River Rock Craftsman Bungalow Wetumpka, AL
This was a cute, eclectic and cozy home in downtown Wetumpka. We came for a few days for a high school graduation and it was perfect for our stay. I loved looking at all the different artwork and antiques throughout the home. I would recommend to stay here.

Pool, private, scenic views, convenient, pets ok
My wife and I stayed here during Christmas while visiting family in the area. This was easily one of the nicest / coolest Airbnbs we have ever stayed at. It exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect - private but still close to everything you’ll want to do in Prattville, Millbrook, and Montgomery. It was also tastefully decorated for the holidays, making us feel right at home. We would absolutely stay here again.

Halcyon Oasis Pool+Dog Friendly! Near Eastchase
Pattie-Lane and Brett are fantastic hosts! They were quick to respond to any questions and super friendly. The home is lovely! Very comfortable and the pool is FANTASTIC! Beautiful backyard space that was perfect for spending time with the family. Quiet neighborhood close to lots to do and very easily accessible. My family is looking forward to staying here again soon!

Cozy and Clean - Best located Old Cloverdale 1BR
Really enjoyed our 2 week stay here. The Old Cloverdale area is very charming and walkable; many restaurants and cocktail bars within a short walk. The house was perfect for my wife and I to work from while visiting family in the area. Charles was extremely responsive and the place was exactly like the pictures. The carport was nice as well. Would absolutely stay here again.

"Salem Drive Serenity"
The property is pristine and beautifully decorated and the owners provided clear instructions and expectations. I would definitely book again if I’m ever in the area.

I had a great stay at Chase’s place! The property was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Communication was smooth from start to finish, and Chase was very responsive and accommodating. I especially appreciated the little touches that made the space feel welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this listing to anyone visiting the area and would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Bungalow South: Stylish & Centrally Located!
Hosts were so accommodating to a last minute booking due to overbooking at a hotel (literally booked it past 10pm in a hurry). We were in town for the birth of our first grandchild and had no idea how long we might need to stay. They were accommodating as we extended our stay for the time we needed. The place was clean and cozy! Neighbors were also very nice! We will stay here again if it’s available!

Cozy Home Near DT, AFB, and ASU!
Had a great stay here for a wedding. Everything is as described and the place is very comfortable and in a great location. Thanks for a great weekend!

Dog and Pony Show! Pet Friendly & Military Rate
This is a fantastic location for traveling I65. It has a great backyard for dogs, it’s very homey, cute, comfortable, welcoming and has a spacious living room. Daphne and Summer respond immediately to emails and also informed us of a possible power outage due to severe weather. My husband and I travel from our home in Florida up to our second home in Missouri and this has been our stop for the last few times. Going back in 10 days. This is excellent for the money. It’s a great value especially if you have dogs. There is even a guest Amazon Prime account. You don’t have to go thru the trouble of logging on to yours. If we could give them 10 stars we would.

Lake Jordan Refuge
We cannot express in words how much we loved staying here! We spent a few days at the house unwinding, fishing, playing pool, and grilling. The house is cozy, the beds are comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet. The neighbors were wonderful as well. We were put into contact with Brad at The Pointe and rented a pontoon. Highly recommend getting out on the lake if you have the time. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to return!!

Walking Distance, Pet Friendly, Safe, & Spacious.
Nice, very clean and tidy. I’m town for a funeral so we didn’t get to really get the full affect but very nice and comfortable nonetheless

Home comforts at Hanover Hideaway
The house, yard, and neighborhood were exactly what I was looking for in my quick trip to Montgomery. The hideaway’s yard was great for my dogs and the house was very peaceful.

Nature's Dive
Lots of room for all the family to spread out. Two living areas though the furniture in one was very oversized and plenty of room for us. The house smelled clean and was very cozy. Fans in all the rooms, great AC, tvs worked great. It is an older neighborhood, very quiet.

Your guide to Montgomery
All About Montgomery
Alabama’s state capital, Montgomery, is the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement, and the city has played a crucial role in shaping America. You may immerse yourself in an extensive array of art at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, picnic in the grass at Riverside Park, honor the people who lost their lives at the Civil Rights Memorial Center, or take a riverboat trip on the Alabama River, which weaves along the city’s northwestern border. Places like the Rosa Parks Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice stand as stark reminders of this turbulent time in history.
The renaissance of downtown Montgomery has restored the glory of the city’s early-20th-century architecture, giving the city center a new vibrancy. In the evenings, locals flock to renovated warehouses along the river, now home to bars and live music venues.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Montgomery
With mild temperatures and low humidity, spring and fall are great times to book your vacation rentals in Montgomery, especially if you want to spend your days wandering through the parks as the new foliage erupts or strolling around the city, stopping wherever the mood strikes you. From late May through October, the heat and the humidity rise, sometimes making it hard to stay outside for long and making the prospect of delving into Montgomery’s many museums, cultural attractions, and microbreweries even more enticing. In the winter, the temperature drops into the chilly zones, though snow is rare, so a waterproof and warm layer or two are all you need to explore the city on foot.
Top things to do in Montgomery
Rosa Parks Library and Museum
This fascinating museum tells the story of the Black activist’s life and the Montgomery Bus Boycott she helped kindle. The museum is located at the site where she was arrested in 1955 after refusing to give up her seat on the bus to a white rider. Through a series of multimedia displays, you will learn about the impact that the boycott had on the Civil Rights Movement; you can also see the activist’s fingerprints, taken during her arrest, and a 1950s Montgomery city bus.
Wynton M. Blount Cultural Park
This expansive park offers miles of walking trails, serene ponds, and two of Montgomery’s most beloved cultural institutions, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The immaculately maintained grounds are a popular spot for exercising, picnicking, or relaxing in the warm Alabama sunshine.
Dr. Martin Luther King Home
Formally known as the Dexter Parsonage Museum, this restored home turned museum is a National Historic Landmark. The Civil Rights leader and his family lived here during the 1950s. The house survived multiple bombings in the 1960s, and today, it gives visitors a glimpse into what life was like for the reverend and his family during the Civil Rights era.
