It was a very pleasant & wonderful experience staying here. You get the best of both worlds-communing with nature & at the same time not being deprived of amenities that will ensure a comfortable stay. The mattress & bedsheets are luxurious. The bathroom is incredibly beautiful. At night you hear the melodies of the insects & the the sound of water flowing which can lull you to a deep sleep. The owners are very accommodating, warm & friendly. The staff are very courteous & helpful. Highly recommended‼️

As promised... Our second trip to El Oma Lufo was better than our first!  It's hard to put all the adventure into words on a screen.  This time we rented a larger unit and it was AMAZING.  The beds are comfortable. The Jungle is alive! You can see it, feel it and hear it all around you.  I was able to work on my regular schedule with a sim card in a hot spot while sitting on the patio of the Hut, and on the wood furniture around the property.  There are electrical plugs EVERYWHERE! Bring an adapter!   It was almost like we were home this time.  On this trip we took an INCREDIBLE trek into the Jungle...  As if we weren't already in the jungle! 😀 We drove out to the town where Marissa was raised. Then we hiked up a river about a mile to a piece of property they own.  Their staff, mostly family, cooked rice, tuna, pork and tilapia on the spot.  They cooked it with basic tools, pots, over fire that they made themselves.  They have obviously been doing this forever. There was no hesitation, delay or struggle in getting everything burning and cooking.  Cooking rice over a fire in a pot is VERY hard to perfect and they nailed it.  They got big banana leaves for us to eat off of.  They even brewed up coffee for us! Wow.  The scenery is incredible. Marissa's "jungle feet" are wild!  She moves through the rough territory with ease.  We were surrounded by rural farm lands, only farmable with animals like carabao (Water Buffalo).  It is really enlightening to see how these people live happily and healthily off the land.  As soon as it started, we feasted and were heading back. We made it back before dusk.  The trip back was shorter and faster as we traveled over land vs water through the farm lands.  This was like an Eagle Scouts meets Survivor trip. It was so easy and seamless thanks to Wesley and his team.  The Tuna Festival was happening in General Santos, so Wesley took us down and gave us the tour. Tuna is a HUGE export in this area.  It's so fresh and delicious.  We were treated like celebrities! Locals were taking pictures with us and laughing uncontrollably. It was totally adorable. The people are so nice everywhere you go.  Wesley took care of everything and we never had to stress about anything. He really is a pro at this travel thing.  Again we enjoyed the fresh water pool everyday. Home cooked meals. Great conversations and explanations about the environment.  The next excursion was to the 7 Falls. There are 7 waterfalls you can view through a series of trails. 3 of which require you to take a massive zipline far above the canopy of the forest below.  Not only do you get an unobstructed view of the water falls on two consecutive ziplines, you can also see the river below.  The Zipline is stable enough to hold your phone while you do it.  Bring an android! They will download your pictures straight to your phone there.  The girls were able to go together and the pictures were well worth the 200 pesos! 😀 Whew... So much to write. We also went to a couple amazing restaurants where Wesley has a personal relationship with the owner/chef.  We went to the mall and watched a fashion show. We played with the monkeys, goats, and dogs.  We swam more. Ate more. Drank a bit at the Monkey Bar. Toured a wood working area where the furniture is made. We bought a piece that Wesley will get shipped home to us.  And we crashed and landed into our beds...  What else can I write... This was a life changing experience and we are already looking forward to returning again.  Thank you Sir Wesley and Marrissa for your service! Impeccable.

Jeanily’s place was exactly as described in the listing page. We also felt safe as it is located inside a guarded subdivision and also easy to find. Upon entering the place we already felt right at home- the place is clean and well-organized. Amenities like towels, bedroom slippers, toiletries, and drinking water was provided. The location is also near the city center. We are glad we made the right choice and will surely book Jeanily again the next time we are in Gensan.

Wesley was very responsive and helped us to find the place because it is so secluded. He sent out someone to find us and guide us to the house which was very helpful and I would recommend just starting out that way instead of driving around. But once we got there it was incredible! So peaceful and unique. The locals that help out around the area are so kind, helpful and make an amazing breakfast. One even climbed a coconut tree and gave us coconut meat/water with breakfast. Overall 10/10 experience and Wesley was very accommodating to our group and willing to make changes for us as they came up. Such an amazing way to experience the culture in a beautiful location.

El Oma Lufo in Tupi, South Cotabato was an amazing tent experience. From the airport pick up in a beautiful truck to amazing food, pool, and animals! The tent was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and great amenities. We really enjoyed the showers having hot water, and the fresh spring water for drinking and swimming. The location was stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views. There are all types of animals, cows, baby goats, puppies, dogs, chickens, etc. it was so much fun. The hosts were friendly and hospitable, providing recommendations for local activities. They have FANTASTIC local excursions where you can learn about local tribes, farming, life, and history. I highly recommend El Oma Lufo for a top-notch tent experience in a beautiful natural setting. This is the ONLy Glamping you will find out there. It was an unforgettable stay. We have already planned to return next quarter. Salamat Po!!!

Sunrise view hut overlooking the river & farm #3

We took a gamble by travelling to Mindanao but we were well rewarded, thanks Wesley, Marissa, Yan and the rest of the team. The place is simply amazing and very quiet during the weekdays. We enjoyed seeing the goats and chickens roam around during the day. There plenty of nice sitting areas with power sockets. We never felt unsafe but extremely welcome. Locals we always very enthusiastic to meet us and often asked to take a photo with us. Our hosts organised a visit to Marissa's family for a lunch in the jungle. Which was an absolute highlight for us. We tremendously enjoyed the food as well as the nice views and village visit after the meal. We also recommend walking around the area by yourself, including to the small village behind the property. (Follow the river road next to the brick propety wall. The village does not show up on the map.) The waterfall walk that was recommend to us was also worthwhile and Yan was a fantastic guide.
