Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Ottawa

We rented this airbnb for my in-laws for a 4-day stay over Father's Day weekend. The space was spotless and very spacious. all of the amenities you could ask for were there and there was lots of privacy. easy walk to the beach less than 3 minutes. looking forward to renting it again in a few weeks.

Our stay was truly incredible, best Airbnb we’ve ever been too. There was so much to do around the home with all of the available amenities. It’s very cozy, we felt right at home. The home is super close to local restaurants and grocery stores. It was quite the experience. Scott is an amazing host, we highly recommend staying here. Thank you for making our first trip to Canada a very memorable experience. We hope to visit and stay again sometime in the future.

Angela's place is great for a group getaway, she was helpful and easy to communicate with.

Absolutely stunning setting and a very clean and well appointed rental. Charming vibe and super cozy set up. Amazing master suite and also very comfortable secondary suite. My family all felt “right at home” and we would definitely consider returning on our next visit to the Ottawa area. Jumped in the Ottawa River on May 18th and can attest to the cleanliness of the water and the nice sandy beach! Exceptional place to relax, refresh and recharge! We had an amazing stay here! The place was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The backyard space and hot tub were a great bonus—perfect way to relax. The hosts were very responsive and made everything easy. Thank you so much Alden and Megan!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lisa's place! The spacious layout made us feel right at home. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large fridge, pots, and pans, making it easy to prepare meals. One of the highlights for us was the basement bedroom, which is perfect for those who prefer a cooler environment. Meanwhile, the upstairs bedrooms are great for those who enjoy a warmer atmosphere. The hot tub was another standout feature of our stay, providing the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. The location is fantastic as well; there's a lovely path along the river for walks, and being close to the train station made it easy to visit downtown without the hassle of parking. Overall, we highly recommend Lisa's place for a comfortable and convenient getaway!

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

Beautiful home, very pretty area. Peaceful, very modern home in a mature neighborhood. We were very comfortable & all family members were thrilled. Very convenient location to downtown & some of the attractions we visited. Thanks for your hospitality.

This was by far one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had! The loft we rented was absolutely beautiful—stylish, spotless, and even more stunning in person than in the already-gorgeous photos. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The owners were simply amazing (merci Pierre & his wife) —so welcoming, kind, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Super accommodating and easy to communicate with, which made the whole experience even better. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived, and we’re already planning our return. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway. We can’t wait to come back! 💛

The place was great. Spacious and comfortable. Fairly quiet. We were there during a snowstorm and the host helped with clearing snow and getting us out of a ditch. Highly recommend.

Cassandra is extremely communicative and welcoming. Everything is exactly as described. She's clearly a very experienced host (or just very natural at it!). I love her two adorable dogs!

Great stay Emily was a very good Host

Great place, clean and as described/shown. Only minor quibble I would note is that cooking some fries in the air fryer (only to golden, far from burnt) did set off the smoke detector as there is no exhaust fan in the kitchenette area and the smoke detector is quite close and apparently sensitive. Took a little while to clear out the air and have beeping cease, not sure how guests can be warned or guided on this but it was the only negative incident in the stay. Host was communicative and responsive, very helpful. There was firewood/kindling/matches to use in the outdoor fireplace, and they set up the electric grill which worked decently though fair warning that it is a challenge to clean afterwards! Rented it for an event in Ottawa and driving back and forth was great but didn't have a chance to explore the local area though it seemed lovely and very peaceful with a quaint downtown street. All in all a great place to stay!

Nice and peaceful, great stay

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Denis’s house is a peaceful escape surrounded by jungle and a lake, absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The rustic decor is charming, and Denis was kind and very responsive. Our dog loved exploring the area too, highly recommended!

This is a great cozy spot! Beautiful view of the lake and the cabin itself is all you need. Beautiful decor, the kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom was nice and clean and they providing shampoo and body wash. Also towels. The bed was comfy and the living room was a lovely cozy area. My only comment was that there was no curtains but not a big issue. It is a smaller cabin but had a great open concept. They also had a bottle of wine with two glasses to welcome us as we walked in:) Roger and Bonnie were very responsive and helpful with directions! Definitely would come back in the summer to try out some fishing.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Two of us and a dog went up to Pakenham for the new year and I can think of a better way to have done it. Unfortunately everything was closed for the week so we didn’t get to experience the brewery, but maybe next time! Everything was great. Clean, beautiful scenery and the creek going by the fire pit was serene. We’ve been to similar bunkies in the past and we actually found this one to be quite spacious. Only things I’d change: We knew going in that there would be no running water for the winter, but a shower would have been ideal - but again clearly mentioned that it would not be available. Using the washroom also wasn’t ideal as the smell could stick around. As long as the door was closed it was fine, however. I will be recommending this place to friends and family.

Jan Properties was great at giving clear instructions on where to go and a seamless check in. I was arriving in the evening and Jan was able to accommodate such a late arrival. The cabin was very clean and supplied the nessisities in the kitchen and bathroom. I was presently surprised that they supplied coffee, sugar and clean drinking water. Bathroom amenities was also supplied. The barbecue/stove was a great addition as I was able to cook for myself while I was there for a week. The bed was the second best part of my stay as it was very comfortable with clean sheets. I fell asleep very fast. But the best part, was the view from the cabin of the Lake. Three steps away and you get a clear view of a beautiful sunset every night. There was a lot more I could say about how cute and comfortable this cabin was, including the excellent WiFi. Will be staying again 100%.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

This was the second stay at this cabin, lovely setting with all the amenities needed as well as prompt communication. I would recommend this cabin for those who like a restful stay in a quiet place. Loved watching the ducks and geese on the lake!

This is the fifth time staying at the property! We love the location, less than an hour from Ottawa, and simple directions off hwy 7. Just beautiful looking out over the lake from the property. Highly recommended, especially to quickly escape the rat race in the city. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. Will go back

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.

This beautiful cabin in the meadows was exactly what we were hoping for. The song birds were incredible, the cabin was quaint, clean and smelled wonderful. The outdoor shower was a treat. I definitely recommend this for a quiet country get away!
