Our granny house that was built in 1950's. In the kotomarapak village with view in the back of the house: mmount marapi and rice fields. 15-20 min to get Bukittinggi city by public transportation which pass by in front of the house. To respect our granny, we have to separate unmarried couple in the 2 bedrooms. We know that our honor guest will respect our value.
“Really appreciated the quick response time and tips to see around the local areas from Arina. Her uncle and aunty’s hospitality was really amazing and i really enjoyed the stay there very much. Will definitely come back again and recommend anyone.”
This is an old wooden house which was built back in 1930 and has been passed down for four generations. The house is situated in the centre of Bukittinggi on Panorama Street, with only 5-minute walk to Ngarai Sianok and 10-minute walk to the famous Jam Gadang. Enjoy the country feel of Minang traditions and neighborhood, while being close enough to famous local attractions, culinary, and souvenir shops. We speak Bahasa Indonesia, English and Japanese. “Rumah Nizar is very strategically located. Just minutes away from taman panorama which is one of the access points for the Japanese tunnels. From one of the exists of the Japanese tunnel you can either go up and have a fantastic view of Ngarai Sianok or you can go down and make your way through Janjang Koto Gadang (walkway like great wall of china). The house is very cozy and the weather is very cool so there is no need for aircon. The house is also very clean and has hot water.”
My place is close to great views, two meters from the lake, restaurants and dining, and parks. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the light, the comfy bed, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.
“We were very satisfied with our stay and can only recommend it! The staff and Jack are all very friendly and have great tips to explore the area extensively. The location of the hostel is right on the lake and a bit off the "main street". The song of the mosque is audible, but with Ohropacks also a light sleeper is not awakened! We did not miss anything and we had a great time.”
