Charming converted Hayloft overlooking the Chianti Hills

Inspired by the rustic Tuscan style, this gorgeously refurbished hayloft features ceilings with exposed beams and bricks and thoughtful touches for a stylish and comfortable decor. From the relaxing hammock and the stone made barbecue in a panoramic garden to the cozy fireplace, every space feels open and inviting. Immersed in total peace and tranquillity with a breathtaking view over the Chianti hills, halfway between Florence, Arezzo and Siena, the barn is a perfect homebase to visit Tuscany. The accommodation has 2 floors. The upper floor spaces 2 double bedrooms with wonderful views of the olive trees and a bathroom with window and large masonry shower. On the ground floor a cozy and spacious living area with fireplace and a kitchenette with gas stove a large fridge and oven. The barn has ceilings with exposed beams and bricks. Outside there is a panoramic garden set on its own where, in the shade of a walnut trees, you can relax on a hammock or grill your meal (included an authentic local Fiorentina steak :-) on the stone made barbecue. A garden table is there for romantic dinners 'al fresco'. Immersed in total peace and tranquility halfway between Florence, Arezzo and Siena the barn is a perfect homebase to visit Tuscany. The closest towns are Cavriglia and the small Medioeval villages of Moncioni and Montegonzi. In each town you can find great local restaurants and a small grocery shop. Moncioni is 3 km far away. A big supermarket is located in Montevarchi and you can reach it in 8 minutes by car ( exactly 7 km far away). In Montevarchi you can also find one of the best farmer markets in Tuscany! The station of Montevarchi is 8 km away from the barn. From there you can take train to Florence and Arezzo. Siena can be reached in 30 minutes by car. The easy access to the motorway A1/E35 Milan-Florence-Rome (the Valdarno exit is only at 13 km) allows you to reach numerous interesting spots within a short time, both in Tuscany and Umbria, while few kilometres south of Cavriglia you enter the suggestive territory of the Crete Senesi. Out in the countryside, the home offers an authentic experience of Tuscany. Small towns and villages are a short drive away providing acces to exceptional local restaurants and fantastic farmers markets. A big supermarket is located in Montevarchi (7 km far away). The railway station is 8 km away from the barn. From there you can take train to Florence and Arezzo. Cities of interest like Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza and Monteriggioni can be reached in 40 minutes by car The only way to reach the house is by car. A taxi service is active from Montevarchi You will be provided of blankets and towels. The kitchen is equipped with and kind of pots, pans, bowl, plates and silverware. You are welcome to use them. Yes, it is spectacular for all the reasons mentioned by others. The frescoes in the rooms and loggia are most remarkable, and of great historical significance. There’s a manual on site that details all the history, and additional information can be found online on Wikipedia and elsewhere about the frescoes and the garden. Gian is a most excellent host. Thank you thank you thank you.

Tenuta Barosi is a beautiful location overlooking rural Florence. It is located just 25 minutes outside of Florence and easy to get to. The farmhouse has a number of apartments, and ours was Comiso. Cristina was extremely helpful with our check in, as we arrived very late. It is very easy to self check in. The pool overlooks a small valley with beautiful scenery of farms and vineyards. Highly recommend staying at Tenuta Barosi!

The apartment was the most beautiful Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The minimalist and peaceful interior design, plus the air-conditioning, was a welcome retreat after a day of walking Florence's busy streets. There is lovely view of the Arno River, especially at sunset. You can be on the Ponte Vecchio within seconds. At night, there is live music on the bridge, an unexpected treat. A grocery store and laundry mat are across the bridge. A Florentine paper store under the apartment is great for gifts. We made espresso every morning using the special hand-turned coffee grinder and provided beans. The olive oil from the owner's olive farm was amazing. The beds were large and comfortable with high quality linens. The showers were stunning. Shampoo, conditioner and a pleasantly scented shower gel were provided. Lastly, we could not imagine our trip without Valentin! He helped us with reservations for dinner, car service, massage, taxis and more. Thank you! 10 stars!

Een prachtig huisje dat aanvoelt als een thuis ipv een vakantiewoning. Heel sfeervol, schoon, huiselijk, een hele fijne tuin. Het zitje achter het huis is zelfs op de hele hete dagen een fijne plek om te zijn door de schaduw en het windje wat eronder door waait. De tafelvoetbal tafel en een pingpongtafel zijn leuk om te doen met de kinderen. De grote pizza oven is gemakkelijk te gebruiken en je bakt er de lekkerste pizza ‘s in. De bedden lagen heerlijk. Sommige waren zelfs verstelbaar. In de woonkamer twee fijne grote stoelen met een leeslampje erbij. Er waren ventilatoren aanwezig voor op de slaapkamers tijdens de warme nachten. We kregen hele leuke tips voor dingen om te doen in de omgeving. De eigenaren waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het allermooiste huisje dat wij ooit gehuurd hebben.

What a beautiful styled property to relax and enjoy the Tuscan scenery in a tranquil setting! We stayed in one of the self contained apartments equipped for cooking. An open dining & kitchen area with a floor-ceiling window allowed us to enjoy the breeze; as all windows have mosquito screens. For morning coffee or sunset glass of wine we could adjourn to an outside table and chairs. The immaculate landscaped garden gently slopes down to an infinity pool inviting you to immerse in the cool water or take shade on a garden lounger under surrounding olive trees as you overlook the wonderful country view. With only few occupants we could enjoy the pool exclusively for a time. Cristina has considered everything and a meticulous eye for design and order is evident all around. The beautiful working kitchen and dining area mimic those in interiors magazines and a culinary prowess is apparent if you choose to enjoy Cristina's luxuriant breakfast, which we implore you to experience at least once!

Beautiful farmhouse in the countryside, which is about 40 minutes away from Florence. The inside and outside look just like the photos but this unit is accessible via a flight of stairs and there is no elevator. The breakfast was terrific. The kitchenware could use some refreshing but overall our stay was peaceful and great !
