Patio, yard, parking and entry door, all private and separate. Gated security. Sheep and Tortoises live here. Welcome to visit them. I can provide treats to feed.

The Hatchery at Heather Hill

The "Hatchery" is a bright and cheery cottage nestled in the Sierra foothills. Our guest house is attached to our main residence, on a 10.9 acre parcel, down a private road. We are here if you need us, but respect your privacy if not! We are 12 miles from Placerville, 7 miles from Apple Hill and close to local wineries. For winter fun, we are 43 miles (drive time 1 hour) from Sierra at Tahoe. Please note: We are NOT close to the freeway, and there are several windy roads in and out of our area.

You'll enjoy a quiet and peaceful setting among tall pines, with wildlife abound. Amador County is rich in gold mining history, and has many charming gold rush towns for you to visit. If your travel journeys include both Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, we are conveniently located between the two ( 2 1/2 hours from Yosemite, and 1 and 1/2 from Tahoe)
