Everything was great! Beautifully spacious and clean. The jacuzzi is beautiful with the view, which is generally great to enjoy the sunset on the balcony. Really great for a few days, otherwise it could be uncomfortable with the wardrobe in the corner and the small sink. The first night was unfortunately not so good because you did not know how the jacuzzi works, but then everything was good. Bed also super comfortable! Very nice quiet surroundings in the village with animals as neighbors

A very nice place with an insanely beautiful view of the sea, the bay of Plakias, beautiful. It was very quiet. It was cleaned every day, great service. It was only a few minutes by car to Plakias. The place was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommend.

Maria was a great host. The air bnb and the view is fantastic. Close to amenities. However, a car is definitely needed to get out of the village!

Firstly Lena made this stay so comfortable and easy, she went above what she needed to and it was so helpful as we were checking in at 1am. The directions were easy and the old town felt super safe to navigate through Secondly the accommodation, I gasped when I walked in, it was so beautiful. The highest ceilings with exposed brick, beautifully clean with water in the fridge, toast, jam, coffee and tea as well as all the usual amenities. Side note - insanely great double glazing to block the noise out! You couldn’t hear anything disturbing (you can hear a bit but nothing extreme, which is crazy as when you open the doors it’s very noisy) Thank you again Lena. For your accommodation as well as the time you took to provide us with instructions, knowing we were arriving so late at night/early in the morning

We loved our four days in this lovely apartment in Rodovani! Manos met us when we arrived, left us an array of fruit, coffee, tea, bread, and other treats — and was a terrific and cheerful communicator during our stay.

Fantastic place in a perfect location, with the best view terrace in Matala! We loved it! A couple of things to note from previous reviews: The indoors are cozy, perfect for a couple, but you will be spending your time on the very spacious terrace overlooking the water across to the caves. Amazing! There is no kitchen, just a fridge and hot plate, but the town is full of great and affordable restaurants. Yum! There is music below at night, but it is not too loud or "thumpy," and we slept comfortably with the windows open listening to the music mix with the waves. Lovely! If you are thinking of just day-tripping to Matala, I urge you to think again because the night life is a big part of the fun. And George's place is perfect to enjoy it. Built into the hillside, giving the feel of the hippie caves but with the luxury of a comfy bed and bathroom--and that terrace!--we couldn't be happier with our choice. If you have a hippie soul, you will love charming Matala. Efcharisto, George!

This was one of the nicest AirBnB apartments I have rented. What was responsive to questions prior to the trip, arranging taxi service from the airport. Even though our flight was two hours late and we didn't arrive until 10 pm she was there to greet us and show us the apartment. Her restaurant recommendations were outstanding. Finally, the location on the outskirts of Old Town Rethymno could not have been better. I enthusiastically recommend this place!

Wow! Artemis is such a thoughtful host. The property is peaceful and beautiful. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy Crete and the Mediterranean. Our apartment was cleaned every weekday; that was a bonus!

Absolutely fabulous. Iwona’s apartment was better than we expected. The rooms were spotless, the a/c in the bedroom was cool, the shower was hot, the kitchen was well stocked and modern. The gardens were beautiful, the pool just right and the surrounding area is tranquil. The air in the mountains and the water from the taps is soft. The sun shone for our entire stay and the local cafe on the crossroads was perfect for a cold beer or a glass of something stronger... Friendly locals, hidden beaches and well stocked shops. Just watch out for the walk up Cardiac Hill.

We fell in love with this apartment and Manos hospitality five years ago and came back 6 times since then. Already booked the next stay before we left. We had a wonderful time at Aggeliki’s home by the sea. With a beautiful, private location and comfy bed, we felt at ease from the moment we arrived. An extremely simple check in, directions of where to park our hire car, and support in booking taxi’s throughout our trip. The location is walkable (20 mins) to the rest of Chania, and we enjoyed exploring the Tanneries/ local neighbourhood.

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

Chrysa is a very friendly and helpful host. She answered all our questions very fast. The apartment was very clean and just like in the pictures. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

The space was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. We especially loved the large deck—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or dining outdoors. The location is great, with a wonderful bakery and market just a short walk away. You’ll need a car to explore the town and surrounding area, but everything is within a short, easy drive. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, sharing great tips and insights about the area. They also took the time to share aspects of the local culture, which made our stay feel even more special. We were lucky to be in Rethymno over Easter—it was an unforgettable experience!

Mike was great from the start…we booked last minute and he texted me immediately. He made everything very easy and was extremely friendly when we got there to check in. He showed us everything about the apartment that we needed to know and gave us lots of tips on where to go to eat and to see the best sites. The rooftop space was beautiful and the apartment was very close to everything in the area… We were able to walk to everything! I would definitely recommend staying there… Thank you, Mike!

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Beautiful place and great host

Andreas was a friendly and responsive host who answered our questions promptly. The flat was well equipped and in an excellent location very close to the old town. We would definitely stay again when next back in Chania!
