Wonderful place in the middle of the jungle. Very quiet and secluded. Absolutely needs a 4x4. The pool is shared with another house. Stunning views from the pool. Would come back.

Monique & Hans' Balinese houses are utterly stunning. Expect to be in private serene bliss in amongst the wildlife with a very warm welcome. Monique's breakfasts are lovely with fresh produce from the garden. We couldn't recommend Bali Bosque highly enough. (ps. when they say you need a 4x4...you need a 4x4!)

Jessica is a great host, tending to your every need and providing valuable advice on what to do near the lodge. Don’t hesitate for a second!

The place is quite centrally located in Bahia Drake, there are 2 supermarkets next door and restaurants nearby, the kitchen is well-equipped and the room has air conditioning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jessica and Luis. Not only for the nice and quiet of the property, but also because of the good vibe and willingness of Jessica and her family. The property is very cute and located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Birds, monkeys, and the sea are part of the sight and constant sounds. The bungalow is very comfortable and has everything you need. And whatever you don't have, Jessica and Luis are always attentive to help with whatever you need!!

We really liked the place. The house is private, safe, comfortable and the location is very good. If you're looking to travel to Corcovado (like us) it's pretty central. The beaches are close by too. The only thing is that the place is very hot and the two rooms in the back don't have air conditioning. Nothing that can't be solved by moving the mattresses to the living room😜. It was also very convenient that it had a washing machine and clotheslines. Overall we really liked it and look forward to returning soon! Thank you.🙏

Rustic spot with fantastic access to wildlife. It's right next to a gorgeous beach, and the drake bay trail. I saw heaps of wildlife on that trail (3 species of monkey, agouti, currasows, caracaras, macaws, aracari, crocodile, blue morphos, etc), and even plenty from the airbnb itself (toucans, coati, monkeys, iguanas, tiger herons). The guy who you will actually be dealing with (Elmer) is so kind and friendly and I felt 100% safe as a solo woman. The walking directions from drop off weren't super clear, so you need a decent sense of direction (it is easy though). The fridge was a minifridge which isn't great if you are planning to cook or bring fruit with you, which you likely will do because there is 1 soda. But I was there 2 weeks so I needed a lot of food,it wouldn't be a problem if you're there a couple days. I speak some Spanish which made life much easier there.

Anita and Pirmin are super hosts! The lodge was newly built this year and is up to date. The two are always available, always kind and helpful. Even when we had a very nasty stomach intestinal flu, the two came up in the middle of the night, made us tea and brought missing medication. The bungalows are high quality built and very well equipped. You have almost everything you need, even coffee, salt and pepper and oil and vinegar are available. The towels are thick and fluffy and the bed linen very comfortable. Also in the large 2m wide bed you sleep very well. The terrace is great, you have a view of the forest and we saw a lot of toucans and other birds, one morning we were woken up by a group of howler monkeys sitting right in the trees in front of our terrace. Wonderful!! The pool is great. All in all, we were highly satisfied and would be happy to come back!! Thanks for the great time!!

Due to a small issue with the A/C i got contacted by Alvaro and he told me he could relocate me to "Casa Tuanis" where i got hosted by Jamaica, super sweet hostess that was very nice and could be easily reached if ever something went wrong. Alvaro is a great host, he made sure i was enjoying my stay even though i did not end up staying with him. I would recommend both his place and Casa Tuanis !

This was my second time staying in this place and I loved it just as much this time around! My mom came down for a visit and loved the place as well! In addition to the house and location being wonderful, the host is absolutely amazing! Very kind and responsive. I hope to be back again!

We had a great stay at Lisa her appartment. It's a clean and neat room, and we would visit it again! Lisa is such a great host, really quickly on answering any questions we had, really proactive!

Terrific hosts. Excellent communication. Beautiful and peaceful forest and creek setting. Very clean and tidy. Fast internet. Highly recommended.

If you want to experience Costa Rica as a local, Aaron's place is a great start. His home borders the rainforest where we were "serenaded" by holler monkeys every morning. As we enjoyed our morning coffee sitting around his pool, we saw various birds in his trees. Aaron took the time to lay out his site so that the pool received the best sun in the morning before the heat increases. We rented one room in his bungalo. It was quite comfortable with plenty of storage space. The bathroom featured a large curbless shower. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for our needs. Yes it did seem strange at first but there aren't any bugs so it wasn't an issue. We did see the room he occasionally rents in his main house and that is very nice. The cost was very reasonable with all the amenities. We were quite surprised how economical it was to experience Costa Rica. Aaron is very knowledgable about the area. He helped us set up an itinerary and made arrangements for us too.

rita was super nice and welcoming. the place has a nice little pool that the kids enjoyed very much. and sitting on the couch looking at all the greenery was great. the house has extra small things that helped, like usb splitters to charge all our phones (our appliances aren't with the local plug, so that helped a lot). the television is only in one room though. and can't be seen from the living space. if you decide on ojochal, i definitely recommend Rita's place. aside from that, about the location. it is quiet and pretty, but ojochal was a bit problematic for us. some water, and electricity cut offs (didn't have water for half a day), and the main bridge to ojochal sometimes gets swept away by the rain, only to be rebuilt in a few hours. there is another longer way around though in case that happens

This was a great place to be for a few days. The hosts there on the property were wonderful and wanted to accommodate our needs while there. It was a comfort that they were there. We did hear howler monkeys which was a fun treat and the pool was wonderful. Maria was very responsive by phone and was willing to work when we needed. The construction trucks and trips above the property were unfortunate but we didn’t let it bother us, it was still a good place to be.

Michaele is a kind and caring man. He picked me up by car when I got off the boat, on the main beach of Bahia Drake without this being planned! The accommodation was simple but charming, and the nights spent in it to the rhythm of the sound of the waves were truly magical. Sublime view a few meters above the accommodation, authentic warm place, I recommend it!! 🤗🙏

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like a tropical setting, peace and quiet. Constance is the ultimate host and very accommodating! I highly recommend you stay here when your in Costa Rica.

We stayed a month at Linda and Rob’s place and highly recommend it! The grounds and casita are very private and well equipped! The pool is amazing and we appreciated having it all to ourselves! It was great waking up, having coffee, and listening to the birds each morning. The fans were anmazing and we never even needed aircon! Linda and Rob gave many excellent recommendations including a physician when we had a medical issue. Thank you very much for your generous hospitality!

This is a lovely place. The views from the cabins are beautiful, and you can hear the sounds of the sea and the jungle at night. The staff are friendly, and Michaele is a helpful host who provided us with useful tips. . For those who enjoy being close to nature, this spot is a good choice.
