Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Matterhorn

I consider myself lucky to have discovered this quiet oasis in the vineyards of Vallamand. Naomi and Romain were there when I needed them and left enough privacy, even though they live in the same house. The interaction was very pleasant. The studio is a perfect place for singles with a need for rest as well as for couples to experience a change of scenery and enjoy the most beautiful view of Lake Murten and the vineyard landscape. The garden seating area is like another world, the furnishings are simple, but very atmospheric. A Denner is easily accessible nearby via a walk. I would love to come back another time, because I feel reborn after the stay. Thank you so much Naomi and Romain for the wonderful stay!

What a wonderful and peaceful experience it was to stay at Emanuel’s greenhouse. I only wish we had booked a longer stay. His offer (and accepted) to pick organic strawberries from inside the greenhouse was much appreciated.

Fantastic views of lake and mountains from every room, patio and balcony. Great location/easy access to all attractions in the Berner Oberland area with all the amenities needed. Highly recommend!

The most amazing spot! We had the most perfect stay with our 2 year old son. The house was exactly as described and spotless with the bonus of parking. The host was so helpful and very gracious, despite our timekeeping. The terrace was superb with stunning sunset views. We loved driving along to Talloires which had great restaurants, along with an amazing boulangerie (Le Fournil de mon Père). The beaches in Talloires and Angon were great. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We had the pleasure of spending a few unforgettable days at Katie’s beautiful apartment in Ronco sopra Ascona. The view is absolutely breathtaking – Lake Maggiore stretches out at your feet, with Ascona and the Brissago Island in full view, framed by the surrounding mountains. The long hours of sunshine on the spacious terrace were a true highlight. The apartment is nice furnished, very well maintained, and offers plenty of space with its three bedrooms – ideal for families or small groups. Everything was clean and perfectly prepared – you can tell Katie is a thoughtful and caring host. The location is peaceful, yet just a short drive from Ascona and the lake. The combination of privacy, stunning views, and comfort makes this place a real gem. We’d love to come back – thank you, Katie!

We had an unforgettable stay at Tina and Fredy's. The view from the accommodation is simply breathtaking, a real slice of heaven in the middle of nature! We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit is clean and comfortable for our family of five (one infant). It has a separate entrance for guests and dedicated parking space. Kitchen is complete with all the appliances & utensils. Elisabeth was super nice and friendly. She brought our kids to see the animals and they love it. She provided some groceries n chocolate and she even baked bread for us. hopefully we have the opportunity to stay here again.

Nice apartment (clean and modern inside) with a lake view. I can imagine the fireplace must be nice if going in the winter / after skiing. And the terrace would be very nice in the summer as it’s large and has a nice view. As I happened to be there during off season (early May) and it was raining, I was especially happy to be able to use the sauna just 1 floor below the apt. If you use it, make sure to bring 3-4 one-franc coins (can get some at the store a few houses down on the Main Street), and give it about 40 min on switch option B. Was great for some down time in the mountains!

Anna's place is perfect to spend a few days in the area. The views are fantastic and the area is beautiful and quiet. The apartment has everything you need to cover basic needs. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Yrina and her kind daughter, who told us everything we needed for our stay. Anna left us pasta and homemade tomato sauce that was delicious. Also homemade jam (incredibly good), butter, honey, bread, milk, juice, yogurt, fruit... a nice welcome touch that is much appreciated if you arrive a little late and have nowhere to go to buy or dine. We are very happy with our stay in the apartment and if we return on vacation to the area we will definitely repeat in Anna's apartment. Thank you very much.

We stayed at Tina’s apartment during our trip to Switzerland. The apartment is fabulous and Tina is a great host. It was just like as described in the pictures. Easy to locate with great surroundings. It had all the essentials and both check in and check out was smooth. Definitely recommended when you visit Zermatt.

The surroundings of Doris's apartment are simply WONDERFUL, a special place that will make you feel immense regret when you have to leave. Loved this condo. It was spotless, easy to find and the location was excellent. It was not in the middle of town with the crowds, yet easily walkable. Loved the peace and quiet and the views were amazing. A view of Staubbach falls right in front of the kitchen windows and at night the falls are lit up and look magical. The snow capped Mountain View’s of Breithorn mountain from the deck and literally from the sofa as you are watching tv, were awe inspiring. Comfy furniture and bed and a well equipped kitchen. Lisa was great with recommendations and super responsive.

The communication in advance was very friendly and the check-in was therefore easy and relaxed. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The apartment is great and we immediately felt very comfortable. Everything is well thought out and nothing is missing. I have rarely experienced this. We will be happy to come back and I can recommend this place 100%.

We especially appreciated the welcome Swiss chocolate and a guidebook—it was such a thoughtful touch! We spent 4 nights in an absolutely ideal place to rest. The setting is very quiet, with a magnificent view of the lake, perfect for disconnecting. We had a place with an outdoor kitchen, which was really nice to enjoy the environment. The room was very good, comfortable and clean. The place is also perfectly suited for a stay with a small child: there is a sandbox, a swing, some toys on site, a high chair, a crib… even board games for family evenings. The owners are lovely, with lots of small touches that make the difference: on our arrival, fresh fruit, yogurt, beer… And for those who like their peace and quiet, don't worry, we hardly saw them The only small point of improvement in my opinion would be the addition of a small pool, that would really be the cherry on top. But otherwise, everything was great, a real slice of heaven
