Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Montmorency County

Beautiful home and location. We choses the dates to rent this property based a local event. Unfortunately, the cold and rainy typical Michigan May weather did not allow us to really enjoy the amenities of the outside features. The sandy shallow lake bottom certainly looked inviting to wade around on, and the upper porch area seemed like a great place to enjoy the view. The house had a slight problem with a running pump that in no way diminished our stay and was repaired without any inconvenience. We appreciated the clean and well stocked kitchen and full gas grill. The local snacks, and custom koozies were a big hit, and we enjoyed them.

Wonderful stay. A great place to unwind and reset. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

Nothing compares to our stays at Jodie's lake house—this was our 4th consecutive year, and it somehow just keeps getting better. From the moment we walk through the door, it feels less like a vacation rental and more like coming home. There’s not a single touch that’s been missed—from cozy blankets and perfectly stocked kitchen supplies to thoughtful local recommendations and welcoming notes that make you feel like a treasured guest, not just a visitor. Jodie’s hospitality is truly second to none. She’s gracious, responsive, and always seems to know just what we’ll need—even before we do. It’s rare to find a host who makes you feel both completely cared for and totally at ease, but she manages it flawlessly every single time. We’ve made incredible memories with our young children here—fishing on the dock, family dinners on the deck, board games in the dining room on a rainy day. We can’t wait to return next year!

Our group had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Boulan Barn in Lewiston! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful setting and charming design of the barn. It's the perfect mix of rustic and modern—thoughtfully decorated, super clean, and incredibly comfortable. The hosts clearly put a lot of love into making this a special retreat. Every little detail was considered, from the in house games to the well-equipped kitchen. We specifically loved the outdoor area and garage. The location is ideal if you're looking to unplug and relax, but it's also close to trails, lakes, and small-town charm. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommended.

Patricia was a wonderful host. Her home and Little Wolf Lake was more than perfect!! We enjoyed our week there soooo much. And what a great little town. She thought of everything inside and outside the home too. It is beautiful and quite frankly the nicest VRBO we've ever stayed in. A little slice of heaven very peaceful and relaxing there!! We floated in rafts on the water and paddle boated all over the lake. photographed a piliated woodpecker, blue heron, loons and captured a beautiful rainbow over the lake the last night... so stunning!! We will book again. Thanks for the wonderful vacation!!

Debra was wonderful to accommodate our needs to be able to check in and get to our Elk viewing in a timely fashion. House was very clean. The area was beautiful with lots of fresh snow.

Had a great stay at Beth's in the winter. Cool house with lots of space that worked well for our group of 8. We loved the cottage vibe and appreciated all the amenities, kitchen basics, cleanliness, and feeling of home. The record player and great vinyl collection was a fun bonus. We had a bit of an issue with heat during our stay but the wood stove and plentiful dry firewood, kindling, and fire starters kept us warm throughout. Overall it's an amazing property in a great location with excellent hosts! Would definitely stay again!

Jeffrey had accommodated us during our stay by allowing us to pack up things due to a misunderstanding of time frame. We were expecting to be booked later but it ended up being booked for us to leave sooner. He allowed us to get things picked up before leaving. The apartment is in a good area with many walking distance restaurants which make it easy if you don’t want to drive around town. It was very nice staying there and I felt very safe in the apartment complex. There was plenty of cooking supplies which is often a hit or miss with Airbnb’s. It was very child friendly and I felt comfortable letting my one year old go around without being concerned with dangerous things for him to get into.

Very clean, cozy, excellent location, beautiful golf course, great scenery for fall tours. The home is fully equipped, bathrooms very clean, kitchen had everything we needed.

So I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals. This was by far one of my favorites. They literally thought of everything in their design and execution. It was so comfortable and fun - my friends who came with me were utterly charmed. The train motif was fabulous- and the beds were so comfortable. It was so clean and everything smelled new. The private back deck was a wonderful surprise. And the ice cream shop next door with delicious pizza and paninis were next level. The staff were just lovely and treated us like royalty. These are top notch hosts with immediate response. They not only make their guests welcome - they want their guests to feel welcome. I had a lovely time and will plan on staying here in the future. This is a true gem in the north of the lower peninsula. So happy to have a great place to stay so close to family near the island. I give them an A+ rating - well done Troy and Alison!! Hope to see you again soon!

Jeffrey was a great and responsive host! The place was right near a lot of great restaurants and stores downtown Gaylord.

Super clean and appears newly updated. Private and peaceful while still within reasonable distance to downtown Gaylord. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay!

This house was great! It truly had everything you needed and then some! We never know what to expect when we stay at an Airbnb and this was fantastic.

Absolutely loved our stay here. House is beautifully done and very comfortable. Host were amazing in helping us with a late night arrival. We look forward to being able to return in the future.

Beautiful secluded cabin. Haven’t heard whippoorwills sing in the evening like they do here. No traffic sounds, no neighbors, just peaceful quiet cabin. Very clean and well cared for.

It was a great cabin with full of things provide to do to spend the days away from home. Enough to do for days we didnt have plans to enjoy some cards around the open fire or enjoy some time in the hot tub, or have a friendly game of corn hole

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was cozy, peaceful, clean, and just like pictures show. It is tucked away in nature—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It felt like a home away from home. The location is ideal: close to local restaurants, a scenic bike trail, golf, and just a short, easy drive to Petoskey and Boyne City. Our host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and their sweet kids made the experience even more heartwarming. A big highlight was the Vine Ride wine tour—they picked us up right at the cabin and took us to 4 wineries, making it stress-free and memorable outing. Highly recommend this spot for nature lovers or anyone looking to unwind, explore Northern Michigan, and enjoy some great wine along the way! We will definitely come back!
