Beachfront vacation rentals in Otago Region

We had a brilliant 3 nights over the long weekend and experienced all seasons! Arrived to storms and the house was all toasty and waiting for us. Could hear the sound of the ocean from bed and it was so nice to watch the waves roll in from the lounge. House was very well stocked and comfortable. The beach and creek are beautiful and we met a sea Lion on our strolls. Loved out stay. And Dale was very communicative, checking in on us via text during the rough weather.

This property is such a gem, it’s a bit like stepping back in time to a proper family bach, but one that has been cared for really well. The position is absolutely stunning; the most amazing view - sitting with the door open listening to the birds and the sea was glorious. And a big walk along the beach below was a great start to the day I cannot wait to come back here, I felt so relaxed after a couple of nights here, I only wish it had been longer. Super easy to drive back to Oamaru, 15 mins tops.

Christine’s place was spacious, clean, and had very comfortable beds. It was warm and cozy, making it a great stay overall. Would definitely recommend!

A glorious location metres from my favourite beach. A really comfortable bolthole on a windy rainy night. Very high quality space with plenty of creature comforts. Emma was great to deal with. We'll definitely be back.

Beautiful views and great location made this an ideal Airbnb , well suited to our group of four. It’s conveniently located near the Royal Albatross Centre, where we got great views of the Albatross community and the return of the blue penguins after dark. We also enjoyed looking at the artwork in the house.

Our family enjoyed relaxing here. It was easy, clean, great views. Easy correspondence with Anne.

We loved our stay! Short 10 min drive to the city, 7 minutes to the Frankton grocery store. The kitchen has everything you need for home cooking, and good quality supplies at that. Their carbon steel pan is the best pan I’ve ever used in my life…. I am buying one as soon as we get home. The view of the lake is stunning, and the host was very communicative. 10/10 would highly recommend!

We were welcomed by Gloria and Tucker, fabulous hosts. Very flexible with check to allow us to get to the Oyster Festival. Great option if you are in Bluff for a few days. Could not recommend this more highly.

Great place, wanted a place to relax for a few days after cycling the TA. Unit had everything I needed and was very close to four square, restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a fabulous stay at Jo & Jeff's place, it was perfect space. A great location and facilities. The bed linen and towels were very high quality, the kitchen was well equipped and the location unbeatable. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again.

The place was so spacious, comfy and cozy. Beautiful views of the water. Spotless and so clean! We were very impressed! Bed heaters were a nice surprise. TV worked well with all the streaming services available. Wifi worked perfectly. Everything you need is in the kitchen. Shower was super clean, plenty of towels and face washers provided. Bed was really comfy and plenty of pillows. Overall amazing stay!

Great wee place to stay, clean and tidy. Lots of things to do, books, games, TV, etc. Has most amenities you’ll need!

Enjoyed our time at Janet’s cottage which was warm and cozy. A bonus to have electric blankets provided for all beds given the dipping temperatures. Thanks again for letting us stay at your place!

A truly wonderful apartment in a fantastic location, 3 mins walk to the town centre. Karen was an excellent host and was very responsive throughout, providing lots of local recommendations.

Dianne’s and Michael’s place was amazing! We took a gamble with a new listing and were not disappointed. Stunning views of the lake from front and back windows. Plenty of space for large families or friends. Clean and warm for colder months. We would definitely visit again :)

we had an excellent stay at the Bay House. everything is as pictured— beautiful furnishings, spacious, super clean, uncluttered. the location also cannot be beat with the lake just across the road and an easy walk into town. there was plenty of room for the three of us, the kitchen was well equipped and the washer/dryer came in handy after going on rainy/muddy hikes. it was rainy a few days during our visit to Queenstown but we did not mind spending time indoors at this home playing board games and reading. highly highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time at the River House. The house is fantastic, perfect amenities and right on the river. Jo was a fantastic communicator so helpful with any questions we had and we greatly appreciated Ken ensuring we had enough firewood. We had a lovely time and we were so sad to leave. Thanks Jo and Ken for your amazing hospitality.

Firstly let us say everything about this property is simply stunning, the space, the views, the location and did I mention the views.. As hosts, Kelly and Chris were so responsive and helpful. We would hope to return at some time, unfortunately while we were there our stay was impacted with noise from an adjacent property hosting a wedding. We reported this to Chris and Kelly who intend to take the matter further. This does not impact our desire to return nor does it affect the five star review this property deserves.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Wanaka. The house is huge with lots of "breakout" areas when multiple families are travelling together. The location is a 10-15 min stroll from shops and restaurants. The Wanaka Tree is a 1 minute walk from the back door. We loved sitting outside with a morning coffee watching the sun rise over the lake.

There can be some more effort in washing machine and the dryer. Other than that, I will give a 5-star to this place. Incompatible surrounding, gorgeous view from the living room window! And warm heating facilities in the house!
