A lovely hiking trail is just up the hill past St. Patrick's Church. Located in the village of New Quay on the scenic Wild Atlantic Way, we are on the route to Ballyvaughan and the Ciffs of Moher. (A car is necessary - we are in a very beautiful rural area with very limited public transport.)

Martin ws very friendly and made breakfast every morning. The house was very centrally located yet still located in a quiet neighborhood. If you consider going to Galway it’s the perfect location for anyone.

The modern bathroom features a walk-in shower with glass panels and a sleek design. A white vanity sink with a large mirror is positioned next to a window, allowing natural light. Decorative yellow flowers add a touch of brightness to the space.

Linda’s place was fantastic, newly renovated, clean and with a parking just in front, within walking distance of everything. Linda is a fantastic host. She helped us find parking and reminded us to make diner reservations. She was available for questions, very responsive and kind. We found the location very noisy because it’s located at the heart of Galway and the nightlife in the city is bustling no matter the day of the week. Locals and tourists alike can be a loud bunch so don’t forget your earplugs ;) Especially on Friday night, my partner only slept four hours because of street noise. Nothing our host can do about it but it’s worth knowing.

We enjoyed our 2 nights at Rosalie 's. The house is in a very quiet environnement and that was exactly what we were looking for. Rosalie is very welcoming and friendly and she gave us useful information for our stay.

Staying here was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The moment we drove through the gates, our jaws literally dropped—the castle is absolutely breathtaking in person! From start to finish, everything about our stay was magical. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, and even gave us a personal tour of the castle grounds after a delicious breakfast. Our room was immaculate, cozy, and full of charm—we loved every second of it. As an added bonus, we were greeted by their adorable local cat, Elizabeth, who instantly made us feel at home. The location is also fantastic—just a short walk to several great restaurants, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local cuisine without needing to drive. I can’t recommend this place enough, 10/10!

The room was exactly as described and it’s in a great location just a short walk from the main Salthill road. A really great base for exploring Salthill and easy to get into Galway from too via bus or taxi. JJ and Mary couldn’t have been better hosts! Their hospitality was second to none and they were so kind in preparing breakfast and make sure I had anything I needed. The room was comfortable and clean and felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely bnb!
