Thanks so much for an amazing stay Kaye. The guesthouse was immaculate, spacious and very well setup with everything you need. We really appreciated your kindness and little details like fresh fruit and breakfast supplies. It was a perfect home away from home.

The best Airbnb we have stayed in. Spectacular views and location. The tent was clean, warm, and beautifully designed. Emily and family were thoughtful host. Highly recommend!!!
The interior features plywood walls and large windows allowing natural light to fill the space. A cozy red armchair is positioned next to a wooden cabinet that holds kitchen essentials. Decorative bunting hangs along the ceiling, adding a touch of charm to the room.

HuHu Chalet - Waitomo Caves

Certainly a one of a kind accommodation option. It’s a bit tight inside but overall perfectly good for a couple of nights. Just be aware that it is on the road and next door to the holiday park, so it was a little noisy at night and in the morning (dogs barking), and the carpark out front of the living room for the cafe kept having people pull in even though the cafe was closed.

Fiadh Cabin - Off Grid Paradise

5/5 recommended! My partner and I had a wonderful one-night stay in Jamie’s cabin. Very clean and well designed, a NZ-typical view, a friendly dog that greeted us and very welcoming hosts made the experience unforgettable. Just consider that the cabin itself only has a kitchenette. For the usage of the kitchen mentioned in the description, you‘d need to use Jamie‘s kitchen in the house next door (which was directly offered to us).

We had such a great stay at Georgia’s tiny house! It has an awesome view to the bay and it is very spotless, clean with comfortable bed! Georgia is a great host, she is very responsive and great communicator. This place is very special and it is worth staying! We’ll be back again!

Aramatai Gardens

We stayed a night in Jill’s cottage to break up a long drive, and it was the perfect spot. We stocked up on dinner ingredients at the supermarket in Te Kuiti, and a short drive later we were settling in to the cottage. It’s peaceful, private, very comfortable and so thoughtfully furnished that it was a pleasure to cook and relax in. The next morning we had an awesome breakfast with Jill’s provisions and a lovely time on the property before getting back in the car to finish the drive. We loved the giant pig, the cute calves, the beautiful gardens and the walk to the waterfall. This will be our go-to now for the best mid-way down the island stopover!
