Red Star Retreat-Mins to all in the Wht. Mts.

KaranRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The red star was a cozy and cute place with great character and felt very homely. We loved the fire place outside, kitchen was well stocked and had clean appliances. It’s close to Lincoln and Littleton, so short drives to all of the activities we had planned but far from all the tourist traffic. Julia was super helpful and responsive, which made the stay felt welcoming. The red star inn is in the backyard of the main house and felt slightly too close to the main house to feel a lot of privacy. It can get really bright in the mornings, I recommend carrying an eye mask. There is no A/C, however it gets cold if you open some of the windows and it has heating which helped. Non of these were dealbreakers, we had an amazing time on our trip and we had a hard time saying good bye to the place.

Handcrafted A-Frame near Newfound Lake & Hiking

DebRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was such a wonderful place for a contemplative solo retreat. I had a lovely quiet time meditating, reading, taking in the forest, and even got a nighttime peek at the Strawberry Moon from the window that shines into the treehouse-like loft bed. I’m glad I got to say hi to Maple too, what a cute dog! Terry, Derrick, and Joe were wonderful communicators. I felt very safe and at ease with them as hosts. Check out was super easy! So much gratitude for the peaceful stay. Highly recommend. I hope to make it up there again someday :)

The Birches - Riverside Suite with a View

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
As soon as I walked in I knew we had done the right thing by booking this place… and immediately regretted not booking an extra night! The photos don’t capture how calming this place is, the bed is soooo comfortable and you can see right outside surrounded by trees. The river is also just a short walk away and towels are provided for a little dip. We both absolutely loved this place, and it was one of our favourite accommodations on our 10 year anniversary New England road trip! Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality and such a gorgeous little guest suite. It is also located in such a great spot, close to Woodstock and a short drive away from the entrance to White Mountain national forest which we enjoyed exploring. I’m so glad we got to stay here, it was spotlessly clean and I’d 100% recommend anyone considering staying here to look no further!

We so enjoyed the privacy and solitude. Coming from a large city, there is constant noise.

As Unique as they come!

KaylaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay here was great. it was rainy until the morning we checked out, which was a bummer, but the covered hot tub area was used each night instead. the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and basic spices. I brought my own coffee for the Keurig but there was complimentary coffee pods, tea, and hot cocoa available as well. lots of games to play, artwork to look at. the dishwasher is very small so you can't fit much in there but luckily we were only 2 people. the only slight negative was the pellet stove being in the bedroom downstairs, only because of how noisy it is when it's running. it made it near impossible to sleep with it on if you're a light sleeper at all. overall, fantastic stay and thank you so much

I have a wonderful experience! Very clean, organized and private. For me, it was a home away from home.

Cozy Lake Cabin Hike Fish BBQ Kayak Swim FirePit

MattRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Went to visit a friend and had a great stay. The cabins are much bigger on the inside. We only stayed for the weekend, but found that there was plenty to do. The cabin is stocked with games. The lake behind us was warm enough to swim in May! Had it been a little warmer we have taken advantage of all the kayaks that they had on the property. The back porch was a perfect place to have a coffee in the morning and look over the water. The cabinet itself is cozy with sort of a half kitchen and a grill outside. We found it plenty spacious and opted to just stay in the cabin for the night rather than go out and spend money. It suited our needs perfectly and would definitely revisit at a later date.
