One out of our five delicately renovated apartments located on the last floor of a charming, characterful farmhouse. It is one of the oldest buildings of a cosy little village in the Valle d’Isarco in Northern Italy. We find ourselves right in the center of sun-blessed South Tyrol, on a hilltop at the entrance of the Gardena and Funes valleys. 100 years old log cabin, which was demolished in the neighboring village in 2008 and rebuilt with us at the organic mountain farm. Special care has been taken to the use of natural building materials (reed, clay plaster, old wood). Traditional larch shingles serve as roofing. The house is heated by a large kitchen stove and a thermal solar system, the bathroom has underfloor heating. The homely small house (75 m²) served us as a residence for 10 years.

Haus Oberpauler Morgenstund

The apartments should be cozy when we decided to renovate our house built in 1848 as a farm in 2016. Since the 1950s, the house has served as accommodation for holiday guests. Due to the partial use of the old wood, we believe we have been able to create the homely atmosphere. From the balcony, the view goes to the west, over Sexten to Innichen and to its local mountain Haunold. In summer, the sunset completes the day.
