Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. Perfect for a getaway all year round with outdoor areas and BBQ, large windows and an indoor, double-sided fireplace. Soothing Riverside Cabin, Taumarunui

No cleaning fee. The cabin is a bedroom with the toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning or maybe sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a refreshing swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

I have stayed several times now and it is the best value for money Airbnb in town. The beds are very comfortable and it is very quiet. A good functional kitchen with every you need. My golfing friends joined me and said that the course in town is awesome and highly recommend playing golf down here. National Park in easy reach and check out the Butcher in town. The best every lamb chops.

This home is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible. The design and comfort are top notch. We enjoyed the walking track and found everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Loved the attention to detail—down to the custom-labeled light switch icons. We hope to visit again soon.

Really nice spot! Beautiful river location, early June so we spend most of the evening next to the awesome fire and cooked our dinner on there too. So cosy, loads on blankets shower was really cool. River was beautiful and bed was very comfy. Treasure hunt was an unexpected gem! And soo good to have a simple but perfect breakfast
