What guests are saying:

“What can I say about this piece of Paradise that hasn't been said before? Well, I'll just say that from the moment John greeted us we were in awe of the surroundings. We loved exploring the grounds (and its hidden treasures) and relaxing in the sauna and hot tub. The beautiful studio apartment was the icing on the cake. All in all, this weekend excursion was a perfect 30th anniversary getaway!”

Water Tower Retreat
SUPERHOSTTiny house · 3 guests · 1 bed · 1 bath
Water Tower Retreat

The Water Tower is tucked away and nestled among redwoods a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. This is a place to disconnect and reconnect with the surroundings. To unplug and decompress from busy life. About 5 miles from our town of Elk and a nice coastal drive 14 miles to the historic village of Mendocino. All bookings include 11% Mendocino bed tax. Our calendar is typically open 3 months in advance. If there are specific dates you are interested in, don’t hesitate to ask :)

What guests are saying:

“Rob & Elsa's place was such a perfect reprieve from city life. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I'd recommend packing slippers, and cozy pajamas, it gets a little chilly at night. The single burner was plenty to make coffee and breakfast, and all the little touches around the place were so calming. We took so many pictures while we were here, the place is just made for Instagram! Of note, I'm 6 months pregnant and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone further along in their pregnancy, the ladder going up to the bedroom would be tough to climb with a bigger belly. We cant wait to come back!”

Secluded 33 Acres / Ocean 1 Mile
SUPERHOSTEntire guesthouse · 2 guests · 1 bed · 1 bath
Secluded 33 Acres / Ocean 1 Mile

Beautiful living space in our detached garage, 100 ft. from our main house. We have 2 large dogs, so we love other animal lovers! We are 4 miles north of the village of Mendocino, set within a mixed Redwood forest, pasture and seasonal stream. We pay an 11% hotel tax to Mendocino County, so we'll let you know how much it is, then cash is best when you arrive. One time $25/dog fee per dog. Dogs must always be on leash and never left alone. Please leave very anxious or aggressive dogs at home.

What guests are saying:

“Catherine & Mark are wonderful hosts, who will give you plenty of space but are always there when you need them. The place is in a wonderful location surrounded by tall redwoods, yet sunny enough to sit outside. It is away from everything yet less than 10 minute drive to either Mendocino or Fort Bragg. Catherine responded to all my emails and questions almost immediately. We stayed in the cottage next to their home and it was a perfect size. Because of COVID19 we ended up eating in more than usual and all the amenities were there. If you need Wifi, the signal was exceptionally strong and then there were all the blackberries you can eat outside. Finally, if you love animals, the two Leonbergers are the friendliest dogs you will ever meet. I can wholeheartedly recommend Catherine's place, it's were we would stay if we come back to this area.”
