Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Northwood

Staying at the little lake house was a perfect getaway. Perfect balance of nature, things to do and restaurants. We hope to go back in the future!

Beautiful home with water views, amazing location to walk or drive into Portsmouth or the outlets in Kittery.

Me and my family had a great time at Steve’s place. The weather was a little windy so it did interfere with our plans at the lake but Steves place made up for it with the great pool which was not that cold and lets not even say the hot tub was amazing! Steve was attentive and letting me know how to check in, how to check out and what needed to be done. Thanks!

Such a cute place - the entire home was so much better than the photos even!! The bed and bedding was also super comfortable and all of the included seating and such was super cute! There was also a chalkboard wall that was really cool! Will certainly consider coming again!

This beautiful lake front home was a great space for our group (8 adults, 1 infant, dog)! Plenty of space for everyone to gather, inside or outside. Lake amenities were such a plus! Carl and other co-hosts were so responsive leading up to our stay and during!

This beautiful home is simply next level! Elegant, peaceful, tasteful and comfortable. It's a dream home that we are lucky to share/rent!

The house is beautiful and the views are just breathtaking. From inside the house, you get a beautiful view of the lake and then the porch is amazing. You can kayak, use the paddle board or use the canoe. You can also sit by the lake and enjoy the campfire. The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful. The host is very responsive, solved all our doubts and was flexible with us during check-in and check-out, which we appreciated very much. At check-in, we were greeted by a great bottle of wine and chocolates, which was a great touch. The house also has a ping pong table, books to read and board games. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics. We had an amazing stay, we highly recommend this property :)

Loved staying here and having the water right outside, so beautiful. My pup loved running laps around the fenced in yard, will definitely want to come back and stay again when it’s not raining!

My sister and I were interested in a spending very relaxing weekend in a cozy setting where we could unplug and recharge from the stresses of our every day lives and this place really fit the bill. The setting is lovey and the antique home is filled with charm. We were lucky enough to choose a peak foliage weekend and the views out of the enormous windows were breathtaking. The area itself is also filled with New England charm and lots of places to explore. It all went by too fast but the weekend was exactly what we needed. Out hosts were wonderful. We had absolutely everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying with them in the very private space attached to their home. We definitely plan to stay again!

Laurie is a wonderful host. Her home was a quiet sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a beautiful Airbnb. Pictures are exact. I don't think I've stayed at a cleaner Airbnb - it was spotless. I loved that all the windows had curtains or shades since the windows face the private backyard area. It was great having a suitcase holder stand. Although in the basement of someone's home I didn't hear a thing. The location is not walkable, but just a couple mile drive will get you to dunkin donuts, yummies candy store, the outlets in Kittery and a few more minutes over the bridge and you are in Portsmouth. It was a lovely stay. I would highly recommend.

I stayed at Alan's place before and I specifically booked his place again. I would have worked my flights around availability if I needed to. I love the location and the apartment layout is absolutely the best. Peaceful and relaxing and everything anyone could need or want is there. Alan and his wife are so friendly and welcoming. I plan on staying with them again for sure. I love looking out the windows at the surrounding trees and I took pictures of the wild turkeys enjoying their surroundings as well this year!

I’ve rented several places, and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. The home was immaculate and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—and more! The kitchen had all the essentials, plus extras like spices, condiments, and even butter, which we needed. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, making our stay even more comfortable. The mattress was high quality and very comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer was a huge bonus. Everything was perfect—highly recommend!

I stayed with Evan and Rachel previously in the apartment located upstairs from the Hideaway Studio. Once again, I was not disappointed! Spotlessly clean, great location, clear instructions, and perfect for a single guy looking to stay a few nights in Derry. No complaints except I was unable to find any dish soap, so I had to wash everything with hand soap. Also, when using the hot tub, I was bothered by a musty smell coming from the water, especially when all the jets were turned on. Perhaps I’m just overly sensitive to mold. Also, some of the pictures should be updated. While I didn’t need it for my stay, the bunk bed was not set up, so it was just the full bed with the twin trundle underneath. Wonderful stay overall, and I would not hesitate to book this location again!

Molly's home was the perfect pick. From the second we walked in, we knew we made the right choice. Before even arriving, Molly reached out & made us feel welcome. Her place truly felt like a home away from home. It was comfortable and cozy. Worried that you forgot something? I guarantee she has an extra there waiting for you. Truly the little things that made a huge difference.

The cabin is exactly as pictured. Cozy and inviting. Kerri tried to anticipate travelers needs. Plenty of coffee, tea and cocoa if desired. We especially appreciated the snacks and water she provided while we were out on the trails. The washer and dryer came in handy to clean our muddy hiking clothes.

Alecia’s place is truly a magical cabin in the woods! From the moment we arrived, we could feel the love and care that has gone into every square inch of this beautiful retreat. Every detail is thoughtfully curated, making the space feel warm, welcoming, and special. Alecia was incredibly proactive and accommodating throughout our stay—she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and felt right at home. Her hospitality made our experience even more memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, enchanting getaway where you can truly relax and recharge, I can’t recommend this cabin enough. Loved every second of our stay here. The surroundings were peaceful and the amenities plentiful (for humans and dogs alike). Matt was extremely communicative and provided great local recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

Enjoyed the cabin very much! Cabin is decently maintained and rustic. The lake and outdoor space is beautiful. We enjoyed a few nice walks through the forest and along the trails. Managed to use the fire pit one night and enjoyed overlooking the lake at night and seeing the bats dive for bugs. Grocery store and some restaurants all within a few minutes, so were able to stock up nicely before settling in for a long weekend. Internet worked great and we were able to stream a movie on the TV without buffering. Had an issue with one of the beds the first night but Gene responded quickly and had someone out to fix it in record time. Great experience and would love to book it again soon!

Wonderfully peaceful, tranquil setting on the lake, in the woods. Perfect for a quiet getaway to reflect and renew. Everything was exactly as described, and Laurel was a gracious and responsive host. The cabin was rustic yet newly refinished, very clean, well equipped. Enjoyed the screened in gazebo, loved sitting by the water as well, plus experiencing the lake in the canoe and kayak. Also enjoyed some great hiking and views at Mt Kearsarge which is less than 20 minutes away. And finally -- the sounds of the loons after sunset. Grateful for three days of renewal!

We had a great time at Molly's cabin. We were looking for a quiet stay and we had that. Lots of walking and hiking. The cabin was just as described snd Molly was a fantastic host. Thank you Molly!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! The fire pit area was perfect and the screened in porch was so nice. Good space in the cabin and was very clean. The community road next to the cabin can be a little loud with large construction vehicles and ATVs, really appreciated the curtains that were hung in the screen porch blocking the road. Reminder to also pack/bring your own wood for the fire and coffee. The community market close by was also very convenient for these and other items. Alan was very responsive and nice, would recommend to others to stay here!

We fell in love with this cabin! It is even better than the photos, immaculately clean, totally private, and stocked with all of the necessities. This was the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary and we hope to stay here again ASAP. Michele is a wonderful host!
