Mountain Riverview Cliff House in The Lost Sierra

Escape to this welcoming three-bedroom mountain home with spectacular views of, Penman, and, Jackson Peaks, while overlooking the Middle Fork of the Feather River which is carving the Mohawk Valley 300 feet below. The open living space is perfect for relaxing after a day of museums, fishing, hiking, biking, boating, skiing, snowshoeing , swimming. golfing, or just exploring the Sierra Nevada. The Lakes Basin with more than 20 lakes for boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and famous Sierra Buttes lookout is 20 minutes away. Eureka State Park where gold was discovered in the 1850s is a 10 minute drive. The three closest golf courses are a mile from the house, with three more to choose from within 7 to 15 miles. Western Pacific Railroad Museum; 10 miles. Pacific Crest Trail is within a 30 minute drive. The closest fishing and picnicking area is at the Middle fork of the Feather River directly below the house on our own private property. To get to it one must hike down a rather steep private trail to a private rocky beach, At the river , we have graciously provided our guests with chairs, tables, and chaise lounges. The front of the house has plenty of room to play frisbee golf, kickball, volley ball etc. Game pieces are provided in the game bench outside. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area make it easy to gather for home-cooked meals and conversation. If you wish, you can chill out on the view deck and have a BBQ on the patio. If you bring your own wood you may build a fire in the wood stove located in the dining room/kitchen. Each bedroom offers a quiet, comfortable retreat. The view bedroom downstairs, as well as the upstairs family room, offer the spectacular views described above. The master has a private bathroom with heated floors and a Bidet. The upstairs has toys galore for the kiddos and a gaming TV. Whether you're planning an outdoor adventure or a peaceful getaway, this home provides the ideal balance of comfort and nature. The closest wine bar and restaurant is a 5 minute walk down the hill and tavern is one more minute of walking past the restaurant. Graeagle, which is 1 mile away, provides many Boutique shops, several eateries, grocery store, gas station, health clinic, ATM, antiques, the Mill Pond for swimming and lots of green grass for picnicking, mini golf, horse back riding stables, driving range, tennis/pickleball courts, 2 local brewerys, a salon , a bar and wine bar. Blairsden, 2 miles away has Ace Hardware, Take out pizza. frosty, and 2restaurants.
