Gert’s place is super cute and cozy, exactly as pictured and described. It was conveniently located between Saranac lake and Lake Placid. It’s also a 3 minute walk to the rail trail which was a great way to end the day. We saw lots of wildlife including deer, turkeys and a snapping turtle! The kitchen was well stocked with stainless steel pans, knives, spices and lots of extras! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning kept it cool on the hot nights. Best part was being allowed to bring our furry friend who enjoyed the dog bed provided. Overall a great place to stay and would highly recommend!

We stayed in the Treehouse for a weekend of hiking. The Treehouse is exactly as described, and the pictures are spot-on. It is fully stocked, and extremely well-maintained and clean. Tyler and Emily are extremely responsive and answered all of our questions thoroughly. For us, the location was great since we hiked Cascade and Porter mountains. The proximity to Lake Placid is also a plus. There is also an awesome outdoor space with a firepit.

Had a wonderful week here. hiking, kayaking, taking our boat around Oseetah, Kiwassa, Lower Saranac, Lake Flower.. Easy to get to? well, Sherry made it easy the first time, and we handled it after that.

A bright bedroom features a queen size bed with neutral bedding. Two large windows provide views of the lake, while a small wooden table and two stools are positioned nearby. Natural light is enhanced by recessed lighting in the ceiling.

Chuck was very responsive! Great place, we liked it because it was a drivable distance to lake placid without feeling like you were in the middle of a busy town. Would definitely stay again!

Cannot say enough good things about him and his island tree house! The boat ride to and from the island was so beautiful. Jim was incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly before/during our stay. The tree house was so cute, and anything we needed Jim helped us figure out. If you’re on the fence just book it!

Melinda’s was a great host, this place is in a great location. the drive to and from lake placid was beautiful and not too long. I made the mistake of thinking that this studio apartment was a separate entity and then realized it was underneath Melinda’s home. But Melinda gave very safe, kind, welcoming vibes, so all was well.
