Charming, Cozy Casita with Pool - low summer rates

Step inside the adobe casita, where cool terra cotta tiles and Southwestern decor create a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. During the hot months, get refreshed with a dip into a turquoise pool. In the cooler months, enjoy the very best of Tucson, and come back to the modern desert outdoor spaces to relax- catch rays under a deep blue Arizona sun or find a hammock in the shade. The Casita offers you a thoughtfully designed but laid back space convenient for exploring Tucson, with vintage southwest and mid century style. *Newly improved high speed WiFi 11/1/2021 Our casita is a stand alone guest house that has it's own parking and entrance and enjoys total privacy from the 1930's Spanish Colonial house and pool house on the property. The modern take on South West decor is right at home in this sweet historic property, embracing our desert city's personality. A full kitchen with fridge, oven, gas range, has all you need to cook, and the bathroom is fully stocked with bath towels, soaps, and hairdryer. There is a comfortable queen sized bed and sitting chair in each bedroom. The simple living area has a small sofa, armchair, and a table and chairs for eating. For your use there is WiFi and TV with access to streaming services. Guests have exclusive use of the casita and the casita’s walled desert landscapes yard with table, seating, and fire pit. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the pool, grill, and other outdoor spaces that are shared with the main house and pool house on the property. The pool is not heated, and so is best enjoyed late April - October. Guests are free to use the pool at any time of year, but when the night time temperatures are still cool, expect that the water will also be cool accordingly! My family and I live in the main house on the property, and so are easily accessible by text or in person for any needs or to give tips on enjoying Tucson. Outside of being available and helpful, we will try to stay out of your way and the homes do not overlook one another. In the shared pool, laundry, and central courtyard on the property, you may cross paths with my family or the guests staying in the pool house (when occupied). I provide treats and good local coffee for your enjoyment. I will try to accommodate your needs and can provide things such as a twin mattress or small kitchen appliances. If you need something you don't see- don't hesitate to ask! The casita shares the property with the host family's home, and a pool house also available on Air BNB. Casita guests have their own private yard and seating area, but also can enjoy the shared spaces on the property- A beautiful pool and courtyard. The casita is on a quiet street in Jefferson Park, a classic midtown neighborhood on the National Historic Register. Walk to the streetcar at the close-by University hospital that takes you through the University District, 4th Ave, and downtown. A car is best for exploring all parts of the city and surrounding areas- a trip up Mount Lemmon or through Gates Pass should not be missed! Tucson is fairly sprawling and parking is not a problem. The street car is accessible by foot (taking you through the uUniversity District, 4th Ave, downtown, the Convention Center and on to the Mercado). If you bring your bike, the neighborhood runs into the Mountain Ave bike path, a good central point to access Tucson by bike. There is a bus stop for Suntran around the corner on Campbell Ave. Because of our proximity to the hospital, there are occasional sirens/helicopter landings that can be heard in the distance from outside or if windows are open. The pool is not heated, and so is best enjoyed late April - October. Guests are free to use the pool at any time of year, but when the night time temperatures are still cool, expect that the water will also be cool accordingly! We also have another listing for our pool house.
