Originally built as The Buckley Hotel, this historic building has been brought back to life. While retaining the features that makes this home so beautiful and reflective of its time, we have brought in modern amenities that insure a comfortable stay while in the heart of Excelsior Springs. This place is so perfect if you are visiting town as it's steps from shopping, eating and landmarks. Games and cards in bedroom closet. Stocked kitchen with spices- blender-instant pot-crock pot-toaster. 30 minutes from Downtown KC and 20 minutes from Kauffman Stadium. A wonderful family place, not a party place.

Jennifer’s place was in the perfect location. Small town. Beautiful neighborhood. But close enough to Kansas City’s attractions. Comfy bed! Private back porch for a nice morning coffee. And plenty to eat within walking distance. We will definitely be back. Jennifer added so many special treats to the place that we could stay a week and enjoy every minute.

Rebecca’s cottage is indeed a tiny house, but it had everything I needed for a three day quilting retreat including space to set up my sewing machine. Although there is sleeping accommodation in the loft, I didn’t use that because of the ladder used to access. The daybed on the main floor was very comfortable for sleeping. The cottage is set back from a county highway. During the day there was a fair amount of traffic, but very quiet at night. Kingston is a very small community with few amenities that I could see other than a coffee shop. Nearby Polo had a grocery and at least one restaurant. A bit farther, but easily reached, Hamilton has several restaurants plus many quilt shops. I highly recommend the Quilter’s Retreat and would stay there again.

This was a beautiful and relaxing country setting, and easy to get to off a main highway. The hosts were very responsive and kind. It is connected to the owner’s home, and sounds travel through the walls pretty much. It was not loud or a problem, though. They have a beautiful sun porch that I didn’t have time to enjoy, but it sure looked inviting. It really is a beautiful and peaceful setting. There are small towns with good food options, the closest being 9 minutes away. I would definitely book again!

I stayed at the Overnighter after attending a wedding in Hamilton, and it was the perfect place! The home was very clean, and I enjoyed the great-smelling hand soap, shampoo, shower gel, and body scrub that were provided. The delicious scones and tea were a lovely touch. A great stay overall!
