RetroModern in the Woods Steps from Linville Gorge

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was our second stay at Andrew's, and it was just as amazing as the first. The house is always perfectly clean, and has every amenity that we need. The views with the 360 windows make you feel like you're in a tree house, and the skylights are amazing at night for looking up at the stars. The hot tub is super clean, easy to use, and completely private with a perfect view of nature. There are so many awesome hikes in the area, and we love stopping at the Mercantile a few minutes down the road for meals. 10/10. Will definitely come back as much as we can!

Serene Log Cabin with Hot Tub Outdoor Fireplace

PamelaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If you’re looking for some beautiful peace and quiet in the woods, this is your paradise! We loved this cabin. The drive is winding (but not too steep) in a beautifully private area. The hot tub, ping pong table, pool table, and classic Nintendo were perfect for our family, but the outside deck and fireplace was where we spent a ton of time. Close to Linville Caverns/Falls and a hop from Marion, this place fits the bill for an accessible mountain stay. There are a ton of beds/sleeping options and the downstairs bunk room is almost its own apartment (perfect for our teen). We can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for our anniversary weekend. My favorite part was sitting in the hot tub after a good hike listening to the sound of the river in the back yard. The cabin was squeaky clean, updated, and had a very well stocked kitchen. They thought of everything you may need during your stay. We can’t wait to come back again!

Cozy cabin, a private, romantic, peaceful getaway!

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
As locals we are super picky about a private mountain cabin but this was ACTUALLY private! No people around. Lovely cabin. We were so tired of sitting at home and looking at our storm damage but this was the perfect vacation! The woods are beautiful and we couldn’t believe how much we needed that. Definitely going to be going back!

DUTCH RETREAT Grassy Mt Trail Little Switzerland

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I really enjoyed my stay here! The cabin was very charming and comfortably fit me and 4 other guests. Everything seemed well-kept and clean. The basement where I slept was just as nice and comfy as the rest of the house, with its own kitchen and shower. The only complaint I have, if you could call it that, is that the dirt road to get to the cabin was rocky and a bit treacherous. Proceed with caution if you have a vehicle that is wide or that doesn't have 4-wheel drive. Drive EXTREMELY slow when going downhill and follow the directions to get there carefully or you might end up stuck on the side of the mountain in the middle of nowhere with no service. All that being said, once you get there, you'll have a great time. Beautiful and quiet location, much better value than a hotel.
