The 5 ⭐ is more for Carlos's service & hospitality, he was helpful let me take my suitcase to his home before check in, picked me up to take me to the apartment when it was ready & gave me a SIM with internet, this is needed as there's no WiFi other than in hotels. It's 20 mins to old Havana in a cab, I didn't want to be in the centre, I like less noise, there's a lot of noise from the cars outside here, if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The electric goes out a lot so prepared for that, standard everywhere in Cuba unless you're in a hotel. I couldn't use the kettle or pans as they were rusty, mentioned this to Carlos, said he will replace them. The ways of Cuba are different to most places, standards are a lot lower but it will humble you, I'm fussy but I managed. The bed is comfy, you can see the sun rise from the front, huge cemetery at the back which I liked, lots of restaurants & attractions, Malecon, John Lennon park, hotel nacional & central park. Worth the price!

This was my third vacation to La Habana and I brought a friend with me to experience the culture of Havana. I selected this Maylin’s place based on the reviews and knew it was a very desirable location. I would agree with the reviews that I read regarding Maylin’s place and really enjoyed our 9 day stay. Javier and Ivis are the onsite hosts were very kind and quick to respond to any questions or concerns – I couldn’t have asked for better attention. I communicated with google translate with no problem. It is an incredible location and the balcony overlooking Plaza Vieja that can’t be beat. You can see locals going about their daily lifes and the sounds of live Cuban music from the restaurants around the Plaza. Make sure to have your phone “unlocked” before arriving and get a Cuban SIM for connection. I hope to stay here again. Any problems we experienced are normal in Cuba and are not exclusive to this place and should not reflect negatively on our wonderful hosts.

The stay was wonderful! The service was incredible from the beginning, always with quick, complete answers that helped us. The apartment is comfortable, has air-conditioning in the bedroom, is close to cafes, restaurants, well-known squares, downtown Havana. And the highlight was Leysa, who helped with absolutely EVERYTHING we needed and in a super kind way. As it was our first time in Cuba, we did not know some of the dynamics of the place, such as some places for shopping, money exchange, etc. I highly recommend this apartment!

Excellent apartment, in the heart of Havana Vieja. Great location, 5 minutes' walk from Plaza Vieja and 10 minutes from the Capitol. Equipped, open and very charming kitchen, two good bedrooms, two good bathrooms, careful decoration. The neighborhood is, all of it, very degraded, with great poverty and a lot of garbage in the streets: for those looking for an aseptic hotel, this is certainly not a good option. But for those looking for the genuine city, local life and daily life, this is an excellent address. Cláudia, who takes care of the apartment, is super-efficient, helpful and lovely! I absolutely recommend it!

Nice experience, fascinated with the apartment, everything was very clean and well-equipped, the view was incredible, zero blackouts in that area, the building was very safe, elevator and private parking inside the building, Karla and her father Javier's service was excellent, very friendly and helpful, we will definitely return, I rate it 11 out of 10.

This apartment was perfect—clean, safe, and the private balcony delivered incredible sunset views over Havana. We hitchhiked into the city (common in Cuba), and it cost $10–$15 USD to get to Centro and Habana Vieja. Armando, the property manager, was kind, responsive, and helped us prepare for the infrastructure challenges in Cuba. Electricity outages happen daily for 3–4 hours and don’t follow a strict schedule. Bring power banks (ideally with DC outlets for the WiFi). Restaurants can’t operate well during outages, bring lots of snacks like energy bars, and a water filter such as a LifeStraw. Bottled water is hard to find—Armando sells small bottles for $1. Petty theft is rising due to economic hardship, so stay alert, especially at night. We were three women and had no issues, but stayed aware and made local friends who looked out for us. Despite these challenges, Havana is vibrant, resilient, and welcoming. Tourism is vital now—don’t skip it. This is the place to stay.

Rubén is very friendly. He was able to orient us very well in the city, the apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need as at home, with an ocean view from all angles of the apartment the terrace a dream even with a hammock.

Super nice apartment...one of the nicest I have stayed in on many visits to Havana. Ana who manages the home lives next door, so very easy to get help. She gave me some meds that changed my trip for the better. Highly recommend this place.

I had a fantastic experience staying here! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start—sharing all the information I needed about the country, which made a big difference in my trip. The place itself was beautiful, exactly as described, and in a perfect location to explore the area. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

The accommodation is very good! The description and photos are as published Very comfortable and practical Although it is 2 blocks from the Capitol, we believe that the location is not the best... we arrived on a Sunday and it was full of people... Marcos and his partner welcomed us and gave us many local recommendations, we are very grateful to them! They were very friendly and attentive to our needs at all times Thank you!!!

Camera on the inside of the front door, before you go upstairs to the apartment. Store right next door for drinks, food, etc. Restaurants just a block away. The owner was helpful with any questions I had. Wifi was good! Bathroom is big and nice. Highly recommend this place! I had a great time. It was my first time at this place. Great place to stay with local vibe. Awesome breakfast, and hosts are kind and honest. Particular mention to Saul and Ofelia who are trustworthy and both offer superb customer service.

I will give it 10/5 if possible, one of the best airbnb I ever had. The house was made by love, you can find all the details and furnishment wonderful. Great sunlight, winds always come through the house. Cindy was so helpful, helped us change money, gave us recommendations of local food and experience.

Normally i prefer hotels instead of Airbnb accommodations, however due to the purpose of our trip hotel would have been too far out of our reach in terms of locations. After, extensive research on Airbnb and days in between of thinking things through i was able to conclude a decision, a decision that brought me great satisfaction. Everything was precisely as describe on the website. The apartment was in a peaceful neighborhood, the interior was tasteful, with all of the modern amenities, the elevator was a plus very convenient, the wireless internet connection in the apartment remained on without disruption, providing a reliable high performance broad band service. Breakfast was quite the affair, with fresh mango juices, Cuban coffee, fresh toast, waffle pancakes, omelet with bacons all provided by Aileen mom. Alieen was extremely attentive, insightful, and understanding. Alieen mother is such a beautiful soul, she treated me like a daughter, i love her. I will stay there again.

Andres home felt my home away from home. From the coziness to the spaciousness of this home I would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Cuba. Not far at all from all the main attractions beautiful Cuba has to offer. I was greeted by host and was assisted with my bags. Andres also offer airport pickup as an option by amazing driver Charlie. My first visit to Cuba was truly enhanced by this experience and would definitely return back to this hidden gem.

Simply spectacular! Wow! The pictures don’t do this place justice. As soon as you walk in you are overtaken by the size- it’s huge! At some moments it feels like you’re in a labyrinth and in disbelief that, “wait, there’s more?” This house is a historic structure that has carefully and pristinely maintained. The level of cleanliness and comfort have exceeded 98% of the Airbnbs (and yes, in the US) that we have stayed in (and we have stayed in really nice places). I failed to ask where the mattresses are from, but they feel as if they were intended for royalty. The decor, furniture, flooring, ceiling… everything is perfect. This could easily serve and be described as a mini museum that you get to sleep in. Cary and Felix are exceptional hosts. From the beginning, communication was constant, answered all questions we had almost instantly. As soon as we arrived, they were incredibly welcoming, making us feel like family. Words are not enough to express our gratitude for the experience we had in this beautiful apartment! The apartment itself gorgeous, very spacious and extremely well decorated. We loved every detail! There were terraces and views in every direction! Breakfast on the terrace upstairs every morning was delicious and stunning! And pool was wonderful for our tired bodies and feet that danced all day and night. And July, our host was absolutely the best!!!! He was so sweet, helpful and accommodating!! We will be back for sure!!

One of the best airbnb's we ever had! Perfect location, nice restaurants and shops closeby and very close to the centre of Havana. The appartment is perfect, lots of space, great wifi, big kitchen with espresso machine! The best is the rooftop with different terraces where you can relax in the jacuzzi and sit comfortable during day and night with a drink and nice view of the sea and the city! Yoanne and Azaray are the best, they are always available for help and tips. We will come back for sure!
