Vacation rentals with beach access in Polače

Wir waren eine Woche im Juni in Antuns Apartment. Das Wetter war angenehm warm, nicht zu heiß, und die Stadt war nicht so überfüllt wie in der Hochsaison im Juli und August. Sehr gute Lage – direkt in der ersten Reihe zum Meer. Das Apartment ist schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet, mit allem, was man braucht. Vom Balkon hat man einen herrlichen Blick aufs Meer, so weit das Auge reicht. Sehr ruhige Gegend, keine Bars oder Restaurants in direkter Nähe – einfach traumhaft ruhig. Zum Strand sind es ca. 10 Gehminuten, und zur Bushaltestelle etwa 7 bis 8 Minuten. Sehr freundlicher Kontakt mit dem Vermieter, der immer schnell auf Nachrichten antwortet. Wir würden das Apartment jederzeit wieder buchen. Dubrovnik ist jede Minute wert – einfach wunderschön!

Everything was pretty much perfect except for the LOTS of stairs to pull our luggage up from the street. But we had excellent Croatian helpers who were strangers that saw us struggling and just jumped in and helped us. The location could not have been better and Boris helped us with cabs and directions. 1000% recommend!

We cannot say enough positive things about the host Luksa and the apartment. He was fantastic from the initial contact to when we checked out. Warm, welcoming, and always available. He arranged a lovely driver, Srjdan, to pick us up at the airport; we called upon him several times to drive us. The apartment was spotless, tastefully furnished, well stocked, and in the perfect location - just above Old Town to be out of the crowd, but close enough to walk. The apartment size is very European and was perfect for the 2 of us, meaning if you are looking for a huge modern hotel space, stay in Texas. The views from the balcony were magical, and because of that, we spent more time there than anticipated. We fell in love with Dubrovnik and will certainly always stay with Luksa in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Jelsa – the accommodation was exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. It is peacefully and idyllically located, yet just a 5-minute walk from the center of Jelsa, making it the perfect base for exploring the town and the island of Hvar. Our host Benko was absolutely fantastic – very friendly, helpful, and always available whenever we had questions or needed recommendations. You can tell right away that he genuinely cares about the well-being of his guests. The accommodation itself was clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped, with everything you need. We felt very comfortable and welcome, and truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We would come back anytime and can highly recommend staying with Benko!

Mira was a terrific host with great communication throughout our stay. We absolutely loved her place – it was perfect!

We had a very enjoyable stay in Hvar at Mireja’s fantastic apartment. The space is clean, modern and has every amenity required for a visitor and was very comfortable, we felt right at home. Surrounded by beautiful plants and a lovely garden, it was quiet and peaceful. Mireja was a very kind and helpful host. The location is great, just 5 minutes to swimming spots and the old town centre. There are an abundance of bars and restaurants in the area, and supermarkets nearby. We enjoyed Hvar Brewing Co ( 2 mins walk) for their amazing salads and burgers and also Carpe Diem (5 mins walk) for their fab and well priced breakfasts! We hope to Hvar again soon! 😀 Thank you Mireja

Vi nød opholdet hos familien, og fortrød vi ikke havde booket flere dage, for der var hyggeligt i lejligheden, og masser af oplevelser indenfor køreafstand. Lejlighedens terrasse havde en pragtfuld udsigt over havet, så der nød vi vores måltider. På andendagen, da vi kom hjem om aftenen, slap vores hund ud af døren uden at vi havde set det - den havde opdaget en kat og løb efter den, også selvom katten forsvandt op af en udvendig trappe og op på taget, så pludselig var vores hund landet på taget uden at kunne komme ned igen. Værtinden hjalp med at lede, og heldigvis opdagede hun hvor den var, så jeg kunne komme op og redde den ned :-) Vi kommer med glæde igen en anden gang.

Lovely apartment right by the waterside. Comfortable apartment with all you need and with a lovely terrace with sea views. Standout feature is the private swimming jetty - wonderful for a swim after a day out but also a great place to just sit and watch the boats. We didn’t have a car, the Old Town and restaurants are about a 15 minute walk around the coast though with lovely views along the way. There is a small shop about 5 mins walk away but bigger stores near the Old Town. Kristina welcomed us with homemade cake and liqueur and also brought us homemade biscuits a few days later. Kristina is very friendly and lives upstairs with her mother so always on hand if you need anything. This is a great place to stay.

The villa is compact but perfectly formed. It had everything we needed. The outside space is fantastic and we spent most of our time outside when at the villa. I was aware of the small public beach just to the side of the villa from previous reviews but it didn't trouble us as it wasn't very busy. Definitely take beach shoes as there are sea urchins, thankfully we did. 😊. Sobra is a great base for the island. Central location means you can visit Pomena/Polace one day and then visit Saplunara another day. Glad we had a car as definitely needed to get the most out of the island. Would highly recommend the e-bikes in the National Park. We were greeted by Ana's mum who was super friendly and very helpful. Ana was very helpful and reached out via text a couple of times to make sure we were OK. The use of the kayak was brill. Our son loved that.

We loved our stay at Dino’s place. Lumbarda is an excellent town for a relaxing holiday, especially with small children. And this place is right next to great food options amazing swimming spots and wineries. Dino’s parents who live in the house behind were so helpful and friendly during our stay. They brought a high chair around for us, as well as home grown fruit and some cake. And often stopped to chat. Both Dino and his parents gave great recommendations for eating and other activities and helped us figure out how to get to our next spot.

Een volle week verbleven in het appartement! Een erg fijne plek om het onderste deel van Kroatië te verkennen. Strand op loopafstand. Fijne plek om de auto te parkeren. Heerlijk koel en schoon appartement met een fantastisch uitzicht! Ik wil weer terug!

My wife and I stayed here with parents and family for the first time and we will be back for sure. The house is really unique, beach is basicly in front of house. Everything is so peacfull and place is brand new . Hosts were very welcoming , provided everything we needed !

Ina et Vlado nous attendaient sur place et nous ont très bien accueillis. Après la descente des escaliers, nous avons découvert leur maison et sa vue imprenable : magnifique !!! Nous avons été conquis tous les 4. Nous avons pu profiter d'un bel espace extérieur très bien équipé et entouré de végétation. En longeant les buissons de romarin, on accède à la petite page privée : de magnifiques couchers de soleil en perspective ... Des produits de premières nécessité avaient été mis à notre disposition. Ina et Vlado ont répondu à nos questions à tout moment et nous les remercions pour leurs attentions. Nous y reviendrons volontiers et recommandons vivement un séjour dans leur maison.

We stayed for 4 nights with our family, children age 4 & 2. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and explore Dubrovnik. The apartment is perfectly located just steps from the old town / city walls, for a short trip this was ideal. Everything is on your doorstep, you can walk everywhere. The house is beautiful and Ivona has done a wonderful job of designing it. It was so well equipped with everything you needed. Michael welcomed us and even arranged our transfer from the airport. They had left us a selection of snacks including bread, milk, jams, coffee pods, wine, beer which was great. The swimming pool area is a bonus and we enjoyed an afternoon swimming and enjoying the views. The whole complex is spotless and so well maintained. I was a little apprehensive as of whether the children would enjoy Dubrovnik, however they loved it and I would recommend. We hope to return one day and if you are considering booking, book early, you will not disappointed. Thank you!

The place was clean, well located & a respite from the hot, humid weather. Be prepared to climb a LOT of stairs, but this is true throughout Dubrovnik. Loved the garden & terrace… an escape inside the busy city walls!

We were looked after by Dina's cousin Antea, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view down to the harbour from the living room window and outside seating area was lovely. It was a five minute walk down to the harbour with its selection of restaurants and a supermarket - a few more minutes walking back up because you have a slope to climb, but that should not deter anyone who is averagely fit. We took a water taxi from Lumbarda harbour right to the edge of pedestrianised Korcula Old Town, which cost 15 euros return and ran every 30 minutes. This was nicer than going by road and not too unreasonable considering that parking anywhere near the town costs 5 euros an hour. The Old Town is beautiful and a more relaxing, less touristy and so more atmospheric version of Dubrovnik with lots of nice art studios.

We loved the apartment. The view was spectacular, and the two sets of open doors on either end of the balcony gave the unit a very nice indoor-outdoor feel even when inside. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was very functional, we even spent a night in cooking. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Dubrovnik, as long as you don’t mind a bit of a climb up from old town. Not a long walk in and out of old town, only about 10 minutes, but lots of steps. But for us, the ability to get out of town into a quiet neighbourhood plus the view made it worth it. I can’t stress how amazing the view is from the balcony (photos don’t do it justice). Also, the owners dad greeted us at check in and he was so sweet and helpful during our stay!

Maya, her son, and father are amazing!!! Very friendly and accommodating. We spent the most time here during our 2 week Euro trip. Fantastic views from the balcony and a great place to relax with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. Right on the water with a great walk down to the shore where you can jump right into the sea! Space was modern, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was SO nice. By far the nicest bathroom of anywhere we stayed. Maya's father took us out on his boat with his beagle. It was amazing. He knew the best spots, shared cool information/stories. It was a very authentic/non touristy experience. Maya let us borrow snorkel gear and that was beyond awesome because we snorkeled in the sea by the house but also on our boat trip which was truly special. She also provided homemade olive oil which was divine. WONDERFUL experience and stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Ivo’s apartment in Lumbarda. The location is perfect and the photos struggle to capture the beauty of view you get from the front terrace (there are two terraces!). Nothing separates you from the sea apart from the local road to the centre of town. There are a couple of very small sandy beaches in the town but 15 minutes walk to a beautiful large sandy beach. If you have a car we recommend Pupnatska Luka as our favourite beach - windy small road to get there but its worth it! Ivo and his wife were perfect hosts - lovely to deal with and very helpful. The apartment is bright open and spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would love to come back in the future.

Exceptional Experience with Ivana! Beautiful place! We can't say enough good things about our stay with Ivana in old Town, Croatia! After our original Airbnb turned out to be dirty and not as advertised, we were fortunate to find Ivana. We stayed at her location for four nights, and she went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Ivana’s Airbnb was very well decorated, clean & cute, creating a lovely atmosphere for our time there. It was also perfectly located near tons of restaurants and shops, making everything very walkable and convenient. Ivana greeted us with homemade lemonade and limoncello, which set the tone for our stay. She even helped us find and walked us over to meet our next Airbnb host, ensuring a seamless transition (bc hers was previously booked over the next ten days!). She went above and beyond. We are so grateful for everything Ivana did for us and highly recommend staying at her condo if you're looking for a wonderful host in Croatia! Thank you so much!

We have never stayed any where better!! And I like to think I’ve traveled a lot lol Outside the million steps to get there.. which was a funny story / adventure in and of itself… this place was PHENOMENAL. And the view made the steps a million times worth it. Irena was beyond helpful/responsive and gave MANY recommendations. Someone commented “you’re staying here!?” As we were opening the door to the apartment… it is that special of a spot. The hot water was also an adventure to figure out but once we got it, we understood what we needed to do. A quirk of staying in an old city! Worth it. Everything was amazing. We would love to come back again!
