Explore the Historic City from an Extravagant Apartment

ChristineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This house and its interior design are as amazing as the pictures suggest. It is well-located, just a five-minute walk to the riverside and close to many tram stations. The bedding was extremely comfortable. Tomas was very responsive to our inquiries about the lighting. There were a few minor issues, such as flooding in the bathroom after showers and the inability to open the windows in the evening for fresh air due to the smokers seated outside at the restaurant. Overall, we loved the house and enjoyed our stay here. I recommend it to couples looking to stay in Prague.

Beautiful stay in the heart of Prague! The place is very walkable to all the main attractions, and easily accessible to some of the farther out to-do's by foot or the tram. Having a washer, microwave and fridge was perfect for us since we stayed several nights; we loved the hammock too :)

Lovely Apartment Heart in Old Town

LizRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Great apartment in a beautiful area, just about 7 mins walk from old town square. It was right in the heart of the lovely Jewish quarter, just across from the Jewish cemetery and the synagogues were close by. Close to all the tourist attractions - you can walk to most of them. Hana was a great host as she waited for us to arrive and showed us where to go by map and recommended what restaurants and cafes to eat in. The apartment was perfect for 4 people. 3 bedrooms and plenty of living space. Thanks Hana.

Sophisticated Apt, Parking, in the Heart of Prague

BrianRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We loved our stay in Prague. We came for the Bruce Springsteen concert and this location was great all around. I think all reviews here are accurate. Magnus is amazingly responsive so even the smallest issues were dealt with quickly. They have a number of apartments in Prague so his staff does a great job of managing many locations. The parking as a huge plus and air conditioning was a bonus. Having done 4 loads of laundry there I would add it works very well. The place is large and beds are comfortable. This is a wonderful place to stay. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Newly Renovated Apartment in the Heart of Prague

TaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely apartment! I give this my highest recommendation!!!! Jana’s apartment is so clean and comfortable, with modern appliances. The location is excellent, it’s a safe neighborhood, in a peaceful area of Prague 1 but close to all the major sights, we walked everywhere. Jana’s mother in law, Lilka, met us and gave a very warm welcome and some very good tips for things to do. They are generous and gracious hosts, leaving a basket of fruit and snacks as well as milk in the refrigerator. We loved our stay in beautiful Prague and when we return I would definitely stay here again. This place is a gem!

Taekwoo kindly proposed a 10% refund which wasn't expected. The appartment was very clean, spacious. The location is amazing near the Charles Bridge. The check-in and check out were very clear. It's the perfect place to stay in Prague!

This apartment is adorable! The high, painted ceilings. The furniture. Everything! Would highly recommend this place. There is no elevator, so pack lightly. It’s close to everything. It does have 2 A/C units, a washing machine, and a full kitchen. Definitely stay here if you get the chance.

Your guide to Prague

All About Prague

With the picturesque Vltava River running through its heart and Prague Castle overlooking its architecturally significant buildings, bridges, and expansive town square, Prague is one of Europe’s most distinctive cities. Although it is known as “the city of a hundred spires,” almost a thousand towers and spires actually rise from the spectacular mix of Baroque, Gothic, and Renaissance buildings in Czechia’s capital.

A wander through Old Town Square will pass the Gothic Church of Our Lady Before Týn and the medieval Astronomical Clock, along with an array of open-air cafes and restaurants. You can walk up to the imposing Prague Castle, where the Schwarzenberg Palace showcases Renaissance architecture at its best, and head across the medieval Charles Bridge, where you’ll find 30 striking Baroque statues of the saints as well as dramatic views of the city.

Prague is also famous for producing some of the world’s finest beers, and the city is full of pubs and beer gardens where you can sample local pilsners and enjoy popular Czech snacks like nakládaný hermelín — pickled cheese served with bread.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Prague

Summer is a great time to stay at a vacation rental in Prague. From June through August, you can expect comfortably hot and sunny days, but the nights can be cooler, and Prague’s weather can be changeable, so it’s a good idea to pack a jacket with your sunscreen. In spring, the weather is mostly mild, and Prague comes to life with major events like the Prague Food Festival in April and the Czech Beer Festival in May, where you can try hundreds of beers accompanied by live music. In the fall, cooler temperatures prevail. The temperatures drop below freezing and generally stay there in December and January, and snow collects on the rooftops, making winter a magical time to wander around town. Like most of Central Europe, Prague can get bitterly cold, so bring a windproof coat as well as a scarf, gloves, and a warm hat. The famous Christmas markets in Old Town Square start at the end of November and run until January.

Top things to do in Prague

Prague Castle

Overlooking the city, Prague Castle sits inside the largest castle complex in the world. Built in the ninth century, the castle is surrounded by the gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, defense towers, museums, the Presidential Palace, and Golden Lane — a street full of colorful houses where the castle guards once lived and which today are filled with souvenir shops and exhibitions. The Daliborka Tower, the castle’s prison until the late 18th century, was named after its first prisoner.

Astronomical Clock

In Old Town Square, you’ll find the oldest clock of its kind still operating. Built in 1410, this remarkable clock not only tells the time, it also shows the months and the astronomical position of the sun and moon. It’s ornately decorated with Gothic sculptures and wooden statues of the 12 apostles, and if you’re there on the hour, you’ll see the apostles put on a show.

Petřín Lookout Tower

The Petřín Lookout Tower is one of Prague’s most striking landmarks. Built in 1891 for the city’s Jubilee Exhibition, it was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and, when you see it, you’ll notice that it’s even the same height. Once you climb the 299 steps to the top, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the city.
