Tanja and her in-laws, who manage the cottage, are very friendly and helpful. The location is of course fantastic and the cottage very nice. It should be noted that the electricity is provided by generator and is only available at a very reduced rate (light) between 9 PM and 6 AM. The heating is a furnace heater, which is good to know at this altitude and the temperatures there. Communication was good. The journey can be a little intimidating if you are new to the mountains - the navigation system says 100 km/h on mountain roads and thus calculates the travel time earlier. But you're more likely to be traveling at 30-50 km/h. It's good to find your way

We enjoyed our stay at Marcos Almhütte extraordinarily. We found the contact with him very pleasant. The cabin is wonderfully remote and quiet, really relaxing. We found the ambiance authentic; our weakness for improvisation, active and passive, helped. During the six days of our stay we took care of ourselves at the top of the cabin. Cooking on the wood stove was fun; for breakfast coffee, Marco has a small gas burner, very handy. There is an opportunity for many fruitful hikes directly from the cabin; the Schleibnitz via ferrata can also be highly recommended. From the hut to Zettersfeld it takes 1 hour on the short path; there are a steep no-good cow pasture and pasture fences to overcome (medium cool). Nice refreshments.

The apartment is very spacious and spotless! The balcony has a fantastic view of the Dolomites and was always the place to have breakfast. It is situated in an ideal location to visit the many attractions of Lienz. Gerhard made us feel so welcome and is onsite if we ever needed anything. We will certainly be back!

Zuegg Suite #7 with French balcony

I highly recommend Zuegg Suiten to stay in if you are visiting Lienz (there are multiple available!). The apartment we stayed in was well kept, modern and right in the centre of town. There is a good amount of space for two people (and a small child like us). You do have to walk up a couple flights of stairs to access the apartment as it is the converted attic. There is a great bakery just below the entrance and the main part/restaurants are a stones throw away. Overall, a nice place to relax with all the things you need.
