Gorgeous Gite in Dordogne, Private Pool & Fibre

ValerieRating, 5 stars9 months ago
The gite was lovely and Lynn and Nicola were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had to leave after a few days because my elderly husband had banged his head on the low doorway (despite it being labelled as low), stunned him and cut his head open. In view of his history of subdural haematoma this was worrying. And then he missed the low step into the bedroom and went flying, injuring his hand and chin. We thought it too risky to stay on but this was our problem, not the gite's. We were really sorry to have to leave. The garden was ideal for our dogs. The neighbourhood was pretty, and historic with some nice walks. We enjoyed exploring the countryside. We would not hesitate to recommend the gite although perhaps not so much for people with limited mobility.
The living area features a large stone fireplace, serving as a focal point. Two armchairs are positioned around a small table on a patterned rug. Natural light enters through a window adorned with burgundy curtains, while a floor lamp provides additional lighting.

Le Grenier, charming cottage

NicolasRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We were warmly welcomed by Caroline, she was attentive to our well-being and comfort throughout the week. When we arrived, we found something to “eat and drink” which made it very easy for us to start our stay. The level of equipment is higher than what is advertised: large bath towels + fluffy pool towels, coffee pods, full breakfast, herbal teas and tea, comfortable garden and rest furniture, large private garden. To watch the Olympics, the big screen was perfect! The pool area is particularly nice and well done, the layout is very relaxing. The spaces for the different homes are distinct and allow everyone's privacy. We leave with fond memories of each place we enjoyed at Caroline's

La Tour Carrée de Nontron, sleeps 12

JulietteRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Olivier is a responsive and welcoming host, the Tour Carré is a charming cottage ideal for a weekend with friends. We were 3 families, we each had a floor with bathroom and toilet. The common areas are very pleasant from the living room dining room, not to mention the roof top with exceptional views and the garden: a real gem!!!
A large glass door offers a view of rolling green hills from inside the living area. A small outdoor table and two chairs are positioned on the wooden terrace, bathed in natural light. A comfortable chair is placed nearby, enhancing the serene setting.

Charming house in a quiet location

MorganeRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a pleasant stay with our 1 year old in this very well-equipped house. It is located in a quiet area, but close enough to many places to visit. We'll be happy to go back.
A spacious outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a serene environment. The water reflects the clear blue sky, while sun loungers are neatly arranged nearby. Mature trees provide shade around the pool area, enhancing the tranquil setting.

Cozy "Petite Maison" next to chateau + pool

Christophe Et AgnèsRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Beautiful place. The pool and park are extremely beautiful. The little house is nice. Beware of the heads! Just a shame that the toilet is in the only small bathroom. A little awkward at 4. The calm and beauty of the landscapes are good. Chairs are missing next to the little house to contemplate from the terrace, the valley. Beautiful towels are widely available and the kitchen is very well equipped. The living room is nice, it lacks a mirror so as not to go up systematically. The only one is in the bathroom. Sloped bathtub, contortions required to wash. We enjoyed the place: Lovely place!
A charming outdoor dining area features a table covered with a light tablecloth, surrounded by bright red and yellow chairs. An umbrella provides shade, while a variety of greenery and plants enhance the setting in a tranquil garden.

The Nest of Condat, Dordogne

Very cozy cottage, quiet, in the countryside but very close to Brantôme. The hosts were very welcoming and nice. We recommend this rental that is aptly named "the Nest"
