This is a private rental accommodation on a hill overlooking the horizon of Shima-yakushima, a World Natural Heritage site. Enjoy a relaxing time with family and friends in a spacious 77-square-meter old house. There are few houses around, and it is a quiet place surrounded by trees and a small stream. You can see the sea to the east, so you can sometimes see the moonrise. The starry sky is also very beautiful. Anbo town is a 10-minute drive, convenient for shopping and eating. The popular Jomon Sugi mountain climbing bus stop is a 15-minute drive away. If you're having trouble finding a rental car, you can car share the owner's car (using the Carstay app). It is a light vehicle with a capacity of 4 people and it is a cargo car, so the ride comfort is not the best, but it is a 4WD with plenty of luggage space. Please let me know at the time of booking if you need it. * A license to drive in Japan is required.

Holiday House Nagata/200m walk to the beach

200 metres from Nagata beach. Private and fully self holiday contained house. 2 bedrooms with seperate bathroom and toilet. Full kitchen and clothes washing and drying machine. Holiday House Nagata is located in the western part of Yakushima Island, close to Inaka beach, the best sea turtle spawning beach in Japan, and you can walk to Maehama beach from home.The sunset view from the beach is beautiful, and there are Yokogawa Gorge, Yakushima Lighthouse, and Seibu Forest Road nearby.Since it is far from the trailhead, it is highly recommended to rent a car.If you only come to Jomon Cedar climbing, Nagata is far away, so please look at the map to consider it.The May-July 2021 Sea Turtle Watch was canceled due to COVID-19.Please note that you will not be able to get off the beach after 8pm.If you go to the beach at 5:00 in the morning, it is recommended because it is possible to meet sea turtles.

Ocean view guest house Yakushima - Cottage

This location is very quiet & secret place for vacation home. There is a small Tatami room like a tea celemony room that you can use as yoga, meditation etc. for your private time. However, no kitchen facility. We provide an electric pot,cups,small dishies, refrigerater,toaster, so you can bring some food etc. There is sea and forest view from the guest cottage. (back side is large tea plantation) Cottage is made in Japanese style with aromatic local cedar wood , open beams, and Shoji screens.

Fisherman's living experience inn: Fuku no Ki

Yakushima is famous for mountains, but the sea, fish are also attractive. This inn is a bit inconvenient, but we treat you like family. And you can eat delicious fresh fish. The building is a converted fisherman's barn. We will cook fish together, heat Goemon bath with firewood, and provide you with a stay as if you were living with us. One cooking experience is included during your stay. On other days, you will stay without meals. Optional fishing boat tour (extra charge) is also available.

Miyanoura Port Convenience: Riverside Entire home

We chose our accommodation's location carefully to make it as convenient as possible. Yakushima is quite remote and doesn't have many transportation options. Yakushima is relatively large, covering about 100 kilometers. There are restaurants and supermarkets scattered around, but it can be challenging to find rental cars or taxis. →You can walk to popular restaurants in just 3 minutes, so you can have a great meal and easily return. Additionally, a supermarket is only a 7-minute walk away.

Marvelous ocean view Cottage

Our cottage is located on the hill looking over the Yakushiam's sea. You can see the marvelous ocean view and mountains. Its floor, wall, and ceiling are made with cedar plates. Inside the cottages are large cedar beams and the rooms are filled with the fragrance of the timber. The cottage is equipped with a unit bathroom, private balcony, a mini kitchen with an cooking heater and a small refrigerator, and some cookware and tableware, which can be freely used by the guest.

Renovated old houses about 100 years ago. The surroundings are surrounded by greenery and you hear the birds' voices. I can see the sea from my house. There is a scenery point of sunset in 2 minutes on foot. Next to the house is a power spot at a shrine. It is a very beautiful environment. There is a stove on the soil. You can spend listening to the birds' voices while being shaken by the hammock.
