Vacation rentals with a kayak in Nevada County

Alice's house is stunning. Our group (2 families of 4) had plenty of space. Everything was spotless and the house was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed the hot tub! Communication with the host was fast and easy and she was very responsive. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is an absolute gem! We fell in love with the house right after our arrival. Design is amazing and everything in the cabin make you feel home and relaxed. Ryan, you were awesome aboslutely in everything and we thank you for making our stay unforgetable. We definitely will come back!!!

The cabin near Scott’s Flat Lake was lovely and very relaxing during our weekend trip. The cabin is well appointed and decorated with a modern touch. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck by the gas fire pit at night. The cabin is close to the Cascade Shores launch ramp and trail to the beach. We brought our inflatable SUP down and enjoyed a relaxing lakeside day. The location and the cabin were amazing. Highly recommend!

This place was perfect for our gathering! We had about 13 folks joining us for a 2 night stay. The home is large and spacious with an awesome porch to chill on amongst the trees. The home is on the lake, just a steep and short hike down to a “beach”. The beachside is quite rocky and uneven. You definitely need ample chairs to enjoy it. There is a cove with softer ground, but the water level at the time we went was so low that it was too muddy to set up on. The host informed us that this is new - only in the past couple of years has the water level been affected by PG&E. The water was very muddy due to this. Overall the home was cozy and beautiful. For the area and how far from town you are it’s a bit pricey, but the lakeside views make it worth it. The instructions are laid out very clearly but there are multiple places to check for instructions and check out procedures. Be sure to look at them all because we found that not all of them list the same rules with the same detail.

Wow Wow Wow!!! The view and grounds are amazing! The beds are all very comfortable and the linens are super soft. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware which made dinners easy. Plenty of seating and tables for all 8 of us. Bathrooms are updated with all of the amenities. The outdoor area was our favorite. They have many outdoor option’s when it comes to seating. Couches, lounges, chairs, beautiful large grass area, not to mention the kayaks, paddle boards and tubes. Steve and Sachie’s place is conveniently located to many of the surrounding cities. Our favorite restaurant was a very short drive and so delicious. Twelve 28 Kitchen will not disappoint. I have to end this review with Wow the view is amazing from this home. Excellent place for three families to stay while in town for a wedding! Close to town, yet peaceful! Great for kiddos lots of books and toys for them to explore. Great outdoor space and eat to access with lock box check in and out. The only negative were had were the back room and bedroom were very warm but we also had exceptional hot weather! We had plenty of room to sprawl out. Fully stocked kitchen was very helpful. Comfy beds and loved they had a pack and play ready for us 😊 would definitely start again when we’re in the area! A nice place for a group (we had 9) and it was plenty of room, had things for us to do at the house, and was a good location.

Steven was very friendly, easy to reach and fast responses. The cabin is quaint and comfortable, if the couch was a bit bigger might be more comfortable. The kitchen was perfect and being that we stayed in for dinners was fantastic, the stove and hood system was amazing! Loved the bedrooms in the upstairs loft, super cozy and comfortable. Would absolutely return and appreciate Steven's communication and overall positive approach!

Marinas place is a Great serene lakes cabin. Good vibes and super tidy decor and amenities. Top notch kitchen. Lovely great room with cozy fireplace. Helpful friendly host and clear instructions to make the most of the stay.

Brian and Jill were awesome! We loved our stay here and we would highly recommend this cabin. They had kayaks that we could use and the cabin is just a short walk (< 2 minutes) from the lake. Even though they were travelling out of country, they were very responsive to our questions and attentive to our needs during our stay. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay in Nevada City. The rooms are perfect and comfortable for 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids). Stayed here in June 2025.

Great stay. This was a three generation ski trip, oldest 71, and youngest 3! We all had a great time. Bill was very flexible on dates. Due to snow storms ski area kept changing dates they would be open. Bill was very flexible of these needs. The kitchen is amazing, well stocked with any tool or type of dish you needed. We appreciated the plastic cups for 3 year old. We hope to rent there again next year and keep the kids on the slopes!

Kody's place is SO nice. The setting is breathtaking. His house is so nicely decorated with things that just fit. We had such a wonderful time there. It was comfortable, it was QUIET. The kitchen had everything we could have needed and then some. Night time was amazing with the stars. I've never seen The Big Dipper SO BIG! His attention to detail inside and outside was OBVIOUS. He loves his place and it shows. Lots of parking and outdoor areas to "treasure hunt". I'd walk around and find new "treasures" in so many places each time. One of the BEST places we've stayed in. He is an excellent caretaker of his "bit of earth". Thank you Kody for sharing your home with us.

We stayed with family and our pet dog at Meg's place recently. Our experience was nothing short of magical. The cabin is so beautiful and cozy. Meg & Hadi made sure we have everything we need to make our stay comfortable is available in the cabin. They went above and beyond by ensuring we do not have to spend time doing dishes (disposable/compostable everything), looking for basic groceries, drinks etc. Our fridge was stocked with sauces, jams, sodas and more. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and dry groceries + spices. Anything you need or ask for, is right there, labeled and easy to access. The location is perfect and short walk from a quiet beach nearby. They gave us ample recommendations on kids-friendly places and shared detailed guidance to nearby beaches, places to see. We highly recommend this place and the hosts if you are planning a trip to Tahoe. I think we have found our favorite place to stay at Tahoe and we look forward to more vacations there.
