Tokami House

ArthurRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
When entered the place all of our group of 7 people were amazed. The house was huuuuge!! It took some time to explore every single room, where each had its unique vibe. All of us were wishing to stay here a couple of nights, since place and the area offers everything we needed. The place had wide rooms with sofas, chairs tatami mats so we could actually have drinks and have great talks with our large group. Each of us got his huge private room, where each room offered some unique experience- books, guitars, vinyl music player, board games, TV, Japanese old style room and much more. This place exceeded all our expectations, and if will come to Matsue again, will definitely stay there more nights . Thank you Daniel for great hospitality!
A spacious bedroom features two low-profile bedding setups on tatami mats, accented by traditional shoji screens. Natural light filters through multiple windows, providing views of the surrounding greenery. A minimalist ceiling fixture is positioned centrally above the sleeping area.

Reset your mind in overwhelming nature. Experience the best workation in an old house where ideas are born.

I stayed one night on May 10-11, 2025. For a reasonable price, it had all the necessary items, and I was very satisfied. There is a desk for work, so I was able to work, and I was able to BBQ, so I had a relaxing time in the middle of nature. There are many hot springs nearby, so the bath is also fine. I'd like to stay again next time. For those who will stay in the future Present BBQ stove Gloves Igniters BBQ chairs Seasonings (salt, sugar, etc.) - Towels Shampoo, body soap, and rinse Coffee beans, mils Things to note The nearest supermarket is A-COOP, but it closes around 6 pm, so it's a good idea to shop early. There may be no towels or soap at the nearby hot spring. It's deep in the mountains, so it's cold in the morning and at night. (This time) This place is recommended for retreats, training, families, and various other people!
A traditional Japanese lantern stands on the floor, showcasing an intricate design of floral patterns against a soft light. The lantern's materials combine fabric and wire, creating a unique shape that enhances the room's ambiance. The tatami mat provides a natural base beneath.

Enjoy Japanese countryside! Beachfront cottage

JackelineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Tomoko is a super friendly host! She was always responsive and helpful with clear instructions, as well as welling to assist with local delivery! And her place is gorgeous! Surrounded by breathtaking views and very well maintained interior rooms. We have originally planned to watch the sunset in a local tourist spot (宍道湖夕陽), however we found that the sunset from the balcony is even greater and so that we gave up the original plan and enjoyed the view from balcony instead!!!! Highly recommend Tomoko’s place, literally nothing I could asked for more! Really appreciate for providing such amazing place to the world explorers again! Hopefully able to find time to stay at your place again in the future!!!

The space was wonderful and 5mins from the airport! The hosts were so thoughtful, they had children toys and amenities put and ready for us.
The panoramic view showcases snow-capped mountains under a clear blue sky, framed by vibrant autumn foliage in warm hues. The contrast between the crisp white peaks and the colorful trees creates a serene natural landscape.

Live like a small house by the sea in a quiet seaside uminoie Mousska

NongporncRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We truly enjoyed our stay here! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. It felt just like home. The beach is right across the street, and the host’s café behind the house is absolutely charming (open Fri–Sun). We wish it had been open during our stay! The area is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing with family. There are several cute cafes and local restaurants nearby, though most close around 5 PM. One special thing was teaching our kids how to sort waste the Japanese way — such a meaningful experience! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel like we were visiting family. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a warm, peaceful stay with a personal touch. We’d love to come back again!
