Remote, Lake View Guest House

Do you need an escape from home? Our quaint one room studio cottage is located in our avocado grove with great beautiful views in the hills of De Luz. It has a king size bed, 3/4 bath, kitchenette with 10 cu ft fridge and stove (but no oven), gas BBQ, dining area and private deck ~ it sleeps up to two people. The cottage has it's own entrance and driveway just past the main drive. As you relax on the deck or from the house you will enjoy the panoramic views and a view of the lake. The cozy cottage is approx. 700 sq ft and is adjacent to our home on the property. We have "natural AC" (i.e. no AC but fans and lots of windows and doors). Also included is satellite TV and Wifi, and a continental breakfast usually consisting of bread for toast, fruits, coffee and tea. The cottage is a great destination for a "get away from it all" retreat, for hikers and for cyclists and motorcyclists that want to enjoy the back country roads and vistas. You will enjoy the gorgeous drive to our cottage with the windy, narrow tree lined roads. The Temecula farmers market is a popular destination on Saturdays, and Temecula has a fabulous selection of wineries for tastings and dining. In Fallbrook, there are a variety of great restaurants, cute shops including a retro candy store,and a popular art gallery as well. We are located close to the Santa Margarita River Trail which is a 6 mile loop trail located near Fallbrook, California that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is used for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. It is accessible year-round. The Santa Rosa Plateau is another fantastic hiking spot, with vernal pools and gorgeous rolling hills and panoramic views. We are located 7.5 miles (15 mins) from Fallbrook and we are 25 minutes from Temecula, and 45 - 50 minutes from Oceanside. In addition, we are also approx 1 hour from Downtown San Diego and the SD airport. Just an FYI, we are 15 minutes from the closest store in Fallbrook, and the roads to get here as mentioned before are windy but lovely. We also have 2 sweet indoor/outdoor kitties that might stop by for a visit but we do not allow them in the guesthouse. Just to note, living in a rural area we share our property with the local critters that pass through such as coyotes, raccoons, etc. In additions to the furry critters, we also have the insect type. We try not to use pesticides so you potentially could see a bug now and again. Note: due to the coronavirus, we are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and at least a 3-day hiatus between stays. Weekly rental possible.

My place is close to the beach, Temecula wine country, and outdoor activities. You’ll love my place because of the serenity, the lush greenery, the privacy, and the amenities. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Due to COVID -19, I have arranged my calendar to allow 24 hours between guests. I also have purchased a ozone machine, which I run between stays. All hard surfaces are wiped down with 70% alcohol, floors steamed cleaned. All Linens washed with bleach.

A tranquil garden pathway is lined with gravel and bordered by colorful desert plants. Benches are placed strategically among the lush greenery, creating inviting spots for relaxation. Sun loungers are visible in a serene area, surrounded by flowering plants and shaded by trees.

The location, with its easy access to I15, great hiking and winery was next to house. Christy was very communicative and easy to work with. The views from the home are beautiful. I highly recommend this Airbnb !

Very beautiful stay away from the city! We were really surprised by the views and how you can stargaze at night. At night, we did see a coyote nearby and a rodent ran by inside its what we expected based on the location and surrounding area. Overall. It was very peaceful and the amenities were also very useful.

I can't say enough how amazing this house was. The view is just breathtaking. The house was super clean, it was very up to date, nice modern decor and fully stocked with all the appliances. I regret staying only one night. We'll be booking this house again for sure in the future. Pablo thank you so much for being so helpful and for being such an amazing host.

You will appreciate not just Carol herself, but also her place. The kitchen has plenty of things you may need from condiments, snacks, plate/utensil opts, extra things in the fridge, opts basically haha. The casita itself is very clean in every room, enough blankets in case you need extra, the bed was comfortable with nice sheets. Bathroom tub was very nice, would've loved to have taken a bath in it, but didnt have time. Bathroom also has extra things on hand; lotion/first aide/shampoo/conditioner/makeup things; esp black towels for makeup/q tips/flossers (this was nice since I work in dental haha). Then to Carol, a wonderful lady, she made my husband and I feel welcome when she greeted us upon arrival, checked in with us to make sure all was well. Our boy, dog Leo, had a good time there as well venturing into their back yard. Great place =)
