April 2, 2025: We have closed reservations on this house for the next several months as we do a major remodel. When it is finished we will have two bedrooms, full kitchen, and be completely handicapped friendly. -Dave My mother built this as her retirement house. She wanted a cozy, comfortable, house with a beautiful view. Wood floors, fireplace with firewood provided for the chilly Monteverde nights, beautiful windows so that you are looking down on the tops of the trees in the river gorge.

Surrounded by the forest the house is set off the ground and has huge windows to give it spectacular views of the forest canopy and Nicoya Gulf. The large rooms and Queen size beds provide comfort, all the essentials plus more are provided. Located close to town but extremely private it is ideal as a base to enjoy all of Monteverdes attractions and is an attraction in itself that provides the peace to rest after a full day of activities. Close by restaurants and markets are very convenient.

The Property is close to the town of Santa Elena, about 20 minutes walking or 5 minutes in a vehicle(A car is recommended). Also The Famous Monteverde Cloud forest and most of the tours are located 10 to 20 minutes away. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, Great for families! It has 2 bedroom with King size bed. The home is in the middle of a lush 5+ acre property, which ensures absolute privacy and tranquility. The house is an unforgettable place to stay for couples and families.
