Unforgettable Stay at Cable Bay! My husband and I had such an incredible time at this beachfront Airbnb that we ended up extending our trip—honestly, we just didn’t want to leave so we extended our stay and extra day! The property offers stunning views of the ocean and provides direct access to the best beach in the area. Rosemary and Brian were fantastic hosts from the moment we arrived, greeting us warmly and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their thoughtful recommendations on local dining spots and nearby attractions really enhanced our experience. The location is perfect—there’s a fantastic fishery and a charming dairy just around the corner, so everything you could need is within easy reach. We truly had an unforgettable time and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this hidden gem at Cable Bay!

It's a little hard to find, but once you get there you are rewarded with an amazing place to stay. Super chill beachy vibe with great outdoor area and fantastic view.

Lisas place at Coopers Beach was a wonderful find. North facing with stunning views along the beach and out to sea with and all day sun. Lovely to sit on the Deck and enjoy the view or lie in bed at night listening to the waves gently lapping the shore. Highly recommend.

I wanted a place that was quirky and this was it The caravan bedroom was very comfortable Kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed Having the yard fenced was great for my furbaby although she did like playing with the resident Labs!!! Loved walking along the beach watching the Kite surfers We didn't need to leave the property Having Netflix available was a treat as weather was very unpredictable!! Would love to return in summer!! A 5 star host!!!

Tyson’s Waterfront Bach is located very close to the ferry ramp in Okiato. It has a lovely view across the water towards Opua and is well-appointed, delightful, peaceful and cosy. Access to the water is good, the drive to Russell takes only about ten minutes and there is a lovely, local but at times tricky, walk through native forest. Within minutes of arriving, we were relaxed and enjoying our stay. So it continued for 5 nights. We’d come again. Thank you John

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was me, my partner, my sister, her partner, and their newborn — and the space was perfect for all of us. The house was fresh, clean, and beautifully maintained. Being right on the beach made it even more special — private, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. The host went above and beyond by providing breakfast items and treats, which we really appreciated. There were also heaps of games available, which we definitely made use of and had a lot of fun with. You can really feel the care that’s gone into creating a welcoming and comfortable space. We’d definitely love to come back — highly recommend!

A modular bach with lots of separate rooms, older but has everything you need. Right across the road from the beach on a quiet street at Hihi. Easy care, extra hot in the sun, lots of comfort. Excellent communication from a great host.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

This is such a lovely place to stay. So central and easy to walk all around Piahia. Place was beautifully presented, beds were very comfortable. We had a great time and my girls were sad when it was time to go home.

This was such an incredible retreat spot! Very secluded, with one of the most breathtaking views of Te Ngaere Bay! Our favorite part was the open-air option to enjoy cooking & dining inside while being outside. Very clean, modern & incredible espresso machine to enjoy cappuccinos with the epic sunrise! We also found it nice to have your own trail down to the beach & private plunge pool. Be prepared for a climb back up for some good exercise! Worth it… especially when you can take a nice cold (or hot) outdoor shower! Great communication & care from Kas & Rhys- they are awesome hosts!

Wow, we have truly enjoyed staying at Clive’s beautiful home, located on a gorgeous beach. The location was phenomenal, steps away from the beach with amazing views of the water and sunsets. The home is equipped with all the necessities, very spacious yet cozy, the floor to ceiling windows provide the best views from the living room and kitchen. We are already looking forward to coming back, we had such a wonderful experience.

The most serene beautiful location. Felt like a million miles from anywhere but best brekkie and coffee just steps from the door and a general store a couple of minutes away with everything you could need. Bed to die for, luxury linens and towels. Possibly the cleanest place EVER. thank you gavin, a perfect stay in a beautiful location.

By far, the best airbnb experience we’ve ever had! My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and everything was perfect, we felt so comfortable and at home at the place. Wendy went above and beyond, and made it extra special by picking up flowers so I could surprise my wife upon arrival. The place is beautiful, with amazing views and Wendy and Mike were fantastic hosts. They were so helpful and welcoming to us. And last but not least, the fresh baked bread each morning was delicious! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend them to anyone staying in the area.

Katrina’s place was situated in a very private setting. Beautifully landscaped. Check in was a breeze. Perfect set up for a family of four (or 5) given the bedrooms were on two different levels and each bedroom was equipped with a full bathroom. The place has a stunning view of the water from the living room, patio, and both bedrooms. The car ferry to Russell is only a 5 minute drive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Absolutely stunning Airbnb, one of if not the best we’ve ever stayed in (we’re doing a round the world trip so have stayed in a lot by now)! It was absolutely pristine, we felt like we were checking into a 5* hotel with the quality of the beds, linens, towels etc. It is genuinely nicer than the photos and more spacious, and it was so appreciated that Anita had some provisions and snacks like milk, chocolates, crisps and fruit there for us when we arrived. Anita is lovely and so friendly! She kindly greeted us at check in, showed us around and how everything works, and gave us some fantastic local recommendations which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the coastal trail to Paihia and getting the car ferry across the bay to go to Russell. The views over the bay, watching the boats come and go, are stunning. We didn’t use the BBQ that’s on the balcony but would have if we’d stayed longer, which I wish we had! Overall we couldn’t fault this place, and HIGHLY recommend staying

What a beautiful location and fantastic AirBnB! The views from the property are stunning and the place itself is very private. The grounds are just amazing. Short walk to the private beach with access to kayaks and SUPs was a massive plus. Although we got hit by cyclone Tam during our stay this was a very cosy place to ride it out and Lisa was always responsive and helpful with questions. Would definitely recommend!
