Outstanding. From instructions and welcome provisions to a large immaculate 2 bed apartment with two sided balcony and great views. The large gardens create a tranquil space. Thoroughly recommended.

Our stay at Hilroy’s place was a truly unique and enjoyable experience. The listing is exactly as described—it’s a one-of-a-kind retreat that allows you to fully disconnect from the outside world in a peaceful, secluded setting. Despite its remote location, it’s still just a 25-minute drive from the capital, offering the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience. Hilroy was a great host—very responsive and accommodating, even when we encountered some travel delays. While the drive up is a bit challenging at first and requires a 10-15 minute walk on the trail to reach the property, this only added to the adventure for us. We found the entire experience thoroughly rewarding.

Wes is hands down the best host I’ve ever encountered. He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. He truly knows how to conduct business and treats customers with the utmost respect. His communication was always prompt and responsive—even before we arrived in Dominica. He even provided us with tips and tricks that had nothing to do with his services but still took the time to help us. For the record, I’m not paid to say this, nor am I his friend or family member, but when someone does a great job, they deserve their flowers. Wes was one of the main reasons I enjoyed my stay in Dominica, and I would absolutely recommend him!

There aren’t enough words to describe how special this experience was. Even with my delayed arrival, Trudy and Rudolf greeted me at the gate with open arms and made me feel instantly at home. Trudy stayed in touch throughout my visit, always making sure I had everything I needed. Her care and thoughtfulness made all the difference. The gardeners were kind, and every encounter on the property felt warm and genuine. Trudy, Rudolf, and Lieuwkje were the most wonderful hosts—they even took me on a series of beautiful garden tours. The home was even more stunning in person. Each morning, I enjoyed my coffee while watching hummingbirds flutter by. I saw countless rainbows from the balcony, and even the rain added to the magic—each day felt more peaceful than the last. It was hard to say goodbye, and I’m already looking forward to returning. Thank you, Trudy, Lieuwkje, and Rudolf, for making my stay unforgettable. I miss you already and can’t wait to come back.

Deb was a wonderful host ~ her daughter met us at check in ~ Deb was easily available by phone ~ we found the Airbnb a day prior as the bright blue and white was easily identifiable but might be confusing in the dark~ views are incredible and just like in photos ~ house is hot in the afternoon so we just planned to be out then ~ some mosquitoes in the area and not a lot of screens so bring bug spray if u need it ~ eat at Time/on Time or Teachers in Soufriere

Without hesitation!! Shurmon's Tiny House is a peaceful haven. Although the classification of "superhost" is not mentioned, it is well represented. The accommodation is very well equipped and if anything is missing: just ask. Shurmon is attentive and will try to resolve your request as best as possible. Very responsive. A special note for the fresh fruit basket and this magnificent garden of aromatic, medicinal plants and fruit trees. 5/5 * - exceptional exotic setting. We'll be there again.

My family had a wonderful stay here and we hope to stay at this airbnb again. The gardens are amazingly manucured and the fresh fruit and veg from the gardens were delicious. We felt like we were in a botanical garden having a private retreat. We walked around the gardens every day looking at all the flowers, orchids and fruit trees. We were treated to rainbows nearly every morning while we had breakfast on the balcony. The views are amazing. You can see over the valley and see the big clouds get pushed over the volcanoes. The full kitchen is great for preparing fish from the local market. Kelvin met us in town and guided us to the airbnb. The road up to Eggleston is windy but no harder than any other roads on the island. Just drive carefully and use your horn. It took us about 10min to drive down the hill and another 5 to get into town. It's about 30min to Trafalgar or the hot springs. Kelvin is easy to reach and even helped us arrange for a taxi to the airport.

Johnathan and Gilly were exceptional hosts; super friendly and welcoming. Gilly greeted us with a handwritten welcome card and was flexible with check-in/check-out. The house itself is stunningly clean, well-kept, and the kitchen is fully functional and equipped with everything you could possibly need— I especially appreciated the standing mixer! The fridge was generously stocked to help us settle in, including a bottle of wine, local snacks and dry goods. Each bedroom had fresh flowers, linens clean and fresh with TONS of closet and storage space. The bathrooms came with lovely local toiletries. Pool is well-maintained and perfect for evening swims. I appreciated the washer/dryer with laundry pods and the first aid kit which shows the kind of care the hosts put into every detail. The area is super peaceful even with neighbors nearby, very tranquil and private. I’m sad the stay was so short, but I’ll absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Dominica. I will be back.
