From the all-wood exterior and interior, to the log railings in the loft, staircase and covered porch with wrap-around deck, our mission is to give our guests a true Adirondack Experience. Surrounded by nature, secluded and private, yet centrally located to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Rainbow Lake with 25 miles of connecting waterways. You will find a snow shoe trail and cross country skiing on our 10 acres. Outside grill and fire pit. With our tankless water system you will have an endless supply of hot water to enjoy! Even though we are tucked off the beaten trail we are close to so much adventure! There are multiple trail heads close by, ice skating (pond style or rinks including the Olympic Oval in Lake Placid), Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, Bobsled rides, Toboggan Shoot, Sled Dog rides, Boating, Canoeing, Mountain Beaches, Swimming Holes, White Water Rafting, Hiking, Mountain Biking, and so much more! Because of its size taxis are expensive and an Uber may take some time to reach you. If you're flying in, the nearest airport, SLK, is 15 minutes away.

This Adirondack camp was an absolute blast in an amazing location! The direct access to the lake made our vacation unforgettable, especially with the provided kayaks for exploring the beautiful lake and connecting waterways. Our dogs had the time of their lives running around the spacious yard, and the pizza stone was fantastic for making delicious homemade pizzas to enjoy in the front room while while enjoying the stunning views of the sun setting over the lake. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect lakefront retreat!

This cabin at Rainbow Lake was the perfect place for the quiet retreat my adult son and I needed. Cozy living room with new wood floors; small but perfectly functional and well-stocked kitchen; comfortable beds and pillows; updated bathroom and easy-to-use shower; hot water was very responsive; washing machine/dryer are much more modern than what I have at home (the manual was easy to find!) Our favorite spots were the dining table by the picture window overlooking the lake, and the Adirondack chairs on the dock at lakeside. The cabin is in a secluded cove, and the water was as smooth as glass most of the time. We even saw a loon several times, even though it was late October! There was just a little road noise during "going to/from work" times (can't call it "rush hour"); the rest of the time, just wonderful silence and the whisperings of the pine trees. We didn't use the kayaks, fire pit, or barbecue. Ten-minute drive into Saranac Lake for groceries, etc. We'd love to come back!

We had another great stay at Kate Mountain Farm. This is a beautiful, interesting, and original place to stay located on a working farm. Waking up in the unique upstairs loft bedroom with a view of the sunrise hitting the pine trees never gets old. It is an excellent alternative to staying in Lake Placid or Saranac Lake, with the beauty of the woods and hiking nearby, and easy driving access to all that the high peaks of the Adirondacks have to offer. The place was spotless as usual, with many goodies provided to make your stay a nicer experience. Thank you Aaron!

We loved our stay here! This is a beautiful and very cozy cabin in a peaceful location. We loved being so close to a quiet beach and the rail trail. We rode our bikes all the way to Lake Placid and back from the cabin without needing to drive anywhere first to access the trail. It was right across the street. The hosts were so kind and friendly and we only wish we had even more time to get to know them. A beautiful, clean, peaceful place to spend an ADK weekend!

This was our second time at Rich's place. Rich was a great communicator and very responsive. The home is cozy, easy to work in the kitchen, and has a good gas BBQ on the porch (the BBQ could use a cleaning). Two main sleeping areas were perfect for us and the bathroom was all that we needed. A covered campfire area with benches was fantastic (both years we were there), and the proximity to Upper Saranac Lake Marina and the lake could not be better - just a few minutes up the road. I wish the house was not so close to the road as we prefer the sounds of the woods to the sounds of the road, HOWEVER, we were out recreating all day, so that really was not a big deal. Certainly, we would love to return again next summer, as Rich's house feels like our own vacation home! I would recommend this house to a couple or two friends or a small family seeking proximity to the lake for water sports and trails for hiking. Thanks again, Rich. We had a fantastic time!
