Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Nags Head

We had a wonderful week at Diane’s house. She answered any questions we had quickly and we felt right at home. The house is in a great location. It’s in walking distance to so many places- the outlets, the beach, the sound, restaurants and stores. Jennette’s pier is close by for fishing. We would definitely recommend Diane and her beautiful home!

We loved that we were able to walk to the beach and to the bay. Also loved the beach parking pass to give us the option to drive to the beach. We used the beach chairs, boogie boards and bicycles and all of them were fantastic! Very comfortable house, felt right at home there. Perfect house for a family to use. Also very helpful that Target, Publix and tons of restaurants were very close.

I spent a weekend at this rental with my husband and 2 kids (5, 3yrs old). It was absolutely better than expected. The home was clean and well stocked. I’ve stayed at many other rentals in OBX through various platforms and this has been my favorite one yet. The house was super clean and nicely updated. The furniture was comfortable and practical. The dining chairs were easily wiped clean which was nice especially traveling with little kids. I wasn’t expecting to use the Colington Harbour amenities, but that ended up being a big hit with the family. It was really nice hitting up the pool in the evening after spending the entire morning at the beach. The kids loved watching the boats come in. The host Dana also was very responsive. If it’s available for our next OBX trip then we will for sure be back!

We loved our stay in Southern Shores. This house was nice and clean when we got there—with fresh flowers even! It was an easy walk to the beach, even with kids and was also a plus to have an awesome ice cream shop so close! The pool and spa were perfect—we really enjoyed the privacy fence—felt like our own little oasis. I love the central location. It made it easy to visit so many places in OBX, like Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Duck and even Corolla. Everything was well stocked and we so appreciated the beach cart! Would definitely stay with Mary and Andy again.

My family and I loved staying here. Very easy walk to the beach close to any shop and restaurant you could need. The kitchens and bathrooms were spotless and had all you needed. Would love to stay here again!

Our stay was wonderful! Jenna’s place was extremely clean and in the perfect location. We drove to the beach everyday and never had a problem getting a parking spot at the public beach access. The kitchen also had everything we needed for cooking which was an added plus. Would definitely stay again!

The house was in a great area, really close to the beach and really spacious. Our hosts were really kind and responsive to anything we needed. I would definitely come back and stay.

A wonderful place for my husband and I to stay! RIGHT on the beach. House was exactly as described and matched the pictures. Bobbie was extremely helpful with the check in/out process. We arrived very late at night and they had the house unlocked for us to ease the process. My family has been vacationing in Nags Head for decades and this is definitely somewhere we will be adding to our rental list! The only thing I would add is maybe some board games/cards. We had a full day of thunderstorms with not a whole lot to do. Wonderful stay!

Great location and wonderful yard for a pet owner. Felt very secure and the hot tub and fire pit perfect touches to enjoy time outside. The bedrooms were comfy and private. We loved being able to walk to the beach and restaurants. Definitely would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay! Rona was the most responsive host I’ve ever had. Lots of stuff for kids to do at the house. All we needed for a great OBX vaca for our family of 4 and pup

Very secluded and peaceful. Wish the weather had been better throughout our stay but it was very nice to wake up to the sound of the waves and nature. I will say if you have a toddler to make sure to take a safety gate. He made it a challenge wanting to climb the stairs so we went out to buy some for our stay. WiFi is spotty (which is a good thing) but I didn’t realize none of my messages were sent until this morning. My husband and son enjoyed some fishing and caught a few stingrays. I would love to go back later in the year.

Beautiful home with a super short walk to the beach. The walk to the beach is closer than appears in the photos. My teens had a blast! The co-hosts were very responsive. We were sad to leave.

Scouting Waves is a lovely spot and Natalie is an ideal host! This is a newly renovated property that offers a great layout for guests and families traveling together. The house is comfy and pool is delightful. I suspect we are one of few guests who’ve stayed at Scouting Waves since the renovation, and while there could have been more dining seating and a *front and center* info sheet, my interactions with Natalie were so pleasant and prompt and she offered immediate solutions! We had a lovely getaway to OBX and Natalie and Scouting Waves offered such a warm welcome! We’ll be back for another visit in the future!

This was a great location and the place was absolutely adorable! You can see the beach from the porch and enjoy coffee in the am!Communication was very easy and they were super friendly! The beds were very comfy and enjoyed the hammocks and hot tub. The best part for us was being able to see/hear the beach and how close the walk to the beach was. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Great place at Nags Head and convenient to area attractions yet in a quite private setting. The house is in great condition and is as described.

My family enjoyed the space. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was very clean and gave us a great place to rest or escape the sun. The host had beach chairs and toys in the garage which was a nice surprise. Also between communications over the app and the house book we never had to worry about local recommendations. It was a slam dunk for us!

We greatly enjoyed our weekend stay at the bungalow. Michael was extremely helpful and communicated leading up and during our stay. The screened in porch was our favorite part, it was the perfect spot to relax even when it rained since you could still enjoy being outside. We would highly recommend this place, we had an amazing weekend!

Beautiful home and just steps to the beach. We would rebook in a heartbeat! Brittany was very responsive and her home policies were fair and simple.

We really like this house and it is a quick drive to beach access. Quiet neighborhood, kids road the bikes provided to Wright brothers memorial, peaceful area for a run and could see the sound side during our run. Enjoyed the backyard fire pit. Living room area was very comfortable. Loved the porch for relaxing. The only downside was the beds are very noisy. I think the box springs are the only problem. But this didn’t ruin our time. We really liked it is pet friendly. And that linens and towels were provided. The kitchen is very well stocked and Food lion was right down the road for groceries. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location on a quiet dead end street! Just a short walk to the beach all while being surrounded by other wildlife (deer, bunnies, turtles). It’s the best of both worlds! The area is perfect. Not too crowded but if you want to shop or eat, everything is just a short drive away. The kitchen cookware, stove and beach chairs could use updating but definitely not a reason to not stay here. We will definitely be back as our family and pup had a great time! Host was very responsive and friendly!

Just a few steps from the beach, this place was the PERFECT stay for our little group. Four adults, a toddler, an infant, and a dog all stayed and we weren’t over crowded at all. The tile floors make clean up super easy and it’s within walking distance of multiple restaurants. We would love to stay here again on our next trip!

Great location, only a five minute walk to the beach and you can hear the waves while sitting on the top deck. The house had everything we needed. It was perfectly decorated and very comfortable for lounging after the day's adventures. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our family with dogs, and included a picnic table next to the grill which was perfect for seafood eating. Bikes were great and many other beach necessities for the summer months. Brian provided very detailed instructions and suggestions for restaurants and more. Great place!

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!
