Rosemary's Nest is awesome! The view off the front porch is a different movie every night. Old Rag, White Oak Canyon and the Skyline Drive are about 40 minutes away, Culpeper is 16 miles away. I suppose we were a little different type of guests, as we stayed ~six months. I was there to recover from a full hip replacement and the steep-ish driveway was perfect for physical therapy. Rosemary and Joe became like family, kept an eye out for us and they invited us upstairs for many delicious dinners and a Civil War quiz. If I have to get my other hip done in the next year or so, we certainly will be returning!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Katie’s Airbnb in Charlottesville! The house, though older, has been beautifully upgraded and offers a lot of space. With a separate bedroom, living area, and well-equipped kitchen, it provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The space was roomy, cozy, and nicely maintained. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue F.R.O.G. The unit is clean and immediately felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed the private setting and beautiful views. Thank you! Hope to stay again.

The terrace was amazing, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink. The room itself? Furnished to perfection! They really thought of everything, all the amenities you could ask for. And the towels? Plush, like you wouldn't believe. We will definitely be back. I also want to give a shout-out to our host, Joy. She was so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Really went above and beyond. If you're looking for a place to stay in Culpeper, this is it!"

Glenn is a great host. Friendly, helpful, flexible. Wonderful lawn that goes down to the river. Canoe and kayaks available. Fire pit with lots of free wood. Well equipped kitchen. Very quiet. We’d go back anytime.

Melissa's space was exactly as advertised, and she was a very friendly host - even taking time out of her day to introduce our girls to some ducks and chickens. We had a very nice stay.

I had a great stay at Yvette’s place! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth, and communication was quick and helpful throughout. The location was peaceful and quiet, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay! The home is in a beautifully updated old house that still maintains its historic charm. Everything felt clean and thoughtfully cared for. It was peaceful and quiet, with pretty, farm-like views out the windows—great for relaxing. I also appreciated that it was just a quick 10-minute drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and even a 24-hour gym. One big plus for me: there were plenty of towels and pillows, which I always find makes a huge difference in comfort. Would absolutely stay again!

The house is in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains with peaceful views from the front porch that include a field of lavender and a stream. A forested trail network can be accessed at the far end of the lavender field--so bring your hiking shoes. The house is stunning with clean lines, "european" design and decor that includes high-end appliances and fixtures. Francesca is the ultimate host-very friendly and helpful. She provided all the information and details on the house that you would need for an easy check-in, stay, and check-out. From my initial conversations with her when I booked the house to helpful messages just before and during our stay, I felt like I was staying at the house of an old friend. We look forward to staying at Orso Blu on a future trip!

We loved it! It’s a very nice and quiet area for a perfect weekend getaway at the lake. Of course, we were sold on the idea of having a private dock to use as well. House has plenty of space and we had a lot of fun with their different puzzles and board games available. Zack and Kate are very responsive and friendly hosts.

I have stayed at several homes in the local area and Robinson River Retreat did not disappoint. From first inquiry to check-out Laura was very responsive and accommodating with my questions and check-in information. The house is better than the pictures online and descriptions were spot on. I was really impressed by the size of the rooms and even though we didn't have a full house can easily see that 10 people would be very comfortable and not crowded. It was too cold to swim but I did check out the swimming hole across the street. I'm hoping to try it out when the weather is warmer. There is so much to do in the local area, from boundary access hiking SNP to vineyards, local history, activities at Graves Mountain or just chill out and do nothing. We were in the area for a wedding, and it group was an all adult family of three couples driving in from three different places. This home works quite well for our situation with easy parking on street. Better than three hotel rooms and plenty of room to live in. Great living room to gather and chat, dining room and kitchen well stocked with Keurig and pods. The only potentially awkward part is that you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another en-suite bathroom. The other full bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are all upstairs. Again, this posed no problem for us but perhaps for others. We knew about this but it worked fine for our situation. Alaurah was very responsive and proactive in the planning phase. Our schedule was packed so we didn't have a ton of time in the area. Next time!

We can’t say enough about our stay at The Wooder House. The home was perfect for our group of six, giving us all our own space to retreat while also offering large spaces to enjoy meals and movies together. Our kids loved the collections of board games, vinyl records and Calvin & Hobbes books. Everything we needed was readily available and thoughtfully organized, and Amy was such an attentive and kind host for our entire stay. Our visit revolved around hiking in Shenandoah, so the home was a great base camp for our adventures. It’s about a 30 minute drive to the south entrance of the park, and 20 minutes to a variety of breweries, coffee shops and vineyards. We truly can’t wait to visit again.

Our stay at OverlookLoft was amazing. Host James answered our many questions, and made us feel right at home. The loft is about 20minutes from Shenandoah national park, and within 60minutes of 10 different hikes along Skyline Drive. The loft has upgraded amenities, including remote control hvac, and a new outdoor propane grill. You’ll find comfy outdoor seating on the refinished deck. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, spices and more. Making a home cooked meal was easy and convenient. The onsite water supply was fresh, clean and delicious, I strongly recommend giving the tap a try. Inside you’ll find a thoughtful guidebook, loaded with numerous pages of local hotspots and town history. The local town of Elkton was filled with super friendly folks. As was nearby Harrisonburg. Glad we had our 4x4 with us, as some parts of the road and driveway were steep.

We had the most amazing time! The location was perfect and the firepit was amazing!!! Very short kayak ride to the sandbar which was awesome. Would stay here again.

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

Great location in the resort. Lots of events for entertainment.

We visited Massanutten 9 years ago. It left such an impression on my daughter that as a now 18 yo, she wanted to return for her senior year spring break. We had a great time as a family and will return!

We came for a graduation and Bill’s space was perfect for what we needed: private, clean, and comfortable. He was welcoming but not intrusive, and we felt safe. We’d definitely stay again!

Great place in a great part of Charlottesville! Very modern & kind of funky! But spotless & easy to stay in. Issac was super responsive during check-in while we were trying to figure a few things out. Would love to go back! Highly recommended.

Beautiful location, up the hill from the water! Great fishing and easy to get around the local area! House was spotless and smelled clean when we walked in. Bed was comfortable! They've thought of everything! Will visit again!
