Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Minho

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

Marta's place had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable the room was excellent. She provided great hospitality and services. having the eggs, bread, cereal, juice, milk, cheese, butter and jam were an incredible change from the normal Airbnb fare. Having a washer, dryer and drying racks came in very handy as well. we would definitely stay at Marta's again!!

Everything was perfect, Alfredo was very communicative at all times and made check-in and check-out easy for us. In addition, the stay was very comfortable and we were surprised by the wonderful breakfast he provided us.

My parents and I had a great stay. The apartment was spotless and recently renovated. The best thing, without a doubt, was the staff: all super attentive and friendly. The breakfast they offer is very complete, with great variety and delicious homemade pastries. As soon as I have the chance, I'll be back. Thank you very much for everything. — Sergio

Very nice owners who make you feel welcome. We enjoyed the swinningpool and garden. Breakfast was well taken care off. It's in a quiet envirement, but with the car you can go to Ponte de Lima, Braga or Porto. We enjoyed our time here!

Enchanting place. The setting is lovely. The garden calls for relaxation with its many nooks. The bedrooms are in line with this pretty building. What a pleasure!

Amazing 400 year old home, has always been in the family. The outside garden and pool are beautiful and peaceful. Small town near by with good quaint restaurants . About one hour from Douro Valley by a beautiful drive through back country roads. Highly recommend it

Camila and Valentín were lovely to us and treated us as if to make us feel at home. We are pilgrims and they picked us up in the stage that corresponded to us. Very friendly and welcoming, in addition to a beautiful house, highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the hostel and would stay again. It was focused around the surfing in the morning which was great, Marco is a great teacher and you get plenty of time on the waves. Raquel is a lovely host and the food is excellent, there's a bit of a lack of local things to do and places to eat within walking distance but the nearest city isn't too far if you want to explore in the afternoons/evenings. Would totally reccomend the hostel to anyone wanting to learn how to surf, many thanks : )

Very beautiful space and architecture well integrated into the landscape. Be careful with the details and a very comfortable bed. All safety and disinfection equipment prepared and easy to access. The employees, Bruna and Isabel, very friendly and available, always attentive. Communication with Vânia also went very well and I appreciate your attention. Highly recommend!

My stay with Paula was exceptional. I was given a choice of rooms and chose a beautiful room with a view of a river and an old bridge which is now just for pedestrians. The whole building was beautiful, with lots of nice artwork and interesting things about the place. The shower had plenty of hot water and the Wi-Fi work great. There is a nice neighborhood bar and restaurant just a few feet away. Somehow I didn't do too well with the directions. The place is right in the town of Gres and that is not where my GPS took me. but it was well worth the slight hassle to stay in such a nice place.

Casas da Li is a very cozy space, in a mountain village, at 500m altitude and so with fabulous views. Of course, the road is difficult by the curves, but with a good pavement. It's worth it for the contact with nature and the unique views. The facilities are very good, as are the breakfast. It was a good experience.

A 100% recommended site. We've had a quick one night getaway and Miguel has been very attentive since we arrived. Above all we wanted, enjoy and let us not get cold. The house was clean and tidy, everything you can be a rural environment and with wood for all sides. You could use any part of the house. Ten. Thank you so much

One of the most wonderful air bnb experiences ! adorable environment, peaceful and calm. Paula and her husband are amazing hosts, friendly helpful and interesting to talk to ! in my opinion is the perfect way to be close to A Coruña and to the nature at the same time ! totally recommended! ( what a yummy breakfast mmm !! )

it was great! the house is beautiful with very well raised and spacious common areas, kitchen, dining room, garden... and our room 1, a tremendous suit, with a large tub for 2, with all or facilities and a very spacious shower. 15 minutes a ourense, and 30 min pixigueiro, the attention and response of borja to been excellent, we will definitely repeat!

Spectacular house. Spacious and spacious. Perfect for a group of people. There is intimacy due to the individuality of their rooms with bathrooms. The house is super well decorated and clean.. Fully equipped. Tiago is a great host and worth knowing. He treated us excellently . Very friendly. I'm sure we'll repeat if we have the chance.

We had a great time at Ann and her husband's place. They are lovely hosts, who made us feel very comfortable. The pool is a big plus. It feels like home. Above all, do not change anything and continue to make the guests who are visiting your beautiful home happy. we would have liked to continue the stay. Everything was perfect.

Getting to Patti's house is like getting to heaven. Charming, cozy and warm country house. A large and beautiful garden that was cultivated by Patty and her husband. When we arrived we received a tour of the garden filled with fruit trees, vegetable and flowers and got to taste the incredibly delicious produce. The large garden has hidden corners near the forest where hammocks and swings hang where you can disconnect and rest unobtrusively and listen to the sound of birds chirping and the opposing water in the stream. The house was so very cosy. The bedroom is bright with two large windows overlooking the green views and the beautiful garden and the bed was so comfortable! In the shower, Patti's handmade natural soaps with an intoxicating smell. The upper floor also has a living room that is decorated with so much grace. Breakfast is served on the balcony overlooking the view and everything is so aesthetically served and awe-inspiring and of course so delicious. Patty even spoiled us with a special pesto from the leaves of a fig that was peeling in the garden, made by her. Patty recommended to us beautiful cities and stunning beaches a short drive away. And finally, Patti and her husband are such wonderful, warm and nice people! Visiting. They are fascinating people and made us feel at home. We would definitely love to stay in Casa Natura again, a one-of-a-kind place that will stay forever in our hearts

A really lovely room just like the photos. The family were all very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready and looked after our bags on our last day .We had a fantastic meal one evening in their restaurant, not to be missed . The only down side was it’s a reasonable walk to the old town of Porto but if you don’t mind that it’s a lovely place to stay

We had a very quiet night at this cottage. The room was very well equipped, comfortable and the neighborhood is particularly quiet. Check-in was easy, Leticia was there to greet us and explain everything. The only note we have to make: the listing indicated breakfast which was not the case for our stay. (Leticia was not there in the morning, we couldn't ask her the question). But overall the night was perfect!
