodies. He was so warm and kindhearted. This is a gem of a property; do not hesitate to book!

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!

What a wonderful place to stay. The balcony is just amazing and is the perfect spot for a glass of wine after a day of exploring Madeira. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie. Even down to the coffee machine not working on arrival and a replacement landing with us within an hour, which was beyond all expectations! The apartment was spotlessly clean, with everything we could possibly have needed! 🙂

It was the most beautiful accommodation I’ve had since using Airbnb. Everything is spotless and clean, you feel like you’re the first person ever to stay there. The apartment has everything you need, and the products are high quality. Someone put a lot of love into this place, and you can really feel it. Highly recommended!

We just finished 2 magical days at Patricia’s home and cannot say enough incredible things of her place. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL, with an amazing pool and jaw dropping views. In addition to this she was so accommodating to us and made sure we were comfortable the entire time!!! Uber’s and Bolt’s are easy to call and extremely affordable. We did not want to leave and are already planning our next trip to her home!!

If you’re looking for a quiet coastal cottage in Madeira this place is perfect. The view is beautiful with restaurants right around the corner. You’re steps away from the beach and beautiful hiking trails. The house is small but well kept and was very comfortable for two guests

Lovely location to stay in Funchal if you have a car! The place was clean and spacious with housekeeping available on weekdays. The free parking outside the home was very convenient. The host Antonia was responsive and friendly. Her check in instructions were clear. We had an overall amazing stay!

We had a great time at Susana's place. The accommodation is great, the view is magnificent, and it's very well located for visiting the 4 corners of the island. Quiet while being close to Funchal. Parking is a must. Communication with Susana was very smooth and pleasant, we also had the opportunity to meet her husband several times during our stay who was very friendly and gave us good advice in addition to a warm welcome. Thanks for the fruit, which was excellent! We would 100% recommend this listing!

We really enjoyed our holidays in Madeira and especially the apartment in Campanàrio. The apartment is cozy, newly renovated and equipped with everything you need. With a rental car, the location outside the capital is not a problem and you feel welcome in the village, in the bakery and in the shops. Luis is a perfect host, has an answer to all concerns and is still not intrusive. We highly recommend the place for a couple.

Carla was a wonderful host! She provided detailed instructions, was responsive to our questions, and the apartment was very well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could need! Enjoying coffee on the deck, overlooking the water, was an unforgettable experience.

This was a lovely place! Private, clean and surrounded by cute banana farms. The place was even better than the photos! Very clean and the host was there to help us out with whatever we needed. You can’t beat the views from all angles of the property! Only downside is that it’s up a mountain and it takes a while to get to Funchal for food. However, not a problem because there was Uber and Bolt available all the time. I LOVED staying here and will recommend to anyone going to Madeira. If you have a car, there was always parking available. The pool was also a bonus! Thank you Daniela!! :)

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

The accommodation is very well located close to the shops. Accommodation that matches the photos and very clean. Clara is very nice, she is responsive. Communication was fluid.

Great location and views. Plane and street noise did not disturb us as we kept bedroom windows closed. Everything you need to cook. WiFi can be a little spotty. I would stay there again.

The apartment was is a quiet neighborhood and the view was exceptional. The communication with Vasco was easy and quick.

Gorgeous spacious apartment walkable to everything in downtown Funchal - restaurants, shopping the water, musicians in the restaurant area were so fun! (Not near the house). All of Funchal seems to have some construction especially behind this building but I suspect u can’t escape that anywhere in Funchal. Otherwise it was a fantastic apartment and would definitely rent there again. Hosts were wonderful
