Tranquil Farm - Secluded Woodland Eco Cabin

The wooden shingled cabin is totally off the grid. To reach the cabin is a short walk up through a small wood on a narrow winding path from the parking area. Built on stilts the cabin over looks farmland and woods with a long view down the valley to the hills of English Harbour. The cabin has a large bedroom with wooden four poster bed with mosquito net. Barn doors open onto a side balcony, an open air bathroom with rain water shower heated by solar and a full kitchen. Wonderful night skies.

The apartment is 10 minutes from the airport, downtown St. Johns, and the beach, so it is very well located. The apartment has its own entrance so you have privacy. We had a lovely stay at Galleon Beach! The location is secluded enough that you can really slow down and relax, while close enough to English Harbour if you feel inclined to go out for dinner or find a cozy dockside bar. Feel like staying in? The Loose Cannon restaurant is also steps from the front door and the cottage has a small kitchen as well. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of rum punch - such a nice touch! The room was comfortable and clean. The reception staff (Talia and Jewel) were very helpful in offering restaurant and excursion recommendations as well. The unit is also a short walk from amazing hiking trails leading up to Shirley Heights and the Southernmost Point of Antigua and Barbuda, with the stunning Hercules Pillars right around the corner.

Jamie was fantastic! Bit difficult to find if renting a car, but everyone is super friendly and happy to help out. Would definitely recommend renting a car for the area and to get around. We booked the shipping container but Jamie kindly upgraded us for free to the apartment instead! Seamless check in and check out. We had the best time! Thank you so much 🤍

A clean, comfy unit in a calm neighbourhood near Gray’s Farm Main Road, hosted by a warm mother–daughter duo—Blondie and co-host Miss Quin. It’s about a 27–32 minute walk to the centre of St. John’s (V.C. Bird Monument or the Antigua Cruise Port). Alternatively, you can take a bus from the West Bus Terminal (Hatton route) and get off at Gray’s Farm Road, which is a short walk to the house. There are local eateries nearby, and I especially loved Cree’s Crazy Citchen—just a 15-minute walk away, with very delicious food and a lovely view. Miss Quin can help organise excursions around the island. She works full-time but, when free, she’s open to spending time with guests—she even invited me out for a fun karaoke night. Her warmth, energy, and hospitality truly made my stay extra special.

This was our second visit to this home - it was as magical as the first. The house and view are stunning, proximity to Jolly Beach and Jolly Harbor mean everything you need is nearby. Susan took care of everything we needed prior to arrival and we had an amazing several days. Drinking coffee each morning we'd get fly-bys of tarpon, barracuda, eagle rays, sting rays, and a zillion other things in the crystal clear water. Could watch that all day long. Note: the listing is pretty clear on this, but it is a pretty good hike up and down the path to get from the road to and from the house - make sure you're good with that. But if you're on the fence, just book and have as much fun as we did.
