Bertha met us at the entrance even though our bus was very late. She also called a mototaxi for one of our excursions. We enjoyed her dogs, and her well-supplied kitchen. She made sure we had plenty of potable water. After the first night we learned how to attract the night bugs to the bathroom by leaving only the bathroom light on. Be sure not to miss Ashpachaca right next door!

An attic space features a gently sloped wooden ceiling and a large window allowing natural light. A spacious bed is covered with a white bedspread, and candles are arranged neatly along the wooden floor, creating a soft, ambient glow in the warm setting.

La Chocita is a magical place that is definitely worth visiting. It is perfect to rest after taking the Gocta hike and continuing to enjoy the wonderful view and energy of Cocachimba. My stay was very enjoyable. Thank you for everything!!

A wonderful place to stay, with views of the waterfall from the terrace. A very accommodating and flexible host, I very much recommend a stay in this little corner of paradise. The local town has a cafe, a small shop with a few fresh produce, there’s also a couple of restaurants. If you plan to stay for longer than a few days, I would stock up on fresh produced unless you have a car/motorbike to access bigger shops further away.

The place is very nice, clean and beautiful view. Santiago is always helpful and the most beautiful thing is that his father Telésforo (first guide) along with the German Stephano were the discoverers of the waterfalls, which is why he has many fascinating stories that he is willing to tell all the guests. It was an amazing time, super recommended.

Wonderful place, best view of Gocta waterfall from the bed, surrounded by a beautiful garden. Breakfast and supper were delicious. Very comfortable and staff is friendly indeed.
