Down the block from Tulane - Uptown

SusanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had a great stay at Alicia's place during Tulane's Bookfest 2025. My Tulane student lives off-campus less than 2 blocks from this home, so it was convenient to connect every day and to walk to campus together. It is worth noting (and the listing notes this) that there isn't a full kitchen. Just a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. But my student had a list of restaurants to visit and we went out and about every day, so we didn't need more. The fridge was great for keeping cold waters and leftovers! Nicely updated bathroom. Nice, simple furnishings. Had everything we needed. We had a little trouble getting in the gate the first day, but the owner was very responsive and the gate worked every day after that first day. We also enjoyed petting the resident dogs on our way in or out. Very sweet and friendly. I had a rental car and always found parking right out front or on the side street next to the house. All in all, would recommend, especially for parent visits like mine!

Space is exactly as described in a really lovely, artful part of the city with easy walking/biking/running to the Quarter or the Bywater neighborhood. Lots of green spaces nearby. Wifi is fast and great for remote work. Lots of restaurants and places to enjoy all around. Kitchen amenities limited as mentioned by hosts, so bring your appetite for enjoying out! Good to consider for longer stays perhaps.

City Park/Bayou: Clean, Spacious and Comfortable

BenRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Andrew was very friendly and responsive. This Airbnb is in a very pleasant part of mid-city, near the bayou, the art museum and City Park. An easy walk to the street car line (the Canal line on one of its two branches) and also centrally located for navigating nola by car (zip down Orleans for the Quarter, Esplanade for the Marigny/Bywater, straight shot down Carrollton to river bend end of St Charles etc etc.) There are good restaurants and bars nearby- a couple in walking distance. The space was pleasant and tidy, the courtyard is lovely. Be advised the futon isn’t going to please a picky sleeper but it’s functional for most and the bed is big enough to accommodate two. Highly recommend!

Uptown Gem

KatherineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Jacob's place was wonderful and he is a very responsive host. It's located in a great, walkable location with lots of delicious restaurants nearby. It is also located near the 11 bus line, which made it easy when we wanted to take public transportation. The Airbnb is beautifully renovated and decorated. It is also quite and peaceful. There is a bright street light right outside, so it can be a little bright at night and the blinds are not blackout shades. But we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay again!

Condo w/ Historic Charm on Popular Magazine Street

MelissaRating, 5 stars14 months ago
I loved staying at Brenda's! The apartment itself was beautiful and charming. Just sitting out on the porch felt like a vacation. The home itself was clean and comfortable, and it was located right on Magazine Street, and easy walk from many shops and restaurants. Brenda communicated clearly, kindly, and proactively. I'd highly recommend this stay!

The Big Easy Suite

Belinda And ClayRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Erica and her husband are stand out, exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond on multiple occasions during our stay to make our visit to NOLA the best that it could be. The space they offer is sparkling clean, private, and very comfortable/cozy. It’s a little out of the hustle and bustle of downtown, so quiet and peaceful, but conveniently close enough to everything by car, Uber, and/or public transportation. Check-in was smooth and easy. Erica was always very responsive and clear in our communications, or when we had questions. Their place was ideal for us on our visit. We highly recommend it, and like I said before, they were very friendly hosts with top notch hospitality.

The Dolly Suite

ShannonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My daughter & I stayed for a long weekend for her 16th birthday and the Dolly suite could not have been more perfect. This was our first trip to BSL and it was a delight. This suite is small but mighty and really just enough space. The courtyard for the Bell House is absolutely adorable and very shady for hot days. Front porch is delightful and the landscaping is gorgeous and provides just enough distance to be private but yet watch the cars and carts go by. Lauren has such a talent for interior design and that wallpaper is the most fabulous thing I've ever seen - The mix of antique construction and modern updates are perfectly done. It is quaint and just makes you happy. It was HOT during our visit and the AC kept cold the whole time. The mattress was heavenly and Lauren even sent me a link to it b/c I had to know :) I just highly recommend if this girly studio suite speaks to you for a trip to BSL. Thank you Lauren & Ryan! Oh, and don't forget to visit Fleurty Girl!

Sweet Home

JoshuaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Ozue was a phenomenal host, treated us like family. The accommodations were perfect and as beautiful as the photos. On site parking was so great to have and well lit. I was nervous about the location next to the main roads but didn’t hear any of it behind closed doors and that proximity is an actual blessing…we were on the road and across town to the convention center in 15 minutes (and that was with heavy French Quarter traffic)! An absolute wonderful experience!

The Traveler's Respite

BarbaraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The location was perfect for our stay because it was close to family. The bedroom suited our needs with a wardrobe and dresser for our clothes. The bathroom was wonderful and had everything we needed. The outside area was lovely and I sat out by the fountain in the morning with my coffee and enjoyed the surroundings. Parking on the street was not a problem, but we are used to street parking in New Orleans. The little kitchen area had a small refrigerator, sink, dishes, and coffee maker. Pam and Jim had coffee and tea selections and water in the fridge. Some snacks were provided. Best thing was our communication with Pam and Jim. Every text was promptly answered. We did not require much help since we lived in NOLA for several years, but I have no doubt that Jim and Pam would be very helpful if you were unfamiliar with the city. The neighborhood is lovely, safe, and quiet if you are visiting New Orleans.

A Short Walk to the Streetcar

KarenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Adorable place with comfort in mind. Well maintained with lots of outdoor lighting to make it safer after dark. The entrance is located in a secure, private yard adding to feeling more secure. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and equipment making it easy to prepare a meal, if you wanted to. Just the right size for one or two persons. I was there during unusual freezing temperatures but the home was toasty warm. I would highly recommend this place

Gingerbread House NOLA

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We have stayed in several Airbnb rentals in New Orleans. All were good, but Eve's was by far the best. The house is spotless. The floor plan exceptional in that it lends itself to open areas to relax as well as providing spaces conducive to privacy and even distance work. The back yard and deck area is beautifully landscaped- a great space to enjoy a good book. There are two full and one half bath. The beds are comfortable. We like to bike to many destinations when we are in New Orleans. We usually rely on the Blue Bike System. Eve provided four bikes which were far more convenient. Eve is very responsive, but never overbearing. We will gladly return.

Gone Festin’: Cozy 2BR/French Quarter & Jazz Fest

JuliaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Joe & Ali, your place is perfect! And you two are fantastic hosts - so friendly, helpful & responsive. We stayed for 10 days during JazzFest & it couldn’t have been better. Such a charming Airbnb with lots of sweet touches and all the amenities you could want. Spotlessly clean & so cozy with generous space. The beds are really comfortable. The location is incredible at the intersection of the 7th ward, Bayou St. John & Tremé. There are great restaurants, bakeries, bars & breakfast spots within a 10 min walk. You’ll hear baby Mac & pup Darla playing upstairs in the mornings but we loved the joyful sounds. Already booked for next JazzFest. Thanks Joe & Ali!
