Little Cottage A rustic converted granite dairy

ErmirRating, 5 starstoday
If you saw this place in a movie, you'd think that it's too pretty to be real. But it's even better in person. The cottage is pure magic, and it is made a thousand times better by the Belle's warm hospitality. Visit the spots in Belle's guide, meet the lovely people in the surrounding towns, hike your heart out, or do none of it and enjoy the peace and comfort of the cottage - the path you chose is the right one.

Aunty Shea's Getaway

IngridRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay! Close enough to Kilkenny center. The place was clean, comfortable and Therese was super sweet to leave us milk, eggs, butter and bread (additionally to all the basics in the kitchen). She is extremely responsive, attentive, and caring and her hubby and kids are wonderful too! We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you again!!

The Stables Kilcoltrim Kilkenny, Ireland

FionaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fabulous few days staying at The Stables. Breda and Joe have a lovely country property. We love the goodie left for us from Breda. Scones and bread both home made. The cottage is so well equipped with most things you’d need to get by but a Centra only a few minutes away has lots of options. The bed was so comfortable as were the pillows and the fluffiest feather doona. The cottage is heated but we felt we didn’t need heating on as it’s very warm inside anyway but great if it turns cold. A bonus is the washer and dryer, we’d not been able to wash for several day so felt like all home comforts were covered. We loved the kitchen and dining area, great for preparing our meals. Breda has a vegetable and herb garden which she was happy for us to use, I made good use of salad stuff and herb. We got to meet Joe who was brings the horses back into the sheds, we got to see an 8 day old foal, such a highlight for me coming from Australia’s beach scene. We highly this place Fiona

Charming 15th Century Castle

ChristopherRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a unique experience to stay in a castle tower in Ireland that has been restored so well. It brought history to life for us. We sat in the great room with the fire place on , and read about the history of the property and talked about the events of the day.. Phillip met us on arrival and we had a very pleasant chat, where he filled us in on the history. Alison and Philip clearly love their property and provide lots of detailed instructions on how to get the best use of it. Our kids had an amazing experience here going up to the top battlements and looking out, picking their rooms and surveying the murder holes and jail cells. As to be expected the stairs require some care, but any reasonably fit people can negotiate them with ease. The beds are very comfortable and the electric blankets allow for great sleep without being cold. The kitchen is very functional and we felt very medieval having dinner in the dining room.. It was a wonderful experience for our family

Calm waters of the bay reflect the blue sky, with rocky formations emerging from the water's edge. A bright kayak rests on the sandy shore, while a distant lighthouse and green hills provide a tranquil backdrop.

We had an amazing stay here! Beautiful views from the pod and a great walking trail just a minute down the road. We had dinner at Bulmans and it was excellent and so close! Daragh was very friendly and welcoming. The place was very clean with fresh bread and milk when we arrived. Would absolutely stay again!

Tubbrid Castle: Your 15th-Century Irish Castle

JessicaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
What an amazing stay! This was a true highlight of our trip, and such a unique experience. John was responsive and helpful, and his mother Helen came by to welcome us and check in after we had settled, and she was lovely to chat with and gave us a great recommendation for a nearby hike. We lucked out with great weather, but even if it had rained I think we would have enjoyed ourselves, cozy by the fire. I cannot recommend this enough - we loved it. Even just going for evening walks along the road we would occasionally look up and say "oh there's our castle!". The 12-year-old was in heaven. A couple of the appliances have some tricks to them but John's instructions were clear and thorough.

The place was absolutely stunning! We felt like a king and queen staying here and really enjoyed the decor and ambiance after a long day of exploring. The local monastery ruins are beautiful and the pub down the street had some friendly locals and delicious pizza. Thank you for hosting us!
