Vacation rentals with a fire pit in North Bay

We are in awe with how amazing this place is. The river is a joyous sight to enjoy, the house is comfy, the hosts welcoming, and the drive up was full of grand views. There are trails, games indoors and outdoors, the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen from an Air B&B, and an amazingly relaxing softtub. Wanda and Greg were immediately inviting and let us know in advance what to expect on how to get there and the fun things to do while at Valhalla and in Mattawan. If I could recommend anything to someone coming here it would be to bring a good pair of waterproof shoes and a day pack to explore the mountain paths. They were a great treat and we would walk them again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to rave about at this cozy home I can't list them all here but we will be happy to return and enjoy even more of what Valhalla has to offer.

This is our second time staying here and will definitely be back. Eleanora is very friendly and approachable who shows she really cares to ensure her guests are happy and comfortable. The house is very cozy and exactly as described and shown in pictures. We found it to be clean and well equipped including extras such as games, books and information on what the area has to offer.

Such a nice place to stay, we had a good time on the cabin!! And Paula is so nice and helpful! I would definitely comeback to this place!!

Our family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful cabin! Check in was quick and easy and Jadey was extremely responsive to messages. Communication was great from arrival to departure. While we did not have access to the wifi, these things happen and we understood. A storm that blew in the day prior caused some issues which didn’t affect our enjoyment and it was a good opportunity to “unplug”. Included availability of the Kayaks, canoes, and water bike was a great way to explore. Excellent location for young families looking to spend relaxing days on the clear and shallow beach with the kids. We also took advantage of the basketball net and tennis court on the cooler days. Overall we had a great stay at Sunset Cove and have no doubt we will return again in the future! Thank you Jadey and Jack.

We had a great stay at the Hilltop Hideout. Sandor was an excellent host, responded to every question I had within an hour, and provided great details on activities and essentials in the area. The locaton is beautiful and with all of the extra equipment and items that the house has, you are bound for a great vacation. Would stay again, 10/10 experience.

Stayed at Riverside cottage when attending a graduation at Nipissing U and decided we needed some extra down time. What a great place! It was exactly as advertised, clean, spacious, beautiful and most all…peaceful. Thank you Dulcie for the great stay. We look forward to staying here during snowmobile season!

We booked the Airbnb last minute and it was the perfect getaway! Very clean and Kim was very responsive. Kitchen has everything you need! Lovely stay. We saw lots of white tailed deer next to the house while on a walk!

Beautiful place. Waterfront was great for the kids. Nice and quiet area. Local stores had everything we needed. Good fishing in the immediate area. Would recommend!!!

The place was beautiful. Quiet neighborhood. Only negative was we couldn’t find the gray bin mentioned for recycles. Otherwise I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to wind down and relax.

Absolutely beautiful location for a relaxing getaway. Quiet and serene sandy beach. Kayaks available as described and we thoroughly enjoyed taking in the views from the lake. Great place to take the opportunity to try out the SUP in the shallows of their sandy beach. Bev and Louise were welcoming and readily available to answer any questions. We truly appreciate our hosts for sharing their home to provide such a wonderful experience.

Where would I even begin? This was by far the best experience I’ve had. The unit exceeded expectations, it really did make you feel at home from the moment you walked in. It is honestly so nice, zero complaints. The host’s were absolutely amazing. They were so responsive to any need I had no matter how big or small, and made everything just so comfortable. I don’t think I’ll ever come across a group quite like them again. I would highly recommend this unit and any other unit listed under the host’s. They made being away from home and the struggles of daily life feel effortless. I am grateful for all they did and accommodated for me. As I said, best experience I’ve had by far.

We had a really nice and peaceful stay at Lynn’s. She kindly let us used some snowshoes which was a must to explore the snowy nearby trails. The sauna and jaccuzi were really appreciated to warm up after a day in the cold! Would like to come back in the summer or fall as it must be stunning as well!

Our stay was smooth and relaxed. The host was very friendly and accommodating. They were checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The space was well organized, clean and really cozy. We were really happy with all the amenities the host provided. Everything is prepared for us from the kitchen, living room bedroom and bathroom. The nature is beautiful and serene. Although we were unlucky with the weather, because it was raining all day the day that we were staying there. However, the host was very kind and understanding, to allow us to extend our stay for a little while just to enjoy the property on the beautiful sunny morning before our check out time. Overall, it was a really great experience there and we’re hoping to go back again!

This is our second stay at Mandy’s. Extremely comfortable bed and clean. No noise. Stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Mandy’s is very quick to respond.

Liz and Joe are anazing hosts. They not only helped us unload but walked us through amenities in the house. They are super friendly, responsuve and very nice people. Not only their place had everything but they made sure to send additional stuff to help us. Above all, place was beautiful, quiet and had a great view. We were lucky to spot Aurora (northern lights) and meteors...lots of stargazing. Had a great weekend! Would go back again for sure and have already recommended to friends!

My friends and I had such a wonderful time at this cottage! The house was cozy and really well maintained and the outdoor view was absolutely stunning. Heather was an amazing host and answered all our inquires in a timely manner. Heather also provided very clear instructions to our group, making our stay that much more comfortable. We would totally book this place again and deeply recommend it for anyone looking for a weekend get away!

The Happy Place was a beautiful, quaint cabin with all the essentials for a peaceful nature getaway. Katie and Dave were thoughtful and proactive in providing check-in information and recommendations for things to do in the area. The cabin had tons of charming details, was extremely well kept and offered a lot of privacy. Weather and prior engagements kept us from enjoying the outdoor amenities (sauna, fire pit, kayaks) but we did enjoy throwing on a movie from their great collection. We would certainly come again to this picturesque cabin.

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

Really cozy and charming spot with access to a great lake to go for a rip in the canoe. Wood-burning furnace especially quaint. In modern parlance - the highest level of glamping around (not recommended if you require a regular flushing toilet but the compost toilet is simple enough and doesn’t smell.) We will be back!

Great place to chill out for a few days. The cottage and surroundings were quiet and beautiful. As for the hosts, Tina was really nice and easy to communicate with and her recommandations made everything easy. I highly recommend her and her husband’s cottage!

We wanted a place to stay that was relatively close to Antoine Mountain, and a place that was peaceful and private. We were so lucky to find Alan's place, 15 minutes from Antoine Mountain, and only a few minutes from Mattawa (which had any food and supplies that we needed). We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the cabin. Alan was very helpful from the time we checked in until we checked out - always respecting our privacy. The cabin had all we needed to be cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was a wonderful perk after skiing each day! We look forward to going back in the warmer months to be able to take advantage of how close the cabin is to various canoe routes and hiking trails. Thank you, Alan, for making it a great mini-vacation!

We loved our stay, the perfect getaway in nature, with beautiful surroundings and cozy accommodations. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

James' place is a beautiful cabin situated in a scenic area, backing onto a dense forest with a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees. Great place to unwind and disconnect, near various spots reachable within a short drive, like Screaming Heads, Sprucedale Workroom, and Brooks Falls Park. The interior is as it appears in the photos- well decorated and sporting a fantastic vinyl record collection. The outdoor shower is a huge plus, as well. Highly recommend James' cabin, and I will be booking it again in the future.
