Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mercer County

The house was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The water toys that were available were a fun touch. The outdoor decks are great places to hang out, too!

Shirley and John were absolutely amazing, one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. We traveled with a group of seven guys to do the bourbon trail. The movie room was perfect for kicking back and watching the derby, the new putting green is awesome and there was plenty of room to spread out when you needed some quiet time. We paid extra to have some meals prepared for us to make things easier and leave more room for hanging out. We felt at home the whole time and some great food, highly recommend. You can’t go wrong with this place for a family or big group. Would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing place to stay! The scenery was breathtaking, the owners kind, and it was so peaceful. My 16 yr old got to pet horses and talk to cows, and my 5 yr old flew a kite and had plenty of space to run around. I definitely recommend staying here for any getaway and some fresh air!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was unique in that it offers a main house and a guest house, and it turned out that this was the perfect arrangement for us (2 moms who are close friends, and our two sons, who are also close friends). When we weren't out and about, we all hung out in the A-frame main house. At bedtime, we parted ways.The A-frame has everything you might need during your stay. Then you also have the boathouse, which is beyond cute and very cozy. Both structures overlook the lake, and the outdoor deck spaces are very comfortable and inviting. I especially appreciated the propane fire pit one evening when it got a little chilly. Also, having a Keurig and pods in each house was awesome! Shelly sent detailed directions in advance of our travels, which was very helpful, and she made some local recommendations re: food and groceries. We followed up on those, and were not disappointed! She was also very responsive to us when we asked for assistance or recommendations. <3

Susan was a wonderful host and her home was beautiful with a historical charm (and spotless). We had a party of 8 and it left us more than enough room for privacy and socializing. We enjoyed the small (and large) touches that made this a special and unique stay. We all enjoyed the train more than I expected and spent a late night playing family games in the dining room. The girls all enjoyed the decor for social media worthy pictures and it was fun for us to be able to get ready together in the large master bedroom and bathroom with the cutest dressing area. Prime location for distilleries and a nice break from the crowds after a day at Keeneland. We hope to return again and be able to use the outdoor space as we just ran out of time. It made for wonderful memories for everyone and I thank Susan for that opportunity and her great hospitality.

Quiet retreat is right on the mark with this gem of a 3/2 home with rare King/Queen/Queen accommodations. Jeff is super responsive and gracious. Grateful for such a welcoming home on our travels to Kentucky!

I planned a surprise trip for my wife and I and we loved the location we stayed in. It was centrally located between the activities I had planned out. We would love to stay here again. Very peaceful and quiet location with fenced horse paddocks all around us. Nice change of pace.

Brent’s place was the only thing that didn’t go wrong on our trip. Curtis (co-host) was so kind and friendly when we met him doing landscaping for the properties they offer. Brent was very understanding of some changes to our plans and was a great host to work with.

I loved staying at this Airbnb! I needed a place to come for a personal prayer retreat and this was perfect!! looked exactly like the photos, had everything I needed and very kind, friendly and responsive hosts. I loved sitting on the back deck several times. The inside space was great for spreading everything out I was working on and praying over. It is in a very walkable area and I enjoyed a daily walk exploring new neighborhoods. And it was easy and very quick to get to the center of town to visit the Farmer's Market and a local donut shop, Burke's Bakery. Millennium Park is nearby and I loved going there for a run. Several good churches are close. There is nothing else that I could have asked for in this Airbnb. I just loved it and I will definitely return here for my next retreat.

Don’t sleep on this place. It’s fantastic. Decorated to historical era with great information but still with modern amenities that made this stay unique and remarkable. We made some great memories! I just wish I brought my petticoats for a fancy picture! 🤣 The location is great too. Walkable to downtown with lots of restaurants and only 2 walkable blocks to Rupp Arena. Hosts responded quickly with every need. Awesome stay!

Sabrina’s second story apartment was nicely decorated and stocked. It included an updated kitchen. The unit had lots of books to read and comfortable furniture. There is even a portable sound machine in the back bedroom. I love it, anticipating guest’s need for those of us who are light sleepers. The location was near a green space, and I enjoyed a quick jog through the adjoining neighborhoods.

Truly one of the best air bnb's I've stayed at, and I can't wait to go back! The home is quiet and private and the backyard/area looks fake it's so beautiful. The basement apartment is huge and has everything you could need. I felt right at home! Thank you so much!!

We came on a bourbon quest (it was successful)and an end of the school year teacher retreat. The cabin was perfect for our plans. Cabin matched the pictures and descriptions perfectly. Very responsive hosts with very clear detailed instructions. We loved playing records and the back sitting area was so peaceful. Cabin is equipped with all the things to cook. Coffee setup was great! Due to a massive amount of rain we did not get to walk the trail but it looked awesome. Getting to the loft was no problem and the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend!

Lauren was a great host! She was very responsive and kind. The home was amazing! It was perfect for our family vacation! We were able to enjoy several distilleries along the Bourbon trail and we loved coming back and relaxing in the evening! I would highly recommend this home!

This house and property is beautiful! We had such an amazing weekend. We love about an hour away and wanted to get away to the lake for our anniversary. Carolyn’s place did not disappoint! From the cozy beds and linens to the fully stocked kitchen and everything in between we felt truly at home. The space is open and airy and feels like you belong. The hosts have thought of it all. We spent 90% of our time outside on the deck or on the dock. It rained a good amount of the time but we still had a blast because the deck is fully covered. So much wildlife!! There’s a baby snapping turtle that lives in the yard and on the dock and deer were everywhere. The kayaks were a lot of fun too! This definitely won’t be our last visit here!

We really enjoyed this cute cabin and it was perfect for our Kentucky bourbon Trail. Very clean and James was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us very useful info. Friendly dogs and cats that roamed around.

My little dog and I adored staying at the cabin. The farm setting was gorgeous! The cabin was modern yet quaint at the same time. It’s a little off the beaten path but that’s the point, isn’t it? It’s really just a few minutes south of the interstate, but it feels far removed from all that hustle and bustle. Even if you are just stopping for the night, this is an experience worth so much more than just a place to sleep. The farm animals are all friendly and it was a delight to see them. Kimberly responded to my questions within minutes, not that I had many. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We were pleasantly surprised at how well the place fit all our needs. There’s a lot packed into this place - lots of beds, good games, extra tables and chairs…. Gorgeous grounds and we loved the large back porch area!

This was a great getaway for my boys and myself! We specifically booked this cabin because it was by the lake and we wanted to fish pretty much the entire time. If you're planning on using your own boat, like we did, you have to use the boat dock. It is about 4 miles from the cabin. The cabin is very peaceful and very secluded. Be very careful when walking to the lake from the cabin, it can be very slippery when it's wet. The stairs coming in and out of the cabin can be slippery as well. It was very clean and anything you need, Mary is just a call away!
