We call it the Boathouse, but it could just as easily be called the treehouse. It sits just feet from a tidal creek amidst giant live oak trees. A short dock is right outside the door, so bring your kayaks or other small craft. Although cozy, it offers everything a simple cottage should. Shem Creek is minutes away, as are the beaches. Patriot's Point and the Ravenel Bridge are a short walk away. This is the closest residential neighborhood to Charleston that you will find in Mt Pleasant. 567068

Spacious apartment with high ceilings. The back porch has a fantastic view of Charleston harbor. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, very close to downtown and also to beaches. Private dock, kayaks, bicycles (not fancy) and the possibility, weather and tides permitting, of a motorboat ride around the harbor. Newly remodeled charming guest house! Attached to main house, but with a separate entrance. Biking/walking distance from Shem Creek restaurants and pier. 10 minute drive to Sullivan's Island or downtown Charleston. Great bike location for Ravenel Bridge, Shem Creek, and historic old village Mt Pleasant. Small continental breakfast is provided. Also beach towels and chairs. We are baby friendly and can offer a pack and play, a high chair, and a full size fold up stroller for your use.

Staying in Mt Pleasant was perfect for visiting Charleston. Away from the madding crowds, but still an easy commute. Clean bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, you get it. A good place to stay at the right price. Very quiet area, cute backyard.

We came to attend an event at the very nice Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park Sweetgrass Pavilion which is very nearby this home. We had 3 adults and 1 dog and stayed 1 week. The home is very clean, with newer appliances and large well stocked kitchen. Beds are comfortable with quality pillows and linens. The neighborhood is very quiet and fully fenced backyard was enormous! The location is near many excellent restaurants including the fabulous Grace and Grit! Alex, the host reached out on multiple occasions to make sure we had all we needed. We enjoyed this home and would rent here again.

Coastal Charm: Village Hideaway

Our stay at the Village Hideaway was perfect for our family! We actually live in Mount Pleasant and had water damage in our home and were having major repairs done to our flooring. We chose Christina’s place because of the location and because for a 2 bedroom place it was very spacious. It is a beautiful and cozy house, has great appliances, and it is extremely clean and well maintained. Christina was a great host, always available when needed, and very personable. I fully recommend the Hideaway to anybody who wants to stay in a private house close to the best of Mount Pleasant and a short drive to Charleston!
